5:20 Lindsay Buckingham plays mostly custom-built guitars from a luthier named Rick Turner. He's playing a Rick Turner Model 1 here. It's his signature instrument.
One of the funniest things I've seen posted is that Taylor Swift writes and sings songs about her exes - Stevie Nicks writes and sings songs about her exes and makes them sing them with her!! 🤣🤣🤣
Except her ex - Lindsey Buckingham - composed music parts for, arranged and produced the song (as he did all her songs with FM and before when they were BN). Also the Producer and Music Director 20 years later for The Dance.
I think this performance is a master-class in an artist channelling the energy of a live show to give more to the audience. Of course they would have done weeks of rehearsals for this production so it's not the first time they have sung this, but Stevie delivers a powerhouse performance, baring her soul for her art. Beautiful.
The producer remarked that he had heard the song several times in rehearsals and that it was "just okay." The concert was taped over three nights in Burbank at Warner Brothers Studios. He said no one was prepared for the third night, because Stevie Nicks took this song to a new place. She said that she decided that if this was the last thing Fleetwood Mac ever did, she wanted it to be something people remembered. Her performance on this song and "Landslide" (from the same night) are both iconic.
This was 1997 and magical. Fleetwood Mac had been out of the limelight for a while, their last effort in the later 80s did glean 1 or 2 hits, but their power had diminished since the 70s. This MTV special was incredible. I fell in love with Stevie Nicks when I was 7 years old in 1977, and her voice still melts me like a little boy. Linsay's guitar is a custom made "Rick Turner" (guitar luthier) acoustic/electric guitar. It is no different than most guitars, just had a trademark design.
"Silver Springs" was recorded as a track for the "Rumours" album but it failed to make the cut due to the time constraints of an LP . It was a "B" side for the single "Go Your Own Way" but that studio version pales to this Live version .
I've seen Stevie nicks perform live four different occasions. Twice was Tom Petty, once solo and once with Fleetwood Mac. Each performance was spectacular
Silver Springs was recorded during the Rumours sessions when all those personal songs were made. It didn't make the album but came out later as a single.
During the recording of the Rumors album Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham (guitar) were breaking up. Simultaneously Christy McVie (piano) and John McVie (bass) were going through a divorce from each other. Meanwhile Mick Fleetwood (drums) and his wife (not in band) were also divorcing. Years later Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks would have an affair. Yet they reunited as a band for this concert called the Dance. Great concert BTW ✌️
So much love mixed with so much pain just exploded. They loved each other so much yet hurt each other so badly. They go from loving to hating to loving to hate to ok but then I hate you again and it will be that way until one of them dies. There's another live performance video where she can't finish the song and starts crying so he tries to but starts crying and the audience had to finish the song. Music from the 70's, where emotions were raw and the music was more important than anything else. Don't see that now.
I mean Stevie broke his heart too hence the songs he wrote for her. They were both as toxic as each other which in a weird way made them perfect for each other.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Mac. Keep-a-rockin', Inna. Crazy about your super sexy accent. Big shoutout from your guy the States. See you on the next. Much peace and love to you and yours. Go with God. Later, little darlin".
All choreographed! They broke up years earlier. She broke up with him, had an affair with the drummer (Rumors Album shows them two on the cover) and he dumped Stevie for one of her friends!
@ and the woman playing the piano, Christine McVie was married to the bass player John McVie and they got divorced around the same time and she had an affair with the band’s lighting director.
Even for copyrighted material there's no reason to blur a video this much all you have to do is stop the video a couple times and you're good to go. You can always tell the ones that are in it strictly for the money
Actually Stevie had the chance with Don Henley but chose to terminate because she couldn't see having children and that kind of career and chose her career. She's said it herself. It's Lindsey who said she was angry because he had the wife and children and she ended up alone. It was just another instance of him trying to hurt her in his interviews. This is the epitome of love hate relationship.
Okay, you can absolutely post content in response to a video as commentary. I really loved your reaction, but I hate this trend of blurring very important parts that you are reacting to. I get it if it’s just a build up, but not when you are actually reacting to her visible emotions.
This is a performance by actors. They know exactly what the fans want to see and they give it to them. The only guys in that audience are the ones that are there with their wives or girlfriends. Single women don't go to see Metallica and single guys don't go to see Fleetwood Mac. They know exactly who the audience is and that is the women. And the women want to see this. And the actors know it and so they do it in their performance. These emotions might have been real back in the 70s but they are not real on the stage during this performance. Just a couple of actors that know how to get a bunch of women to pay $800 per seat.
“You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you” is one of the hardest goddamned bars ever written.

Taylor Swift who?
He made her sing with him on “Go Your Own Way” - a song aimed at her

One of the most rawest live song so much. The emotions are huge in this songs.

The worse thing is that Lindsay's "Go Your Own Way" made front side of Rumors.
Lindsey will never forget that scolding he got on stage....

Listen to Go Your Own Way for a song about them from Lindsey's point of view. He wrote the lyrics she sings in that one.

Only Stevie can make the bastard who broke her heart sing to her about it. Actually, their love wasn't over.
Afraid you got it twisted, it was actually stevie that screwed it up
I mean Stevie broke his heart too hence the songs he wrote for her. They were both as toxic as each other which in a weird way made them perfect for each other.
This is why we love Stevie! 😽🎶
great video
I think this song was supposed to be on the Rumors album, but there wasn’t enough room for it
Bella..bellissima band
Not as good as the original Fleetwood Mac
It's a performance for effect.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Mac. Keep-a-rockin', Inna. Crazy about your super sexy accent. Big shoutout from your guy the States. See you on the next. Much peace and love to you and yours. Go with God. Later, little darlin".

That’s wild!!

great review as usual, i recomend Taras Stanin song ROYAL, beatbox like you've never heard before
Carolina Chocolate Drops
Do great beatbox music to.
It’s so unique and really grabs you.
Try the song Hit em up Style
It's Inna from the past
Hehe
The studio version pales in comparison to the live version. The live version is actually a better recording and performance in every way.

If only you listened to the original Fleetwood Mac, a great British blues band, fronted by the late, great Peter Green......
If looks could kill 😂
They don’t write songs these anymore.
ANOTHER DRAMA, THE MARIAS, NO ONE NOTICED.
ANOTHER DRAMA, TORMENTO, MON LAFERTE, VIVO.
#FtheCopyright
The only Regret Stevie Nicks has she didn't take time out to have children.😢

Yikes! Guys? Bye Guys

I agree with you, but the original without the blurring got removed :(
