Thank you for this comprehensive video. You answered many of my unasked questions. These basic tutorials are very helpful to those of us who can follow a pattern but need to learn basics. Keep ém coming!
Thank you for posting this video. I just purchased a handmade Amish knitting board from a friend at work. I did receive a lesson from her and your video is a great more in depth reference. One thing that I already noticed is that this method is not as forgiving for slipped stitches! However it is much gentler on the knuckles. Thank you again. 🤓🤩
Thank you very much. I just started looming 2 months ago and have been searching for different stitches to use on my long rectangular loom. This was perfect!!!! 😊
On the zigzag stitch all the way on the right on bottom how big of a blanket can you get if you use all the pegs on that loom do you think? Approximately
I'm using a Martha Stewart loom with small pegs at ⅜ inch. The distance across the loom is 1½ inches. I am using Red Heart 4 gauge yarn. My problem is that when I do a basic figure 8 stitch, the stitches are huge and loose and I really don't see nice ridges at all. I recently made an infinity scarf using this loom, but with the pegs at ¾ inch and using Premier Puzzle yarn. Although the scarf is soft and beautiful, it is also very loose without any tight definition. Is the problem the distance across the loom?
I don’t remember the MS loom being able to double knit. The distance is likely too great. You’d have to use a super bulky or even a jumbo yarn is my guess. It would be much better to get a double knit loom like from KBLooms, CinDwood looms or a Kiss Loom
Sorry to bother you again but after my blankwt i want use the rotating for the stockinette stitch a baby hat. . f y i Have all of kb looms +kk and kq. The hat above cant find pattern would you do a video please. Its the stockinette that skips every other peg then turns around and picks up the empty pegs. Some day i would love to do what your doing. All i need is a cammera stand that goes behind me. God bless you
Yes. This video actually shows the wrapping pattern in both directions. it is from minute 11:04 - 13:23 Here is the link to jump right to it. ruclips.net/video/aUnrXbBk1no/видео.html. I suggest watching just that part first and then click the link to jump to it again but watch on slow to practice the wrapping pattern. You just cast on, lay in your anchor yarn, and work this same stitch over an over. i have other videos for cast on and bind off.
GoodKnitKisses Thank you so much! So if I am understanding correctly to cast on I place my slip knot on the top left peg, come straight down and wrap the bottom peg from right side to left. After I wrap each peg once I lay my anchor yarn. The thing that is confusing me is the slip stitch. After I have the anchor yarn and start back across the loom I slip the stitch on the bottom right, is that right? So when I knit from the left to the right I will slip the stitch on the top left. When I knit from the right to the left I will slip the stitch on the bottom right. Is that correct? If so can I bind off and do the edges like you did in the video for the stockinette stitch throw with homespun yarn? Thank you again for your help.

GoodKnitKisses thank so very much for your quick reply. My biggest hang up to date are on the zigzag stitches. I'd like to do it on the Afghan loom. But I watch all of your videos usually more than once. Again thank you for all your teaching and the love you show to us newbies. I'm 75 and am blessed to have stumbled on looming.
It creates a more even tension and is recommended by the loom manufacturer. They also wrote the pattern. I have found overall this advice really does help produce a more even knit.
could you show me how to do the classic stockinette stitch with the afghan loom because you have to skip some pegs and i get confused on the ones you go through first time then you go through second time
Christy Hansen that is the one on the far left. However you may be referring to the ribbed stitch. It starts at the upper left and skips peg 1 and 2. Then goes up to 3 on the upper. After that you are skipping every other peg. On the way back you pick up the ones missed. I’ll go find a video to reference. I should have it but it may be on a different loom
Use this video and jump to minute 2:36. I start the slip knot on the lower left of the board but you can also start it on the upper board as I stated in the reply before. Hope this helps! ☺️ ruclips.net/video/OHJsSrqYM8c/видео.html
Tiera Persing I’m making comparisons to multiples at a time. The point was to compare them all. If you’d like to see features laid out individually please click the blog link in the description where we’ve made an easy list.
Hi, I love this video. I was wondering if you could do a video that shows double knitting on a loom with colour changing. I have seen a design on www.niftyknitterdesigns.com that needs this style of knitting but, I am not 100% the best wat to go about it.
You should think to translate this videos in spanish only! you would have so much audience, sadly still there are a lot of people who doesn't speak english
Thank you so much for doing these together as a comparison ❤❤❤ saved me a ton of time!!!🎉
This deserves way more views and likes👀

Thank you so much for this tutorial. As always, you explain things so clearly and I love that you have samples to show what the stitches look like.

Do you have a video showing how to do the stockinette figure 8 twisted brioche pattern? I want to use it for a baby blanket. Thank you.

@GoodKnitKisses Thankyou!
Why do we need to knit to the center, then go to the other end and knit to the center? I've always done the whole row left to right or right to left.
It can help with tension issues.
Please please please do an A to Z tutorial of the crisscross stitch. 😘
how can you make the first roll not loose
Great explanation. thank you!

Has anyone figured out a pattern for a Totoro hat on the looms?
This is a perfect way if showing stitches
Alice G Thank you!
Love the zig zag stitch....
