2:59 is CRAZY and I know you were outta breath after 😂 I haven’t gamed on a TV in a very long time but after moving and finally settling in, I want to have something for company. I have an N64 and I picked up a Serif TV so all I’m missing is an RCA to HDMI thing to get started. Not in my 30s yet but I’m getting there. Happy to see you back and glad everything’s going alright man!!
C4 larger and has better hdr and I think the c4 has some kinda strobing tech. While the LG32 has better ppi, 480 hz mode and speakers There’s your comparison
Man, I´m watching this video so many times just to see how a 42 inch monitor looks like in a setup (I´m deciding between 32 and 42 inch monitor) and 2:59 always caught me off guard 😂
Hey man! I just got that TV super excited to open it up this Thursday with my PS5 pro! Love this video, man! 2 questions: One-How do you do the 4 split screen on the C4? Last-Those lights about the TV, where did you get those? Keep up with the good work and content, man! 🤘🏻🤙🏻
I love my LG C3 65 for couch gaming and now I‘m getting the LG C4 42 to replace my IPS dual monitor pc setup. I‘m a bit scared of the size but I suck at multiplayer shooters anyway :D
35 and going. Love my try-hard Zowie set up. I rather squint at the 24" than move my eyes all over a larger one. I tried and the C4 is glorious but too big for the games I enjoy: COD, Rocket League
Thanks for the great review, this will most likely be my next monitor. I was planning on going with a LG 38" 1600p ultrawide but LG/Dell seems to have discontinued their gaming models. Disappointed that manufacturers have been sticking with 1440p for 38"+ for recent releases, the ppi is terrible.
3 inches is a lot… right? 😂 Good video bro, I recently got rid of my lg c2 42 as a monitor for the fact that even though I loved it for console gaming and Netflix I felt it was still a little too close for when I played with mouse and keyboard. I’m 35 and just started gaming again after years. Some good anime’s to consider. Attack on titan And Jujutsu Kaisen The list can go on for days, but those are just two solid recommendations on my behalf. -Galileo
If you keep it as a longer term monitor, I find that the Sonos Beam Gen 2 is a perfect companion. Not QUITE as good as those kanto speakers you have, but its a perfect asthetic fit while still sounding pretty good.
Buying a used open box one for $850 right now. Excited. I am 32 and love high end gaming these days. Especially on pc. Console looks pretty good but 4k 30fps or upscaled 60 on a tv like that makes no sense. Used 3090s are cheap now. Can get you by if your gpu is old. For 4k 144hz.
I’ve got the C3 42” as my gaming PC monitor, and the quality is amazing. For the price, it’s unbeatable (I paid £850 for it 7 months ago here in the UK, and now it’s under £700 - almost half the price of 32” 4K OLEDs). But honestly, it’s still too big for a desk setup. It’s not comfortable, even though I only play single-player games and use a gamepad. If I could get a 32” 4K OLED for the same price, I’d 100% do that.
I’m glad you’ve said this, I can get a C4 now for just under £800 and went to see it in Curry’s. It’s hard to tell in a shop whether a screen is gonna be too big or small until it’s in your setup, but pound for pound it just makes no sense to pay over a grand for 10 less inches of screen with no tv features. But I live in a 1 bed flat so my 55” 2018 oled and work desk setup are in the same room, and it would be retarded having two screens that large. I can’t decide whether to upgrade my tv to 65” or just go for a 27-32 monitor to use for gaming and work.
@@lozzarini99 Yeah, I went to Currys to check it out before buying it too 😂, and you’re right-you don’t really get a full sense of it until it’s on your desk. It’s tricky. Some people like the size, but I’ve seen plenty on Reddit and eBay wanting to downsize-like me. For me, it’s just hard on the eyes. I game with a controller, so sitting further back helps, but with a keyboard and mouse, it would be even tougher. If your desk is at least 80 cm deep, it’s doable, but if you can, I’d recommend going for a 32” 16:9. That said, the C3 42 is a great deal right now, btw apparently there’s even an LG discount bringing it down to £650 this weekend!

As someone in their 30s who didn’t watch any anime after DBZ when I was younger, I completely agree with your One Punch Man take. I will say Demon Slayer is growing on me and Jujutsu Kaisen was wildly addicting to watch.
Just subbed. I enjoyed the info on this TV. I looked it up price is reasonable too. Great size and plenty of power. I'm cool with a tv an pc monitor in one.
great review man, have you figure dout in fancy zones, or anything to make the screen automatically 1080 p resolution or one 1440 without having to mess with all the rectangles, or just type it in , How did you get the 4 1080 ps' perfect it seems almost impossible in fancy zones. I love this setup btw I am with the c3 just love to see how people use the TV. thanks !
I own the C3, 144hz would be great but Nvidia "Fast Sync" with G-Sync running games at 240hz feels really good. The thing that's leaning me back to LCD is the fluidity in lower motion, if you play a PS5 game at 30fps is feels like the camera is pinging with every single pan. Is that better with the C4?
