Luvin' the Landmines on my Capra. I had started with Pit Bull Growlers, which preformed "admirably"...but they're completely blown away by the Landmines. Hopefully, the Landmines will sell well enough for JConcepts to develope a smaller diameter 'scale' 1.9 version, as well as a (slightly) larger 2.2 version.
Nice test. You're vids and testing are fair. I also questioned the wheel mass, but was set straight with the commemts. I run both these tires. To be honest I believe they are evenly matched. At the local indoor course Hyrax rule... Until the Landmines showed up. I bought them direct, day one, and haven't been let down yet.
Awesome video! Your videos just keep on making me think of ideas to upgrade for my Defender TRX4. What about a comparison between the PL Hyrax and PL BFGoodrich Krawler? I'm leaning towards the BFGoodrich just because of keeping the scale look.
Although neither one is a "Scale" Tire... The Landmines look a bit better. They seem evenly matched, one better than the other and vice versa. Hopefully at some point I can find out for myself... Happy New Year to you and your Family! 🎉🍻🎉🍺🍹 Carmine
Nice Test. Looks like the Hyrax may have slightly edged out the landmines. I have been trying to buy a set of the landmines since I saw your first video on them but they have been out of stock🙁 What bumper are you running on the front of that Sport? And is it wide enough for c1 comp?
These landmines are perfect for the element because the tires and foam are very soft. Our element went up against our vanquish as well and results are coming soon.
I just bought some hyraxes a few weeks back and I've barely run them, I should have waited. Is it just me or does the small holes on the tread on the landmine look weird? It kind if makes my skin crawl.
The foams we’re running on these tires are both stock foams. And that is the important test. Maybe on the next test will run through a stage foams on both of them.
For the TRX6I would probably use the pro line KM three tires but at their compound on the very front. The key thing is to use pro line dual stage phone for support
So funny cause in the first test you use a red beadloocks with the hyrax and for the jconcepts I see you use the same bronze wheel and all another's test in the rock test you use a different beadloocks too with the hyras and for the jconcepts still use the same wheels and tires. 🤨 that's not fear. I like the jconcepts .
I recently put hyrax tires on my Gen 8 Scout and it is a completely different truck, but want to try the jconcepts tires on my Vaterra Suburban. What is the difference between the predator compound and the G8 that I got or is there a difference? Thank you for this video.
You advertise a tire, but it's not available anywhere. Your link directs everyone to Amain Hobbies, but they are on backorder. Any clue to when they will be available to purchase from anyone?
We're not really advertising anything, just reviewing an interesting new product offered to our category. They were around for a few days until they ran out of stock. Amain will put a date on the product page as soon as they know when it will be back in stock so that's the best bet for now.
@@RCReviewChannel I understand it is a review and I appreciate the time you take to do them. However, to make a review more fair, the time of comparison should at least be the same day. Different temperatures and humidity levels definitely effect performance. At first I thought the review was the same day until I heard you mention one of the tests done when it was more damp outside. It's not a huge factor to eliminate a tire brand from the review, but it would make the comparison more fair if done on the same day and with the same vehicle.
Great advice!!! Yes, same day is key because of the moisture content of the rocks and soil. Good news is we've used these tires on many conditions and the results on the video reflect our experience. But will use same day footage next time.
@@RCReviewChannel Dont get me wrong, the Jconcepts Landmines did perform and that is why I purchased a set...well purchased a backorder set of them at least. Keep up the good work. Your reviews are very much appreciated. I'm just a hard critic. 👍
Pull ova, License and registrations please. Well Mr. Frances, I got you this time. I'm gonna have to give yooz a "Warning like" for "Legally driving too perfect" and "Distracting the other drivers.". I bet you don't think twice about doing that again because you're a habitual RC addict. I'll be a habitual the second my Tactical Unit arrives.
I’m a little late to the party, but just picked up a set of landmines and can’t wait to try them out. Stuffed them with proline dual stage inserts.
JConcepts under estimated the demand for good tires. Sometimes cheaper is better, Proline watch out! The oldmitie dollar. Great job guys!!!
Great review, as always. I followed your link to the jconcepts but they're sold out... Not pointing any fingers... [points finger at RC Review] 😀
Guilty!

