"This movie is 90's" is a funny critique - why yes, it was filmed in the 90s. And even in the 90's it was considered an 'out there' film - mostly because of the bold and speculative stylistic choices, and at that time the vast majority of society still thought computers and the internet were a mysterious and mostly useless piece of technology. I was 12 when this movie came out - so while 28 years of progress later it feels dated and easy to mock for not being 'serious' enough, rest assured that if you'd seen it in the 90's as the rare techy kid in the first generation with computers in school, it was the coolest thing you'd seen in your life. Also boobs.
FACTS! Fell in love with this movie (and Angelina) when I first saw it! I was blown away even knowing how unrealistic it was...gotta have an imagination tho! 😉
@@rj5485 Right on, at the time it was basically a grounded popcorn flick about superheroes - but for people 'in the know' it made their community look as cool as they felt.

Though on the other hand a lot of low budget movies and productions, those filmed with TV cameras instead of on film, were actually edited in digital pretty much from the moment digital editing existed, then converted back to analog to release on tape. Huh. And the most replayed part is exactly where I thought it would be.
Alright , the music from the beggining is giving me so many memories from childhood. Thank you!
My dad, who works as a programmer, showed this movie to me as a teenager because he thought it was the funniest thing he’d ever seen, I’m glad more of the world gets to experience this masterpiece lol
I was born in January of 1995, so I can confirm, that every time you opened a door, there was 90% chance you'd be held at gunpoint, and 10% chance your mom questioning why you didn't have a girlfriend.
Ah, some things never change.
You ever get that ultra rare encounter where your mom held you at gunpoint asking why you didn't have a girlfriend? I was so stoked when I lucked into it!
@@firstnext5482 it never happened to him because it's a 0,000000001% chance of that to happen.
5:25 had me hollerin' 🤣🤣 we totally ignored that PSA... AND YET IT IS SO ICONIC!!!
Your the only RUclipsr that doesn’t make me wanna skip sponsors
I remember watching this movie in Computer Sciences class in middle school. The real issue is that we watched another movie that was actually really good but I can't remember the title. I also don't think that the person who was teaching Computer Sciences was an actual teacher.
Could it have been Sneakers? That's another movie from the same era that tends to be regarded as more accurate to actual hacking compared to this one
**arrives on a skateboard and does a cool kick-flip on the teachers desk**
“Hey guys, my names is Mr. Notateacher. But you can call me Steve”
Student: **raises hand** uh....sir? What happened to Miss [INSERT TEACHER NAME HERE]
**completely ignores the question**
Today we’re gonna learn about *COMPPUUUTERRRSS!*
**random airhorn sounds**
“Radical!”
Student: This is....math class.....

I was just talking to my sister about this and all my dad heard was me mentioning "a guy in a fur coat angrily coming down the hall on a skateboard" and he immediately asks, "are you talking about Hackers?" Lol
"crash override" HE IS LITERALLY THE COMPUTER VERSION OF BUDDY THUNDERSTRUCK OH MY GOD
Noodle..... I need to binge watch all your uploads man😎👍
16:44 “it’s his turn” had me cackling like a witch
I actually think that a parody of this film with noodle-type humor and animation would be pretty damn entertaining
I maintain, if noodle made an animated, well anything; series, movie, whatever, I’d watch it until my pc exploded
@@cakecinema9385 yup, sounds me too
The thing is, you usually make parodies of movies that are trying to be super serious. This movie has never been viewed like that really. A parody of it would just make the parody look more try hard than the movie itself.
@@Rockyzach88 Hmm, but imagine a parody which just isn't trying hard to parody, but also fixes the issues with the film? Make it a little more atmospheric, a little more character focused, a little more attractive to look at. But at that point is that even a parody? Or a spiritual sequal? Who knows.
This, even less than a year later, is just so funny. Noodle = BEST RUclipsR (that, does reviews....)
18:05 Noodle is in so much pain he turns into a parrot
