Chopping Samples for House Music // How I Sequence Sample Chops

  • When making House beats, my mindset slightly changes when it comes to how I chop and sequence samples. In this video I am going through how I chop samples for House, and showing a few things to keep in mind while coming up with patterns. This workflow and mindset does also translate well in making other types of beats as well.
For this beat I used the MPC ONE as the standalone tool to flip the samples, record drums, and sequence the bassline.
I hope you enjoy this workflow and the House sample based beat, and I hope the video provides some inspiration for your own production. I will be in the comments, so let me know if you want to see more videos like this one!

There came a time where I felt like I’ve seen all the music production videos on RUclips. But occasionally I find something that blows my mind and drastically alters a part of my music production. This was that. Thank you sir. Keep doing your thing. 👍🏽
