Horrible use of stats. One of the most useful goalkeeping statistics is post shot xG prevented. Looking at the team, outcome-based stats like clean sheets is very shallow. Ederson - distribution yes but Allison shot stopping is well clear.

Only player I really wish was there is Foden but don’t see much space for him.
On current form one of the best on and off the ball who flies under the radar has to be gundogan, he has such a reliability in and out. Saying that wouldn’t put him in ahead of KDB or Bernardo. He’s not defensive enough to replace Fabinho on the other hand.

Ederson is good goalkeeper not a world-class one. His good with his feet, and has a world-class defense in front of him. There's a reason why one is number one in the national team, and the other is second choice
For me when people talk about it, I always feel like the key difference between the two is a fear factor. When players are 1v1 through on goal against Ederson I'm very calm thinking: Ahh more than likely it's a goal unless they miss the target. With Allison he has that old Schmeichel/Seaman/Cech mentality of: Yeah you're past the defence but you still got to beat Allison and that's a task.
On that logic how can they pick trent over walker then

@William James Sidis Liverpool all play comes from the wings. So robo and TAA are very vital for only one style of play. I want a superior player in the team who will give 8/10 performance for me in any given system. I want RB who is good in all aspects of his game and not just running in channels and crossing the ball. Also Liverpool overload the box with 3 players every time. To play for man city is more challenging that playing for Liverpool. Every team defend deeper against man city. I'll choose versatile player with multiple techniques than unidirectional player anyday. Hence Joao over Robo.

Admittedly am a Liverpool fan but KDB and Mahrez are out of this world for me, Bernado Silva is always dangerous, whereas Thiago has really been on average profoundly underwhelming. Walker has to be in there just to shore up the defence because Trent despite his attacking prowess leaves a big gap down that side. Plus with KDB around I don't think we would be short of vision and great long balls. Luis Diaz and Mahrez in the same team with Salah in the middle would be insane. Good argument for playing Salah out of position is that basically every defender in the world has figured out how to defend his left foot and by putting him down the middle it gives him a different chance to find space, dragging defenders out to the right but still having space to cut onto the left and shoot from a more central position.
Jota has to be there no doubt, the man is unbelievable in air and his footballing IQ is one amongst the best. Also when we are talking about chemistry and the combined players, jota in the box with kdb taa cancelo bernardo feeding him long balls, goals are guaranteed. Salah jota and foden/diaz should be front 3. Matip>stones too for sure

Why is the Liverpool fan the only one giving Laporte credit. Stones has been in and out of the team has picked up a little knock recently but was benched for a good portion of the season cause Laporte is playing very well.