I have the 42 c2 and I think its better than a monitor, its big , its sharp it has everything a monitor has and TV and films also look stunning. Ahhh and it has EARC for my Sonos.
I love to suggest some animes lol, I'm not hardcore but these are some of my recent favorites. Nothing wrong with being old and nerdy lol 39 here and still enjoying games and anime when time allows :) Ninja Kamui Demon Slayer (bet on this one) That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime My Hero Academia (like the MCU but Japanese lol) Wind Breaker Kaiju No. 8 Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation That should hold you over for awhile haha. Enjoy!
I went Dell Alienware 32" AW3225QF 240Hz QD-OLED. I;m in love with it, but I did consider the C4 as an option. the ppi on 32" won me over. Would love to see you review the 39" LG OLED (39GS95QE-B).
One Piece will have a total Remake with WIT Studio (same studio that made the first 3 seasons of Attack on Titan) so, that’s my anime tip, i think it will be next year or so
If you use CRU on windows 11 you can force it to the peak brightness of your tv. I have a gs95qe and my windows pc was stuck at 600 nits. After I changed it using CRU i restarted now I have it set to 1000 nits
Arcane on Netflix is awesome...53yrs old gamer here...well, I say that but I get wiped by my 2 sons now...stick to single player games for my own sanity. We have 42c2 at home..work away from home and can't get one here...48c4 smallest i can get...trying to decide if that's too big...42" is perfect at home
When i was 9 years old, in 2016 my BFF had a ps4 I tried to convince my Dad to buy it but he won't listen. Now I'm 17 and I've never owned a game, though the ps4 had always been my dream to date; Sometimes dream of getting one but I turn out waking up in disgust😢.
I'm also planning on getting the LG C4 as my monitor, i'm just waiting for the 50 series to come out. I also play XDefiant, but i play that on PC. I was meaning to ask if you are playing in Max Settings and what's the avg FPS with 4090 in XD, but realized you play on PS.
Yo! I really REALLY dig it. I have the dual sense edge as well but I main the Phantom. I just dig the 4 rear buttons instead of just 1. Only downside (which I haven't yet experienced yet) is the sticks aren't modular. But they have a modular version coming soon I believe with replaceable sticks so they've told me Dope controller though. I have a review up on it. Really is sick
Awesome video! Just bought a C4 48, was looking for 42 but found a fantastic deal at costco for the 48" at $699 and couldn't help but pull the trigger. Now trying to adjust to the massive screen lol. What anime is the one @01:23? Thanks!
My LG C1 got burn in but had the costco warranty to cover burn in because I was worried about that (was very careful with it but still happened) they are going to replace it and I am thinking of the LG 32 inch OLED Gaming monitor that came out recently it's around the same price as the C1 was. I also found the 48 inch which was smallest at the time was a bit too big so I would have to look way in the corners for game chats/ui elements and stuff so I think 32 would be better. 42 would be an improvement but I feel 32 would be even better size wise.
Please Help Me: I just installed this exact TV and only actions I’ve done so far is plug HDMI from new Mini Mac Pro and paired my HK speakers via BT and also plugged in the 3.5 jack as backup. I get some LG prompts asking for a code so it will default to I put it something but I can’t find any code waiting on screen or on any device and I’m stuck on this screen. Far as sound, i am hearing a random tick from the speakers when things are not making sound like a paused video or just on Home Screen as if someone is tinking with a cable. Should I remove the 3.5 jack and rely on BT for my HK sound sticks or use the 3.5 and not BT for the best audio experience possible? Do I need to shut off the TV speakers maybe as that might conflict or will that help with more stereo like sound???
Sorry if I missed it, but how's response time or input lag whichever it is that you notice in fast paced games, valorant csgo, dota style? This TV should be fast enough for us 30s boys and older, eh?
Had to actually return my C4, the dimming in game mode is absurd, it's way too dark. Getting the Sony Bravia 8 to replace it that doesn't have that issue.
Extra brightness with bigger tv sounds nice but bigger it gets worse it looks when it comes to old movies or lower resolution sdr contents in my opinion specially if you on desk setup like yours.
Been a week of waiting... Got it on last Saturday... bought it as it has many good reviews! HOWEVER my unit won't turn on!... damn, LG Thailand 😭😭😔 tbh, LG... Please do better QC @ Indonesia Factory! Now I gotta wait for another 2 weeks for the replacement... 😔😔😔
It's crazy to me that you are ready to spend all this money on gaming but when it comes to buying a curtain or hanging a sheet over that tiny window directly behind your tv, that's "out of your control" 😂

Thing is with a PC 144htz at 4K RT on ultra with DLSSP/FG, you will be lucky if you get 120htz with a 4090. I would get a C3 for modern day gaming.
