Rusty is one off my favourite rigs in your Canyon - it handle so nice for a low ,long tail old pick up and that blue fender is spot on- nice - very realistic looking
Great comparison. I have the 4.19 landmines on my scx10ii, great tire. Just picked up a set of bounty hunters for my trailrunner. Wanted something more scale looking, all terrain type tread. Haven't ran them yet, but they do look great 👍 👍
I've tried about 5 different sets of beadlocks. I can't for the life of me get the bounty hunters to mount on anything. Is there any kind of trick for them? I've already beveled the inside edge of the foams.
Cool to see this comparison. I'm glad you have good performance from the class1 Landmines. I run those on my C1 build too. They handle the wet weather better than you would think. My local comp group did an epic trail run last year and it dumped rain the whole time. It was nearly 100 gates and most radios were giving up before people finished. Those landmines handled the rocks, rocks, moss and mud like champs. That said, I agree that I also think Tusks would clear mud better. Landmines do well enough though 👍. I am going to try double buns in my 4.75 Tusks. The timtins showed up today and the buns will be here tomorrow. I used your amazon links for those and other things and have an amain order to make tonight before their coupon expires. As I understand it, you get a little bit for whatever we buy after following those links. I try to follow them for whatever I need on a day. It's an easy way to support your efforts without costing me any extra 👍
What was most surprising to me is how close all three tires were in terms of performance. Each one had a slight edge under a specific condition, but they were all nearly interchangeable, despite having wildly different tread patterns. I imagine though that in the wet, the Bounty Hunters would get real bad, real fast. Double Buns FTW.
@@CrawlerCanyon Totally agree, I don't see them clearing that pattern. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen the local stores carry them that stock JConcepts
I've been running 4.75 hyrax forever, then predator compound swampers, and g8 BFG km3. But the last 2 times I've tried for 4.19, been skunked, and ended up with 393 tusk on SSD slots for my 10ii. Still want the tusk in 4.19.
Same. No idea why they opted for the 3.93, as the applications for that are pretty limited. Shoulda gone all-in and just made that one a 1.55. I’d have multiple sets.
I like my class 1 tusk I got them why cause out of stock like you said but I wanted try set! Haven’t much my scx102 blew trans and I e been building gspeed class 2 rig for comp so has taken all my Pennie’s hahaha 🤪
Really enjoyed this video. I've got Class 1 Tusks on my Phoenix, which i didn't intend but I'm really happy with them. The RC4WD lexan Tacoma body is so little and so narrow that it really can't handle anything larger, and the bumper looks too cool to cut up so I can fit bigger tires. I was shocked at how capable the Class 1 Tusks were--I could do almost everything my friend's Phoenix was doing on full size Vanquish tires. I also picked up a set of Duratrax Pivots to try once the weather breaks. Have you run any of the Duratrax Class 1s? They always show up on the Tower Hobbies month-end tire sale, so I was curious enough to grab a set at a deep discount.
I haven't, but not because I'm avoiding them-- I only have two rigs running Class 1s (Vanimal and Rusty) and they're doing great on their tires, so I haven't see the need to replace them. Lil Fella runs tiny 1.55s, and Ol' Blue is on oddball 1.7s. So take away those four, the two on 2.2s, and it's 16 Class 2 rigs-- hence why I have so many of those tires.
I wonder why Tusks aren't 4.19? They are almost small enough to be a class zero tire, 3.93 seems like such a weird size to go for. Too big for class 0, undersized for class 1.
Yeah, the 3.93 thing is weird, especially as they've done it more than once. I could see a lot more utility with the "little" Tusks as a proper Class 1.

Rusty was part of my inspiration for the clod ruster body.
Great comparison dude!
Love my ruptures for straight up performance they insane.....but, they not scale at all!!

Try the blue closed cell part of the Timtin dual stages in the 4.19 Landmines. I did that with the PL dual stages on my Bronco and it works great!

Simon here checking in from Merritt Island, FL. Wow, looks great. I can’t wait to see it at USTE. See you there.
USTE is taking place, umm, 2,570 miles from where I live. So that's not a thing I'll be doing.
My bad, however, I do love your videos. I meant to message RC every day. Hence, he will be there.

Awesome video. Have you tried the proline km3 in c1? I'm thinking about giving them a shot on my c1.
The Canyon is a ProLine-free zone, so I have not.
Km3 in g8 compound are totally good in every situation except mud. Not a mud tire, but they work on limestone extremely well

Did you see Duratrax is releasing a new tire? It's called the Fossil they are available for pre-order on Horizon hobby.
When they're readily available, I'll be picking up a set for sure.
Yeah man 😊
