Damn, Thragg thought he had Mark in a moral checkmate but Mark just said "bet"
Many comics, media etc in this point would have Mark still try be on a guilt trip over killing an enemy ignoring all his build up for the sake of the dramatic moment. Mark going "bet" felt like the natural outcome.
This isn't simply being a hero to him, anymore. This is him, as a father, facing a very real and direct threat to his family.
In that moment, his "Being a hero is bullshit" instinct was right.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Nolan was an extremely pragmatic fighter, and some of that rubbed off on Mark. Being a superhero who refuses to kill is fine when you're so OP you can afford to do so; when killing is the best or only way to protect innocent life, you kill.
Actually, Trigun had a really good scene where Vash, overpowered superhuman that he is, who has always refused to kill no matter how much it cost him, is finally put in a no-win, inescapable situation where the only way he can protect innocent life is to kill the bad guy. And even though it hurts his soul, he pulls the trigger.

Mark isnt even close to Thragg (not even in the final fight. Without Robot saving Marks ass twice Thragg would have killed him). Oliver however had the potential to become far more powerful in a couple of decades. But Mark ofc has the Potential to become stronger then Thragg... this and his Bloodline make him enemy Number 1 for Freddy Mercury :D

They just race and gender swapped few characters like the Guardian Of Globe... just only Green ghost and Dark Wing, and also Amber ofcourse. But nothing major, they at least kept true with the story and main characters.

Thragg is honestly GOATED when it comes to being an antagonist. He’s genuinely terrifying and badass. There’s a sense of uneasiness when he’s on screen.

Easily the most broken Characrter in the Comic. Immortal, can make herself more powerful in the Process and can even powerup others. Makes me wonder why they didnt abuse that power more. :P

@@Y0G0FU It's a little predictable because it always happens when the villains bring the heroes to the brink of death but then walk away instead of confirming the kill. Thragg spells out his explicit reasoning for why he wants them to suffer before slowly dying so it's not a plot hole per se, but it's still a very cliché turn of events especially considering how the entire comic is about subverting or refuting classic Superhero Comic tropes. I think the only reasons more people don't complain about it is because of how gruesome and shocking the presentation is, and how Eve clearly suffers so the power boost doesn't feel undeserved
She wasnt dead, the bloodloss and shit would have killed her over time, she made a conscious decision, if they went for the head, she'd be dead

(SPOILERS) I still call BS on his death. Especially since Mark got an even worse disembowelment by Conquest, and most of Nolan's torso being obliterated by Thragg and still somehow managed to survive even for a bit after that.

But being about to die so many times in such a short time, seeing her uncle be brutally murdered and her parents being mutilated in front of her ... How did it not leave her traumatized? Or at least in shock for a few hours? The fear passed so quickly that she even immediately said "I can see your butt, oh how embarrassing". All credibility goes to hell.

Credibility doesn't rely on a strict adherence to the most typical behavioral response. She just isn't neurotypical of a human. Who knows how viltrumite children would react, would be expected to react. And even if she WERE human, she could still be non-neurotypical. It doesnt have to mean she has some acute disorder, either. Real people react to violence differently than one another and probably even differently than themselves in other given moments, due to moods or neurochemical states. Once, me and my friend stopped a sexual assault by pure incident and the lady was beaten with a hammer, but her first concern was that her dog not get away even as the guy with the hammer was still clearly meditating continuing. And for my part, in my interiority, I wasn't NEARLY as concerned with the woman's safety as I always assumed someone would be. I don't think I would have abandoned her if he DID continue, perhaps in large part because my friend was there, but I also didn't feel super into the whole situation--it was more like "Oh I guess I'm supposed to stand here until he leaves I guess" like a order at work that needed to be completed but with a process or procedure I had never personally used. Not in shock, not out of body, but also not as tense or focused as one would assume natural given the circumstance. It felt downright unceremonious when the man left in his pickup truck without saying a word to any of us. Of course, if I knew the lady, it might have been totally different. I like to think it would be, for certain. But if I watched someone I loved TORN IN HALF but then BROUGHT BACK BY THEIR OWN VOLITION INSTANTLY, I don't know. I'd probably just be stoked.

