Man the scene with Sylvio and the over the top wink while getting a lapdance always cracks me up. Such a great mixture of comedy and tragedy, Shakespearian in scope and depth. You can feel devastated one moment and then laughing out loud the next. So good.
Artie is the cringiest of characters & was far from a “smooth family man”. He went after every young female that worked for him to assuage his midlife crisis & made a fool of himself whilst doing so. Hard worker, yeah but the rest…nope.

I remember when this first aired, I was already heavy into OZ on hbo and just caught Sopranos out of boredom ( mind you I was 13 at the time and was waiting on some salacious late night show hbo was so good at showing). And ended up following that show for the next 7 years religiously. Got my mom and brother into it as well. So funny how the first episode was in the style of a dark comedy and how serious it got as it progressed.
It’s amazing how much the show changes from season 1 to 6. I love every season, but between how much technology changed and how much darker the show became, it’s always kind of jarring at first whenever I restart the series. Going from the last episode to the pilot is really fun to see.
I Love the entire series but the earlier seasons were my favorites. I binge watch the entire series a couple times per year. It breaks my heart that so many cast members have passed away , especially James Gandolphini and Frank Vincent among many others. May they Rest In Peace.
