Sorry, but this is no help for a beginner...do I have to start with a regular stockinette cast on then start the rib, and how do you start the next row of the rib, when you knit over the first row, do you start again
Hello Jo, Sorry that it is not clear. The next row, you work the first round in rib, meaning wrap the first peg (arrow peg)on outside of loom, the wrap the 3rd peg on the inside of loom. Also note, you could start from the beginning of your cast on with rib, We used a stockinette for the first round, just to make the bind off easier.
