Noodle's cardboard cutouts being swapped has the same energy as clones being created and destroyed after being used for just their facial expressions. I find this more amusing than necessary.
Seriously, this game blew me the fuck away. I was in no way mega hyped for it, but as soon as I got my hands on it for more than an hour it was like genuine crack.
For those unaware, the "Projection" ability has its own voice actor. As Raz is voiced by the guy who played Invader Zim, his projection is voiced by the guy who voiced Gir. A match long-since made in heaven.
The enemy design is one of my personal favorite things. Every wonky creature you’re fighting isn’t just designed to be the average goblin, it’s an ACTUAL CONCEPT of the HUMAN BRAIN. You’ve got the standard-issue censors that just want you out cause you’re not supposed to be there, you’ve got the ooey gooey doubts that hold you back and slow you down, you’ve got the absolutely overwhelming and terrifying *HOLY FUCK* panic attacks, stuff is just great. Like, animation, design, everything.
plus the fact that you fight panic attacks by very literally slowing them down is PERFECT because that's one of the BIGGEST (and arguably most effective for many people) ways of combating panic attacks in real life.
I'm guessing the reason why the bad mood can only be defeated with clairvoyance is due to input from the psychologists who were brought in for the game. The way to combat bad moods in real life is to use empathy and help the person talk through their feelings, NOT lashing out at them- so its good for realism and symbolism, not so good for gameplay
Yeah, making it that way is smart because of how it works in real life, so it's kind of goofy to argue that it's stupid when it was made that way to facilitate better consideration for mental health and such after saying that you like how it was made to be more considerate of those things.
I'm a big fan that this game is just Pyschonauts 2. No bells and whistles. Great writing like the 1st, youre just a bit of a better pyschic, no dumb explanation for unlocking all of your abilities again, its great. Can't wait to finish this masterpiece
I was so afraid that they were going to somehow shoehorn in an explanation why you have to learn some of your old abilities again and I'm so glad that they were able to give an introduction to those abilities without entirely removing them from the player
I always interpreted Boyd's breakdown as a learning experience for Raz and it's what facilitates his growth later on in the game and in the sequel where he's more attentive, accommodating, and more empathetic with the people whose minds he jumps into. He's ultimately a well-intentioned kid who genuinely wants to help people but he got in over his head with Boyd due to not treating him with the empathy and respect he so desperately needed.
I really liked how Raz has a "innocence to experience" character arc. His arc one of the best character arcs in video games that involve the main character of a series (or even a single game) changing their values like how their video games are changing values, and become better people in the process. I love how Psychonauts does it: in the first game, Raz is surrounded in an environment with a bunch of kids who aren't as smart or confident as him; he's a prodigy compared to them, and not expected to understand the rules. But in the second, he's in an environment surrounded by equals who are just as (and even more) gifted and trickier than him, and it gives him a genuine challenge, with different rules that he must adapt to, though he eventually does prove himself and did what other Psychonauts couldn't do in the past.
problem with that is that he needs money from sponsorships, so everyone who *Can Afford it* go sub to his patreon so he can not worry bout money an work on quality vids for all of us
Unfortunately the RUclips Algorithm doesn't care about quality over quantity. if creators don't upload at a consistent rate then they're often screwed.
I like how dynamic these little cardboard animations have become. Before it was just a little cardboard man talking to us in his cardboard living room. Now he's a cardboard man showing us his cardboard world and his cardboard hands
I’m glad that you mentioned that Psychonaunts 2 feels like a godly animated film, because I’ve been begging to god for Laika studios to somehow pick up the rights to making a Psychonauts stop motion movie, because the style of PSY and the charm of Laika models are just so wonderful to look at.
my favorite part about this game is helping the psi king slowly regain his memory through this saturated, comic book style world where he relearns smell and taste. I don’t know why but my jaw was wide open because of how incredible this part was.
And the saddest one for me too, the part where (SPOILER) he asks for why their friends letted him there frozen in the ice just to Ford and Otto to come and clarify what happened, oof, the voice actors nailed it in that part
omg yes, i lost like 4 lives from falling off of things because I wasn't watching where I was going and instead googling at the pretty colors and jaw-dropping environments
I was thinking about this but Psychonauts asking if it's okay to enter someone's mind or asking if someone's ready to enter their mind is consistent with the first game. Sasha, Milla, and even Oleander ask Raz if he wants to enter their minds.
22:00 I'm actually studying to be a mental health professional and this is an extremely important point. You cannot tell someone how to solve their problem. You can only help them come to their own solution. Everyone is their own person and sees the world through their own lense. You can't make them see through yours, so your job is to help their lense become clear.
Honestly, hearing that I don't *necessarily* need to play 1 to enjoy 2, along with hearing just how good folks have found it… has me more seriously considering giving it a try.
as someone who played the first one when it came out, loved it, played the second when it came out, loved it, got maximum enjoyment from seeing little things referencing the first one, I say.... Please do whatever it takes to play the second one, even if it means skipping out on the first one! absolutely no gatekeeping here, Psychonauts 2 deserves to be loved and appreciated by as many people as possible!
