      I would like to hear what you did to it also.
      I got the CJ for my Daughter and I was thinking I could do something similar to what I did for my Gladiator and Basecamp but I would be interested in hearing about your CJ before I start. Thank you.

    Overall great test man. Learned a lot from it. The lil jeep that could! Geesh that thing performed. Never woulda guessed it that’s good. If anything you may have sold me on a CJ!😁 seems like anything by proline works well, can’t go wrong there. Baja pros exceeded expectations. Kinda expect good things from the megs.

    Thanks! I loooove tire tests lol. Have you done the proline trenchers? I have them in predator with single stage anti-foams and they work amazing. Truck is just under five pounds.

      @3brothersrc418  11 месяцев назад +4

      We will be doing a comp tire test soon with the Trenches, and 6 other tires! I love the trenchers also.

    So on a smaller scale stuff I run the biggest tire in Jay Concepts lineup and when it comes to the megalithic one thing I've done was I trimmed probably a half a millimeter off of every lug and drop the lug size of it matter of fact I have found that with a lot of tires if you cut the lugs down by about maybe a third on the lug maybe not quite that much but it definitely helps from that like chunkiness and then my personal opinion man I've seen a lot of tires not perform as well with the 3D insert in them I seen a lot bounce in the tire with 3D inserts when I switch back to foam dual stage done really well really well from crawler Innovations

    Does the weight of the wheel affect tire proformance? I always wonder if I should run wheel weights and heavy wheels or or go light and adjust foams or inserts ? The whole weight of the rig wheels tire compounds , foams , 3d printed inserts. What is best? Hurts my brain! Lol so many options.

    • @3brothersrc418
      @3brothersrc418  11 месяцев назад

      Good question. Whether wheel or chassis they put down pressure on the tire. Generally weight on the tire equals traction. Heavy wheels can help with traction. How heavy is too heavy? that depends on the truck. But if you have a heavy body and chassis, you want heavier wheels to help off set that high weight up top. And the heavier your truck is the more you need to support the weight through tire inserts. That is why with our Anti-foams they are tunable with tuning rods to support the weight of the truck if needed.

    Ruptures…….only thing I’ve found close to pins.
    The voodoo high on my list but hate not making a crawl because of a tire…..

      @3brothersrc418  11 месяцев назад +1

      Same for me. But remember this test was with a fairly heavy trail rig. I will be doing a comp tire shootout with a lighter class 2 truck soon. I am guessing the voodoos will do better. Also they were right out of the package for this test.

    Would’ve liked to see a set of krawlers in the test. Compete directly with megalithic

    Just picked up a set of the Holds. Was wondering if you tried them with the tread facing the other direction? I believe the other way was meant for rock crawling. That's why the step design is on the tread, am I wrong? It would be like the..... "feathered edge". Try them that way and see what you think. Great tire testing and thanks......new sub!

    Thank you very much for your work. I'm now waiting for a parcel with 2 types of tires that took part in your comparison. This information is very useful for me. Good luck my friend. I can't wait to see how these koleas will work with Russian soil and stones...

    Awesome tire test! I got a set of the JConcepts the hold after watching this for my cj7. Maybe I missed it, but where was the JConcepts the hold on gate 3?

    • @3brothersrc418
      @3brothersrc418  10 месяцев назад +1

      Somehow, that particular video clip got lost. Also, the mudslingers on gate 2. I will say the Holds walked right up gate 3.

    • @MidwestRCcrawler
      @MidwestRCcrawler 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@3brothersrc418 I figured something had to of happened to the footage of that gate. I assumed they did just that, walk up. I’m loving mine on my cj. Again, thanks for that test, I’ve been looking for a good tire, a good all around tire and The Hold is exactly that.

    • @3brothersrc418

      No brass at all. I lowered it and ran better shocks set up to 60% droop. It works very well for what it is. Love this truck.