I love to suggest some animes lol, I'm not hardcore but these are some of my recent favorites. Nothing wrong with being old and nerdy lol 39 here and still enjoying games and anime when time allows :)
Ninja Kamui
Demon Slayer (bet on this one)
That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime
My Hero Academia (like the MCU but Japanese lol)
Wind Breaker
Kaiju No. 8
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
That should hold you over for awhile haha. Enjoy!
I went Dell Alienware 32" AW3225QF 240Hz QD-OLED. I;m in love with it, but I did consider the C4 as an option. the ppi on 32" won me over. Would love to see you review the 39" LG OLED (39GS95QE-B).
Using "clapping cheeks " more than once is diabolical
OI, HUEY
One Piece will have a total Remake with WIT Studio (same studio that made the first 3 seasons of Attack on Titan) so, that’s my anime tip, i think it will be next year or so
If you use CRU on windows 11 you can force it to the peak brightness of your tv. I have a gs95qe and my windows pc was stuck at 600 nits. After I changed it using CRU i restarted now I have it set to 1000 nits
i just got that same Swellers record. Lets go!
I just recently got into anime and my friends got me into Demon Slayer. Pretty dope show. Great review btw
Thanks homie! Demon slayer was dropped a lot in the comments, appreciate it
How are you doing 4 displays or just opening 4 different browsers etc and sizing them? How did you auto size those aka cascade them?
Yo Minimals how do you find the hex phantom controller?! And compared to an edge what is the biggest difference?? Looks good in black 😏
Yo! I really REALLY dig it. I have the dual sense edge as well but I main the Phantom. I just dig the 4 rear buttons instead of just 1. Only downside (which I haven't yet experienced yet) is the sticks aren't modular. But they have a modular version coming soon I believe with replaceable sticks so they've told me
Dope controller though. I have a review up on it. Really is sick
@@MinimalisTech Mean. Mines on order from the kickstarter. Keen to snack on kids egos in xdefiant 😤😤
Awesome video! Just bought a C4 48, was looking for 42 but found a fantastic deal at costco for the 48" at $699 and couldn't help but pull the trigger. Now trying to adjust to the massive screen lol. What anime is the one @01:23? Thanks!
This is Suzume. A makoto shinkai masterpiece!
I wish LG did the C series in 27" and 32". 39 year old gamer.
Excelente video me acabo de hacer de una LG C4 de 42 en 640 dólares, laudaré con mi Mac mini y mi steam deck
I was supposed to quit gaming in my 30s?
The PlayStation itself is turning 30 this year!
Please Help Me:
I just installed this exact TV and only actions I’ve done so far is plug HDMI from new Mini Mac Pro and paired my HK speakers via BT and also plugged in the 3.5 jack as backup.
If you are old AF in your ealry 30s I type this from my coffin, 6 feet under, in my 51 years of age.
Sorry if I missed it, but how's response time or input lag whichever it is that you notice in fast paced games, valorant csgo, dota style? This TV should be fast enough for us 30s boys and older, eh?
Haha. Yeah it’s definitely quick. 9.2ms response time is hella quick.
Monitors are quicker but I can’t say majorly noticeable at all
I have both a 65C1 and a 48C2. I really need an excuse to upgrade to a 77inch for my living room, but don’t want to spend the money. Lol
Had to actually return my C4, the dimming in game mode is absurd, it's way too dark. Getting the Sony Bravia 8 to replace it that doesn't have that issue.
Get a service remote and disable the dimming like with the older ones.
@@jeradfry345 Voids best buy warranty, not doing it.
Extra brightness with bigger tv sounds nice but bigger it gets worse it looks when it comes to old movies or lower resolution sdr contents in my opinion specially if you on desk setup like yours.
Neckbeard 😂
One thousand like👍🏻
Been a week of waiting... Got it on last Saturday... bought it as it has many good reviews!
HOWEVER my unit won't turn on!... damn, LG Thailand 😭😭😔
tbh, LG... Please do better QC @ Indonesia Factory! Now I gotta wait for another 2 weeks for the replacement... 😔😔😔
Is is the good distance from your eyes to the tv?
I paused the video just to give u a thumbs down as soon as u said another anime was better than Dragon Ball Z then i went back to finish the video 😎
Do you think 48inch is too big for your setup?
Im even older, gaming on my 65" Samsung S95D QD-OLED 😮
Hi was wondering if the LG C4 is as eye friendly as the LG C3? I get eye strain it’s really annoying
Do you notice the louder fan noise on your slim model or you just ignore it? It is noticeably louder than the bigger models right?
The ps5 slim is more noticeable for fan noise if that’s what you’re referring to. I mostly tune it out now tho!
The OG Naruto is on Netflix I enjoy it even though its an insane amount of seasons 😅
It's crazy to me that you are ready to spend all this money on gaming but when it comes to buying a curtain or hanging a sheet over that tiny window directly behind your tv, that's "out of your control" 😂
You need to watch Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust for your anime recommendations.
