Day 1 of what I hope to be an epic 5 day trip driving my Ferrari 360 to Italy and back. The first day is mainly motorway miles but it is so good to be spending time in the 360.

What ever you think about the car guys (I'm sure a lot of you do like it) this shows sam is being sam, not just every other average click baiting car vlogger, he hasn't bought the latest super car to get the most views he's bought the car that means the most to him and what he loves the most, respect sam "WHO OWNS A FERRARI"
Not sure about that reasoning, it's one of the "cheapest" Ferraris out there, just the name Ferrari in your title brings a lot of views. For that price you could buy a nice RS6/M5/E63 which are fantastic cars but are not considered that special. Whatever, as long as he's enjoying his car I'm happy for him.
Simon Valley "not special" that's why he didn't buy them, the Ferrari will not be his daily driver, it's a weekend car. Moving from 540C to those would be an overall downgrade with no upside.

Agree, I'm more excited to see his experience with this car than both his 540C and F-type somewhat. It's older and an Icon of my generation. It will break, but face it, when that happens it's more entertainment for us ;)

Jordi Andreu yeah, but I've learn to not expect super reliability on an Italian car of some age, not that I'm complaining just part of the experience of owning them. On 360 Modena in particular, a lot of evidence suggest that something will break at some point whether it's something critical and hard/ easy to fix is the question :)

I had one of those Bluetooth connectors in my car, they're really good, just don't leave it in your cigarette lighter to ensure you don't drain the battery when the car isn't on.
I saw the title and shouted "Wahoo!" No better "living the supercar dream" than taking your Ferrari to Italy...good on you, Sam. You're number one among your RUclipsr peers.
Sam, don't worry or stress on this Italian trip. The 360 Modena proves to be solid like a rock.
You will not run into any problems when the car is maintained by the book/schedual (as this 360 is).
Even older models 308/328,Mondial (=over 30y old) can do a trip like this, I did it over 7 times in the last decade. Never ever any issues. It is (pre)maintenance what makes or breakes a Ferrari.
Buying one is the easy part, finding the right one a bit harder but maintain it is the hardest.
When you/the 360 needs a maintenance go for the specialists (not the cheap mechanic around the corner). You pay a bit more but when you trade the 360 in it will come back to you $$$$. Hell, when the market is kind to you you can even make a (small) profit, pending on milage and condition of the car and if maintenance is preformed as it should be...
I moved up from 328GTS to F430, go every year to Italy/Como- Villa 'd Este/Erbe to enjoy this great brand and all the cars there. Enjoy this trip, scenery and food. Also enjoy the crazy Italians who goes Banana's seeing/hearing a Ferrari. You must do/follow the Mille Miglia once in a Ferrari. You will be blown away what this car can do and how easy is is to drive at (higher) speeds.
Ps park anywhere you like, the cavalino is your national parking permit. You will not get a fine anywhere. More likely thumbs up also from Police. They like to hear the V8 scream down the autostrada...

Get BespokeOEM to make you a new steering wheel along with the hub! They would use an OEM Ferrari 360 steering wheel and then put carbon or alcantara where you want it!

When you change to the Challenge Stradale wheels, go for wider tyres too! Current ones are too narrow and don't look good, as they're too tucked in the wheel arches, then need to stick out more!

The Becker Mexico unit has SatNav and looks exactly like your current unit. Actually this might be a Becker unit anyway but the newer versions have SatNav and great sound etc etc

Sorry...confused as to why the size of the tank is relevant to your mpg calculations? It was full when you started...you got 42.54 litres into in, so that's what you used and that's 21mpg...

I have a FM transmitter in my 458 to, you have to buy a 488 to get the Bluetooth audio!! It´s only the phone that is connected to bluetooth in the 458. So you have to wait until you but a 488 until you can throw your transmitter away :)