Our thoughts exactly. We can’t wait to try these landmines on our other vehicles.
I love my Hyrax with dual stage foam and Gmade wheels on Trx4 Blazer goes where you point it.
Man the Hirax did a lot better in my opinion, Great video non the less 👌🌞🌞😎
Nice test, I like the looks of the Jconcepts tires.
Happy new year. still waiting for you to do the BoomRacing hustlers lol
I got the hyrax and there awesome I recommend them for dirt rock and wood features
Thanks for all your videos!! Always helps me decide what to do and what to get..
Happy to help!
Right before 4:45 that climb was some amazing driving. Respect!!!!
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Awesome comparison brother, Happy New Year's to you and your love ones
Looks like you can’t go wrong with ether one. Nice review. Thank you for doing what you do so we don’t have to.
That's exactly our take. Nice to have a choice. And cool that the new option is cheaper.
Nice work. I think I’ll pick a set of the Landminds up. Have you tried the BFG Krawlers in Predator? Another excellent option. 👍🏼
Yes, we've tried. Those don't work too well for us. Not enough cuts, siping in the knobs perhaps.
@@RCReviewChannel what about the flat iron xl
In the dirt test the hyrax tires are on heavier vanquish wheels and land mines were on Sendero wheels. Did not seem fair to me.
Correct but the wheels are weighted to weigh the same.
Happy new year, dude! Best wishes for you and your family! 😊
Thank you same to you.
What’s the difference between the G8 compound and the Predator for the hyrax?
The G8 Compound is a little firmer. Predator is really soft and grippy.
Nice test. You're vids and testing are fair.
I also questioned the wheel mass, but was set straight with the commemts.
I run both these tires.
To be honest I believe they are evenly matched.
At the local indoor course Hyrax rule...

Thank you. It really seems like these two Are evenly matched in a cage match.
I just got these and they are out performing my hyrax.

Lol we meet again
Hyrax predator or lanmines ? Rock terrain
Same question
I wish you would have run the Traxxas Canyon tires also. Thanks for your time. Great video.
I’m looking to pick up the jconcepts once they’re back in stock.
Can't go wrong.
I am closed to buy Landmines ,but the Hyrax impressed me in this video a bit more. But price difference is not so much in europe.
Yup. The king won't give up the crown so easily.
Although neither one is a "Scale" Tire... The Landmines look a bit better. They seem evenly matched, one better than the other and vice versa.
Hopefully at some point I can find out for myself...
Happy New Year to you and your Family! 🎉🍻🎉🍺🍹

have you had boom racing hustlers on this area , if so how did they get on ??
Nice Test. Looks like the Hyrax may have slightly edged out the landmines. I have been trying to buy a set of the landmines since I saw your first video on them but they have been out of stock🙁
What bumper are you running on the front of that Sport? And is it wide enough for c1 comp?
Thank you for that comment. On the bumper, we’re not running one front or rear.
I was looking in your link to see if I could buy them
I’m on the road right now. So I’ll get the links up shortly.
Do you have portal brass covers on your trx4s and have you test the difference with and without?
Yes! The main difference is on the steepest parts of this test, the front goes down to allow the front tires to make contact and climb.
I'm interested in a set of those landmines!..I bet my element can out crawl your vanquish!
These landmines are perfect for the element because the tires and foam are very soft. Our element went up against our vanquish as well and results are coming soon.

James Liu you have Trypophobia
@@justinwood61 Yeah I probably do, small holes in great quantities freak me out.
James Liu I have it to bud
@@justinwood61 :)
Are you going to test some cheap tires? From like aliexpress banggood or something?
Don't think so. We've tried some from Amazon and aside from stealing designs, they don't perform and last. Tires are so key to these crawlers.
When will these tires be available
They were made available to weeks ago. But they quickly sold out at Amainhobbies
The Green compound is more equivalent to the G8 imo
What foams were you using on is the tires? maybe retest with the same foams?
The foams we’re running on these tires are both stock foams. And that is the important test. Maybe on the next test will run through a stage foams on both of them.
For trx6.... Hyrax predator o landmines?

You guys need to make sure you test tires on the same wheels if you are going to put them head to head
The wheels we are testing him on weigh the same we make sure that on the gram scale. Same weight too.
The JConcepts are not that much cheaper that it makes a dent in anybody's RC budget. :)
I recently put hyrax tires on my Gen 8 Scout and it is a completely different truck, but want to try the jconcepts tires on my Vaterra Suburban.
What is the difference between the predator compound and the G8 that I got or is there a difference?
Thank you for this video.
Predators way more sticky and work 30% better on rocks even wet,but the knobbys wear out quicker.
Agreed. Predators are king. They fold over a bit more in the rear on steep climbs. Dual stage foam is a good match for it for some sidehilling.
@@RCReviewChannel so the difference between the G8 and the predator is that the predator has dual stage foam?
No, the predator has softer and gummier rubber that's not as supportive. They share the same foam that is fairly soft.
@@RCReviewChannel Thank you.
I'm new to the crawler side of this but am addicted to it.. your videos are a huge help.
Happy New year
I like the Landmines and Trenchers more than Hyrax.
Not a fair comparison, landmines on cheep plastic wheels and Hryax on heavy metal wheels
Good news is those wheels are weighted and they weigh exactly the same as the other wheels. We prefer the Landmines right now and that's saying a lot.

thank you.
Like to get so.e landmines. But all back order
I hope they're making enough. It's probably best to backorder them to get first in line.
seems to skip alot on hurax.. And not on jconcepts.. Kinda questionable in my opinion..
Reminds me of a rockbeast.
Kind of but the tread design on the Landmine seems much more developed with all the levels, shapes and siping.
For what one of them trucks cost? I could go buy another. Sig to protect my family.
The problem is the tires that come with RTR trucks are pretty bad.