Eve is like DC's Superman, her powers are super OP but she is always acting weak. She can literally *shapeshift matter just by thinking of it* . Why doesn't she just look at her enemies and disassemble their atoms? She can turn people into goo only by wishing it.

If you read the comic, you would know Eve has a mental block that prevents her from manipulating biological matter. It’s a complex- she sees it as wrong, and is unable to do it unless she’s in a traumatic scenario
Funny you say that, because the organization that gave her power thought the same, and as an organization with... flexible morals they thought that maybe she could turn on them for whatever reason, so... as a guarantee, they put a psychic block where she can't use her powers in living matter unless she is practically dead.

Eh, I don't think Oliver won a single fight against another Viltrumite in the series. Honestly (especially considering how Thragg's army fares), it's a miracle he lasted this long.
@Singularity I really hate how inconsistent the lore is about Viltrumites. At first it's explained that they have dominant genes that override whatever species they mate with and the only thing differentiating their strength levels is royal blood. Then suddenly their donor species effects their maximum potential, even though they're supposed to just all be 100% viltrumite. So now Oliver, who has royal blood, is able to be easily one-shotted by a guy who doesn't just because he's half Thraxan, which technically shouldn't matter. This also implies Thragg chose to build his army out of literally the weakest Viltrumites possible. I love the series but Viltrumite genealogy is a convoluted mess.

Wait a second... Since Eve can revive herself and Mark back from the dead. WHY DAFUQ DIDN'T SHE REVIVED OLIVER!?
Eve can't bring people back from the dead (except for herself but even that has a limit). Her and Mark were still technically alive but Oliver had died from his injuries already.
They need to be closer to her to be revived. And she can only do it when she is in a matter of life or death situation. Thats explain at the end of the comics when she dies of age and gets automatically revive by her powers. So yeah she is inmortal literally.
Eve cannot bring people back from the dead. Not even herself. When she is about to die she gains access to all her powers and that’s why she was able to rejuvenate herself.
Invincible characters literally get torn to shreds and ripped in half and somehow survive in the next issue.

No no. This isn’t plot armour. It’s like molecule man from marvel comics or the sentry but atom eves is on the molecule man side of strengths. She can already manipulate atoms in size and shape which can be said as reality manipulation to a scale. Like the reality stone from marvel too. Once molecule mind is freed of his limits his power is immeasurable and on a multiversal level.

He basically liquified Oliver's heart with that punch, and when he ripped Mark in half, his heart wasn't damaged. Nolan survived a little longer because he attempted to dodge, resulting in Thragg (maybe) grazing his heart. While it eventually killed him, Oliver however was dead on the spot.
mark really! needs to stop playing by the rules! if he could crush the small purple brat neck like that he should have ended him and the other one as fast as possible to have most of his energy and fight thragg with his brother and eve in the mix they could have done at least more damage to thragg (not kill him because i know how strong that dude is with his mustaaashhhhh and yes this is a dragon ball z abridged reference)
he was probably focused on protecting his daughter cus hes afraid if he goes all out someones gonna snatch her without him knowing (like thragg)
and then later after thragg did snatch her he could use him as a bargaining tool like he did

@@bluefire7780 the problem is we the readers thats read that part and the mark at that part knows when thragg has come but the mark from before then from before thragg had come doesnt yet know when thragg will come. in his mind there is always the possibility that thragg is already there but in hiding

Though I DO dislike how Invincible is too plot armor heavy and hacky too. Like Samantha saved Mark but couldn't save Oliver or Anissa.
But that's alright , at least it was something that established early on instead of how characters in Big Two become undead (except Superman, at least His case was really well done in terms of explanation and step by step of it).
