    Mine just came in yesterday and I was legit blown away with the quality and minimalistic design! I don’t find its matte screen matte enough actually. Ironically it’s kind of reflective.

      I actually prefer glossy so reading your comment, I’m considering this panel despite it being matte.

      @@bren.r yo I am pretty sure you will enjoy this panel man. This panel is 100% kind of glossy but not as much as those QD-OLED kind. IMO its the right amount.

    Thanks for the video! Mine comes in tomorrow. I'm really excited to play some single player 4k games and some multiplayer at either 1080 or 4k. I can't wait to try it out. This will be my first OLED experience.

    4k resolution input latency is 31 when you game from mouse system monitor at full hd only 19msec.. plus 480hz reduces even for 2 msec. Almost 17msec... gaming.. So if u play at 31 system lag
    u can not be better in fps games vs good players with low end monitor. And you use gamepad.. there is no difference from 120hz to 1000hz with gamepad... becasuse gamepad has no movement like mouse its old style gaming but top players in the word using mouse.

    To properly show how good a matte coating works, you need to shine the light on objects in front of the monitor instead of shining a light directly on it.
    it’s designed to distort reflections, not light.

    • @bren.r
      @bren.r 2 месяца назад

      What? 😂

    • @Skasua
      @Skasua 2 месяца назад

      @@bren.r With a glossy display so close to your face, you’ll see your face and everything behind you that has any light cast on it.
      A matte display blurs that reflection so it’s less distracting. You with me?
      So a better showcase it would be to film the reflections of the monitor with the room lit up behind it, and compare it to a glossy screen. Not a lamp shining directly at the screen, showing how blurry it makes the lamp. You understand now?

    • @FIREWOLFTECH
      @FIREWOLFTECH  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah but by shining a lamp directly at the screen, you can clearly see how the matte coating diffuses it. Between the glossy, semi-gloss, and this matte coating, there's a huge difference. Plus, I also show how light can affect the black levels of this monitor, for example, on QD-OLED, you can see purple tint.
      I also show different angles with sunlight hitting it as well

    Are you able to manually enable the 480 hz with a different resolution on nividia control panel or any other application? Or is it only a preset on the monitor stuck at 1080p?

  • @TheInfiniteDraw
    @TheInfiniteDraw 2 месяца назад

    Why would you play on Ultra Performance DLSS? The difference between it and Quality mode in Modern Warfare is barely any different in terms of FPS, but the visuals are dramatically worse. You can still achieve 200+ with the 4090 using Quality mode or worse case scenario in performance mode, which is still internal 1080p and scales to 4K quite nicely. Ultra performance is 720p internal resolution...

    • @FIREWOLFTECH
      @FIREWOLFTECH  2 месяца назад +1

      I only play on that mode for the purpose of achieving over 240+ so I can test out how smooth 240FPS runs. It’s not what I would normally play on, if anything I like DLAA with just Frame Generation.
      You’re right that it looks worse which is why even on 1080P mode, just to hit 480+ I had to go minimum + DLAA Ultra Performance 🤢

    I bought this monitor and love it. My only question is on the back of the monitor it looks like there’s two LED strips down the back (kind of transparent plastic). If so, how do you turn it on or control it?

    Full disclosure! These expensive monitors wont make you game better. They are marketed for those who like expensive hardware to boast about. The games we play are all old remastered games from 2 decades ago. 16 directional, robotic old remastered games with shiny new hardware. Can you afford a 4k pc and a 2k monitor to play games from 2004 and boast about FPS?

      Bro who hurt your feelings 😅 lol
      No one said these will make you game better, but it definitely would give you a competitive advantage over others who play on lower refresh rate and input TV/monitors.
      Expensive monitors aren’t just for people who like expensive hardware, but for those looking to have a better visual experience whether that’s gaming, movies, or productivity

    • @bobby4363
      @bobby4363 2 месяца назад

      @@FIREWOLFTECH My feelings? So you are a psychologist too? Where do i start Doc? Quit lying ...Bro, these monitors do very little for "competitive advantage" outside of more vibrant colors and of course FPS. The games themselves have not been optimized outside of visuals. Same robotic, restrictive movements that drives players to purchase aiming devices to correct their disadvantage, even when using these high end expensive monitors. Of course they are good movies, but so are high end TVs that cost as much.

    • @FIREWOLFTECH
      @FIREWOLFTECH  2 месяца назад +11

      Listen bro …
      If you think higher FPS, Refresh Rates, Lower Response Times, and Lower Input Lags don’t give you a competitive advantage then I hope you stick with a 60Hz refresh rate 720P monitor so you can boast how these “expensive” monitors are worthless.
      If sponsorship wasn’t a factor, You think in a competitive esports games they would allow someone to play with a 480Hz monitor vs everyone else using a 144Hz monitor ? They won’t, but if you ran the event you’d be like “iT DoeSnt MaTteR”
