      @@brianarnold8666because she made it work. Her parents refused to help her. Of she was going to have to do it alone regardless, why stay and be shamed for it? Her parents ran her out of that house. Remember that she was a child when that happened. Children make dumb decisions, add the stress of being a parent to that. Her parents were adults and decided to act like children. Yeah she got knocked up, but she can’t change that now. What a callous comment

      @@brianarnold8666you must be a dude, because only a man could insult a 15 year old child from a bad home. It wasn’t easy for her to keep her identity as his mother a secret. She found a couple to adopt her and her baby. However, she had to give up being a mother and instead become the sister of her own child. It’s tragic that her own family wouldn’t help her until after she was adopted. She did whatever she had to do to care for her baby and herself.

    I figured it had to be a situation like this. I’ve never seen a mother pretend to be their child’s sister out of any reason other than pure desperation because she was a child herself. This girl’s fortitude is unreal. She left her country to try and provide a better life for her kid despite being 15, and it worked! It’s amazing.

      @@evilsnowflake8662 according to OP his bio mom essentially left thr day after. What the dad said was said in anger and he probably didnt stop looking for them at all until they reconnected. There was never a lack of support. If anything her father just wanted her to get her shit together, she did get knocked up by a druggie so shes obviously not the brightest. Yet she decided to run off like a child having a temper tantrum, she could have gotten herself and op killed from starvation. Sounds like she didnt improve anything considering they were living in a drug house for who knows how long until that countries version of CPS stepped in. The only thing she did right was keep contact with the nice couple. The reason op turned out okay isnt because of his sister/mom, its because of the great people that adopted them. I'm sure rose loved op more than anything but that doesnt make her smart or a good parent. I sure as hell wouldn't have forgiven her as fast as op did, i likely wouldve distanced myself from her for few months at least, if not longer.

    Rose got pregnant as a teen, ran away and they forgot her after a year. Even before the additional info the bio parents were incredibly sus. Even more so after the extra info she provided.

      Rose lied, essentially kidnapped her own child away from the actual guardians(in most countries since she was still a teen so her parents were legal guardians of both until she became 18), let her kid live in a drug house(probably while getting high herself). Vera story: my family has always commented on things like hands and feet, moles, birthmarks, where I get my tallness from (mom 5’5” dad was step dad - do not know bio dad)
    My sister has our/her dads hands and feet 100000% where as mine are more like our moms. My sister is so lucky, as is my daughter - they both have my moms gorgeous green eyes. I can just stare into them forever. And it’s funny because my sister and I do that with my kids, do they look more like me or their dad. I honestly think it’s a mixed bag. I see us both. Right now my son looks like the spitting image of his dad in HS and my daughter like me. But when they were younger we thought the reverse. I’m just glad that we see ourselves in our children.

    I don’t think telling the adoptive parents is a good idea. They’re happy, nothing is gained by them knowing the truth. Rose did the right think, a young runaway with a small baby in tow, not likely to be adopted. She did what she had to do, thought quick and likely saved both their lives. There’s no guarantee that the “lovely old couple” are going to understand the situation. 16:00

    • @persephone342
      @persephone342 3 месяца назад

      Facts! That’s the kind of secret you take to the grave. Nothing good will come from telling the truth now. If anything, they’ll probably just think the grandfather is the boy’s biological father and that she’s just to ashamed to tell them it’s her daddy’s kid. That nice old couple will have some serious cognitive dissonance even if she did tell them the truth. Trust me. If they realized she conned them without a bigger reason like incest being the reason she didn’t tell them her son was her son and not her brother. If it was incest, then technically, she wouldn’t have been lying when she said it was her brother. 🤷

      The other kids (OP's half siblings) weren't related to Vera, so that's why mum only pushed OP. They're the mum's kids from a previous relationship, and Vera plus OP are related via the father. So Vera and OP are half siblings via dad's side, and OP plus the other siblings are half siblings via mum's side. Not sure why mum didn't find Vera herself. Maybe dad didn't want her to or she wasn't good with using computers/social media. They mention Myspace and start of Facebook so it must've been some years ago.
