- Here's a great recording of Jaco Pastorius, Bireli Lagrene(guitar) and Serge Bringolf(drums) performing Henry Mancini's "The Days Of Wine And Roses" at the Pistoia auditorium in Pistoia, Italy on December the 8th in 1986. Jaco leaves most of the spotlight to Bireli but takes a short and concise solo towards the end.

It was a wonderful concert. I was in the front row with my friends, I was 19 years old. Even today, when I think about it, I feel shivers. Thanks for posting this gem. God bless you.
You're welcome Massimiliano. And thanks for sharing that info :) I was only a few months old when this concert took place. Thanks for your comment. Greetings from Norway
I've always loved Jaco Bireli together.
Jaco is a legend! Can’t believe he would be 72.
Yes, I often think about what he could have accomplished if he hadn't had the deadly altercation with that piece of shit bouncer and accepted proper help for his mental health issues/substance abuse. Luckily we can enjoy all the music he left behind while he was still on the planet. Thanks for commenting.
Awesome as always!!! Thank u for the bonus!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Ted. Thanks for commenting. Happy holidays :)

You're welcome. Thanks for commenting.
This is great quality for a recording of that trio, is this newly found?
Thanks for commenting. I've had the recording for about 7 years but it has probably circulated in trading communities for a much longer time. Greetings from Norway
@@musicuniverse1986 Fair enough, I usually just find them on youtube so it's nice to see one I haven't heard show up!
@@samhardingham5591You would be surprised by the amount of bootlegs not on RUclips. This one must have started circulating sometime in the '90s, possibly even late '80s.
@@JacoPastoriusArchive Oh yeah I'm sure, just never knew where to look. It's also quite fun to slowly discover new ones in my recommended feed
I was thinking of uploading this rendition as well, but it looks like you were faster. Luckily the tape is full of great renditions to choose from.
Yes, great concert for sure. You did a great job with polishing the section of it that was filmed. Looking forward to your next post tomorrow. Have a nice evening brother.
@@musicuniverse1986 Thanks, hope you have a nice evening too!
