This song was written by Stevie Nicks about Linsey Buckingham when they broke up in 1977. You named it perfectly it definitely touches the soul. Thank you
I will never not listen to this! I'm only in my 30s but I grew up listening to them thanks to my stepdad. I just adore them, specially Stevie and Lindsay ❤❤
Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks are pure 🔥 and I've been listening to them since I was too young to understand their greatness. As a teenager in the late 80s, I realized and the rest is history. ❤❤❤❤
Check out their tv performance on The Midnight Special, the song called Rhiannon. You will be blown away. That look, she is giving him is because they used to be a couple. An on again/off again couple the band broke up a few times because of all the inner relationships within it’s members. She is singing that song right from her heart. The side eye glances, combined with the intensity of her emotions……just WOW!
Stevie and Lindsey were a couple before they joined Fleetwood Mac. At the time they wrote Rumors everyone was breaking up, Stevie and Lindsey and Christine and John McVie. "Go Your Own Way" was the breakup song Lindsey wrote for the album and Stevie's was "Silver Springs" but hers didn't make it on the album. For decades she sat on her frustration and when they decided to perform it, she released it. Every pent up feeling from that time, she gave it to him.
I've probably listened to and watched this performance hundreds of times since it was recorded in 1997. I saw them play at Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving night that year, just a few months after this was taped. It was an amazing concert in NYC that night. The place was packed and the band was stoked.
Yes they had been together and I’m pretty sure she wrote this after their breakup. She was singing to his soul staring him down the entire time and yes he didn’t back down from the eye lock! Gave me the chills
They have MAJOR history, especially with this song. The whole band has history and it was like a soap opera. You should google the Fleetwood Mac saga because it's too much to type, lol. And react to more Fleetwood Mac. Rhiannon live from Midnight Special is a good place to start. And Stevie has a solo career. She's still performing at 76 or 77 yrs old. Edge of Seventeen live by her is unbelievable and so so good. Anything by Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks will impress you. Stevie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Once with Fleetwood and once on her own. She's a rock goddess!
👍 Stevie Nicks 👍. You should listen to a lot of Stevie Nicks , only female inducted twice into the Rock and Roll hall of fame , with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career. She one of the best😊 singer songwriters. Wait until you hear Landslide !
I watch every reactor that reacts to this song. lol Love Fleetwood Mac to his day. I'll also watch every reactor that reacts to Taylor Swifts My Tear Richochet the long pond version. Fabulous. Great reaction. You didn't disappoint at the end of it. 🔥🔥🔥
Man Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest Bands ever. You need to check everything about them. Check out THE CHAIN, GYPSY, RHIANNON, DREAMS, GO YOUR OWN WAY, GOLD DUST WOMAN, BIG LOVE, LANDSLIDE. Also, her name is Stevie Nicks and she has a fantastic solo career. Check her music out also, EDGE OF SEVENTEEN, STAND BACK, STOP DRAGGING MY HEART AROUND, LEATHER AND LACE, I CANT WAIT, HAS ANYONE EVER WRITTEN ANYTHING FOR YOU, LOVE IS and many more.
I've seen them seven times over the years. Thet were my first concert at age 12. My takeaway from it is, they are all so talented. Every one of them. Of course, we lost Kristen McVie, the keys. ❤❤✌️ Check out The Chain.
Hi, yes, Stevie and Lynsay were in a relationship she wrote this song about him. Great reaction and paying attention to everything. Jesus is King forever.❤
Welcome to the vortex that is Fleetwood Mac. So many break ups and infidelities, and yet, an intense loyalty to the band. That drummer was Mick Fleetwood. Probably the most underrated drummer in the twentieth century, despite being one of the best. But that was par for Fleetwood Mac. Lindsay Buckingham, the guitarist, was also among the best in the business. Then, there's Christine Mc Vie. An instinctly brilliant pianist. I don't know why, but as a band, they are praised. But when it comes to their individual genius, they were never taken seriously.😮😢
Stevie Nick and Lindsey Buckingham used to be a couple they joined the group together but broke up he wrote go your own way towards her and this is her response song to his

@@LesDoesitAll-l8b - Just wanted to say a big thanks for doing that. I don't expect any others as I know you have a ton of subscribers, but thought I'd mention one other thing: I made it to the end of the Pink Floyd video and saw you're religious. The other song I mentioned above "Bartender" has God as the Bartender and Dave is talking to him. Lots of deep religious themes throughout it. I threw that one in because it's just Dave and his guitarist Tim by themselves and you can really "feel" the intense passion Dave sings with. Dave donates a small fortune to charity and is about the least pretentious rock star there is. His lyrics are super deep in a lot of his songs. His band is super diverse with their instruments and are incredible musicians. You can pull up any live performance by the FULL Dave Matthews Band and you will never, ever be disappointed. They'll be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. I used to work at a big concert venue in the Bay Area and seen probably a thousand concerts and no one brought the passion like Dave did every single night. If he ever tours in your area, hit it up, you won't regret it and you'll go each subsequent year... it's an experience. ;) Most concert tickets sold in the last 40 years: #1: U2 = 26M+ #2: Dave Matthews Band = 23M+ #3: Rolling Stones = 22M+ #4: Bruce Springsteen = 20M+ #5: Elton John = 19M+ "Ants Marching" by the full Dave Matthews Band is one of the more popular favorites, but hard to go wrong with any of them. ---- Other incredible songs: ---- > Bee Gees doing "Too Much Heaven" will blow your mind and get you a bunch more subscribers.
