Okay so I played Hypnospace Outlaw a while back and it is literally one of the most memorable games I have ever played. I never got to experience the feeling of browsing the internet back in the era that this game is mimicking, but it feels like a nice little trip down a nonexistent memory lane. And you get so attached to all of the characters along the way when you get to see each of their unique personalities and how they interact with each other on the same platform you’re using! All in all, this game really surprised me and managed to greatly subvert my expectations! Oh and the MUSIC OH THE MUSIC. It’s so frickin good like man... but anyways I couldn’t recommend it more! sorry for the paragraph I’m just really passionate about this game
LOVED A Short Hike and was so glad it made the cut. Literally the calmest I've ever been playing a game. Truly felt like just enjoying the world around me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I agree so much with this sentiment!! I’ve actually recently found another game similar to A Short Hike called Lil Gator Game that I highly recommend! It has no fighting system, a fun little story, cute character interactions, and really nice controls like A Short Hike, but with higher resolution, a bigger world, and a bigger roster of unique characters. A Short Hike is genuinely one of my favorite games but I’ve gotta say, Lil Gator Game might’ve dethroned it as my favorite
At 4:29 when you said the best character is Bob, the song "Happiest Girl" (a love song) played over your voice lol. Also great vid i really like the transitions and the comedic lines and stuff, happy to find your channel, new subscriber for sure! God bless man.
I've played pikuniku, a short hike, superliminal and hypnospace outlaw, I can confirm they're all amazing underrated Indies that im begging to be recognised more
@@williamsmith6921 yeah ive heard of most of them, i played through PikuNiku, A Short Hike, and Superliminal, none of these games are super well hidden or anything, theyre fairly well known.
Question: Is it-like- difficult? I know that's an open-ended question, but I want to get the game and am a bit worried about not knowing where to go and things like that.
I’d also recommend “Omori”. It’s a psychological horror game that looks phenomenal. The art style is great and it gives a vibe similar to earthbound. It seems very story oriented with an interesting mystery around your character, what he’s been through, and the world he’s in. It’s also got this cool combat system where you change the emotions of teammates and enemies to impact stats and the effects of certain skills.
A short hike was so good!! It had animal crossing vibes. I can only describe it as playing a summer game while curled up in a blanket on a cozy fall evening. MMM IT'S SO GOOD

A Short Hike was pretty cool, and the development story by Adam Robinson-Yu was even cooler. If you're looking for another cool indie game to play when you have some time out to spare, consider checking out Rain World. Really great pixel art and thought provoking narrative and a really unexpected world building. It is a somewhat "bad reputation" for being a bit harder then most 2d platformers but it's really worth the time investment! Really unique experience... Hope to have struck your curiosity! :)

A short hike is literally the chillest play thru ive ever done
That "The Kife" guy is looking awfully a lot like a certain Mad Dog.
He seems cool.
Goddamnit
@@enricopucci6226 are these gmaes only on pc?
yeah
Some really kiryu chan hours

I strongly recommend Spiritfarer
its such a peaceful and emotional game where you connect with other characters in such a wholesome way.
And it will make you cry 😢
YES that game is top of my recommendation list
I have this and i 100% agree with you.
That game literally inspired me to get a cat
it is !!! absolutely stunning !!!!!! story and visually wise
At 4:29 when you said the best character is Bob, the song "Happiest Girl" (a love song) played over your voice lol. Also great vid i really like the transitions and the comedic lines and stuff, happy to find your channel, new subscriber for sure! God bless man.
"this is filler"
Well, it's awesome. I'll always be up for more cardboard vids like this one.
I've played Later Alligator and Hypnospace Outlaw, and they are easily some of my favorite games that I've played.
Because of THIS video, i have played PIKUNIKU and i liked the game a lot! (•‿•)
I've played pikuniku, a short hike, superliminal and hypnospace outlaw, I can confirm they're all amazing underrated Indies that im begging to be recognised more
I recommend Dadish, it’s about a radish who’s a dad and you go from level to level rescuing and retrieving your radish children, it’s super cute
"You statistically probably haven't played these-"
*includes Superliminal*
yeah I have played or at least heard of all of these
@@williamsmith6921 yeah ive heard of most of them, i played through PikuNiku, A Short Hike, and Superliminal, none of these games are super well hidden or anything, theyre fairly well known.
Well there are more people who havent played it than people who did
@@itsuno You are so cool
@@reiniermels9288 you could say that for almost every video game in existence

Question: Is it-like- difficult? I know that's an open-ended question, but I want to get the game and am a bit worried about not knowing where to go and things like that.

I’d also recommend “Omori”. It’s a psychological horror game that looks phenomenal. The art style is great and it gives a vibe similar to earthbound. It seems very story oriented with an interesting mystery around your character, what he’s been through, and the world he’s in. It’s also got this cool combat system where you change the emotions of teammates and enemies to impact stats and the effects of certain skills.
Woah there buddy, all they need to know is that its a cute adorable game with nothing wrong
Yes! YES! Please play Omori! All I will say about it is, if you like surreal RPGs, your gonna like this one.
Omori is good.
There it is
I would love to hear Noodles opinion on Omori
Sometimes I wish Hypnospace Outlaw was an actual browser. That game had so much aesthetic and charm to it!
YESSSSSSS. I would pay buku bucks for a HSO style firefox overhaul
A short hike was so good!! It had animal crossing vibes. I can only describe it as playing a summer game while curled up in a blanket on a cozy fall evening. MMM IT'S SO GOOD
I’ve played pikuniku and superliminal, and let me tell you, they both are some of my most favorite games of all time. I constantly come back to them to play them again, and I just honestly love them sm. They have a special place in my heart :]
Edit: I’ve also recently started playing a short hike and Hypnospace outlaw (because their both on Xbox gamepass) and both are really good :DD I also got stuck on a few things in Hypnospace outlaw tho lol-
so when you beat pikuniku you still go back to it for more?
@@BRALEHAM1 yep! I constantly re-start the game and play it all over again. One of my favorite experiences!!
Aint gonna lie that green screen set up was one of the best jokes I've seen on RUclips for a while
Superliminal is one of my favourite games EVER, and every time I re-play it I still get surprised. It’s one of those games that you can play over and over again and it never gets less interesting because there’s so much detail. I think it’s very underrated, so thank you for sharing!

I just finished playing later alligator! Thanks so much, Noodle for recommending these awesome games that I would've never found myself!
Rain Word is AMAZING. It’s so beautiful and the physics are really fun once you get used to them. You feel like a badass because you’re so helpless but you manage to take down things so much bigger than you. Still haven’t finished it, but highly recommend.
YES. Rain world is one of my favourite games
I have 100 hours in rain world. It's great. Some of the mods are just crazy! I love Aether Ridge.
