Gentry & sons needs this thing
He already got one a while back, and hasn't done a damn thing with it like he has done with most of his older COE projects. Don't even see it any more. The same thing would happen with this one.....languish in the back lot somewhere rotting away. This truck deserves much better than that. It would be a good project for Mike Chamberlin of Peterbilt Mike because he sincerely cares. Another absolutely perfect person to buy it, if he would, is Rich Deboss from Deboss Garage. He got one to more than beautiful show quality status in a relatively short time. Gorgeous truck!

That has to be one of the earliest "E"s that I've seen so far, you said it's an '84 but K-100 "E"'s came out in '85, but they didn't actually give a date to them until the truck was sold, so that's how you ended up with an '84 "E". Another thing is that white wheel, those usually only came on non Power Steering trucks and I've NEVER seen one on a later truck like an "E". Interesting for sure.

If you had waited just a few months I would of jumped on this, but as it is I'm just starting my trucking career and don't have the cash for it for now. It'll make someone happy I'm sure.

Welcome! I would like to inquire why you only buy standard cab tractors? Here in Europe, especially in the Eastern Bloc, we saw such beautiful big Kenworth tractors with high sleepers in pictures when we were young, we dreamed of them. These days, you hardly see Kenworth and Freightliner or Mack tractors with bulldog cabs, which have huge split colored glass roof windows. Are these old vehicles that are no longer in demand, or do they have many problems? I've been watching your videos for almost two years, and I'll probably learn the language slowly. Almost every Kenworth will ride better than a Freightliner. The nick name of Freightshaker was earned.

Freightshaker was a nickname for the cabovers with spring ride. There’s a reason why lots of restorations have freightliner cutoffs.

@@dagburn8692 The 84 I drove did. I pulled tankers with it. I had a choice, I could drive it or a long nose KW, drove the cabover most of the time. Had that wide cab on it and it would hold them tankers in line around curbs, even when they were top heavy. A 9670 would too. I had driven a truck for 20 years before I got an air ride.