UPDATE: They added EVEN MORE quality of life updates!! ruclips.net/video/keSneYfvOw8/видео.html The podcast I mention at the end: ruclips.net/video/7sZs0Gk3Ttc/видео.html this is probably the first video I've ever made that qualifies as an actual review and I didn't even mean for that to happen
@@cooler_carpington there's two different themes I think, flea circus which was the meat circus recreation and the Aquato family caravan They're both great
I remember a friend linking me a thread on /v/ about it, the fact that nearly100% of the people there were basically saying "Damn, this was actually a really good followup to the first one" when the entire board usually consists of people systematically explaining why the game you like is hot garbage and you shouldn't be let out of the house without supervision because of your taste, has to be a testament to the fact that doublefine did a pretty great job on this one.
Considering we got games like Psychonauts 2, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Metroid Dread, and No more heroes 3, sequels to games people have been waiting quite awhile for, I’d think it’s fair to say 2021 was somewhat the year of the comebacks.
@@animationdude9 Metroid is AMAZING. I just wish it was longer. Also y’all sleeping on halo infinite, I’ve been waiting 5 years since halo 5 lol it’s been a while plus the flight test was *chefs kiss* 👨🏾🍳
And we also have LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (basically the sequel to the 2007 LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga) coming out HOPEFULLY next year, and it’s so awesome because it’s like the zoomer equivalent of Banjo Kazooie.
at one point when you were at like 10k subs I had you on a list of people I wanted to shout out because they deserved more subs. now you have more than twice my subs and all I can think of is... how fucking well deserved it is :)
I feel that the Bad Mood necessitating Clairvoyance to beat them makes for some good combat encounters when they are accompanied by other enemies, meaning that you probably won't try to take them until the rest are gone, and the Bad Mood has some mean attacks that are harder to dodge when they're not alone. Their basic projectile bounce around the place and sometimes feels like it's homing in on you and their super-attack has a higher chance of hitting you when you're distracted. As for Clairvoyance outside of combat, I feel that they should still indicate that we should use it when it's something that isn't gameplay related, like seeing the evolution of the bacon guy's vision after his hunger for the stuff has been satiated or what the Ball of Light sees right after it gets into a body again.
Yes it is the best representation, I get so sick of seeing games always pandering to me. Like they treat gay characters as something special and it's to the point that they come off as being completely inhuman. The game downplaying it and treating a gay character as a person with flaws and characteristics like everyone else was in fact a good thing.
Honestly one of the coolest things to me was the whole five senses area being this huge Pink Floyd refferece with the style of the music being just like some of their early work like "Let There Be More Light" and the whole thing with the lamps and the triangles with the rainbow things made my crazy diamond so happy Also the Picasso-Esque character designs of Ford and some of the other NPC's, the uneven eyes and the differently coloured noses, it's so unique and I just want more of this
In accordance to Noodle's button mapping for powers critique, look no further than the Batman Arkham games. You have the ability to use all of Batman's gadgets in combat without having to go through a menu. It's mostly button combinations to access each gadget in combat and is a good example of what could've been done for this game.
Arkham City is such a beautiful example of button mapping, probably the best ever. You have 5 combat gadgets on easy access, then you press a button modifier to use puzzle/predator gadgets that are all related to those exact combat ones.
Psychonauts 2 seems to be attempting what balan wonderworld failed on, an accurate interactable depiction of someone’s traumas and fears. The only difference, psychonauts 2 is good… and had time…
I think Balan had potential, considering that trauma and fear are abstract ideas with many ways to interpret them, but it’s execution was horrible. Cutscene cg was good tho.
The little projection Raz and the intentional Zim and Gir VA reunion is easily the best part of the game. he's so precious and anyone who thinks otherwise is objectively wrong
I'm glad to see that even people who weren't fans of the original can enjoy this one. I played the original not long after it came out, I was probably around 10. I absolutely loved it, and nobody had any idea what I was talking about. Now almost 20 years later they finally make a sequel and it's absolutely amazing. So glad to see it getting the praise.
Fun fact, when I installed the game I thought I was going to play 2 or 3 hours and continue another day. 16 hours later, at 3am, I finished the game. I rather liked it.
I really love your art style changing to be popsicle stick puppeteering with a completely cardboard setting, it's so innovative considering the white background stationary characters of other animation creators
8:07 How much editing magic did you do for this scene? I think it’s easy to forget that these shorts are made with physical cardboard and it’s super cool
If you go frame by frame through 8:12 you can actually see the drawing of the tooth guy stay in place for like a frame while the background popsicle stick moves riiight before the scene change. So I'm guessing what he did was film the two popsicle sticks on the one shot, with the one on the right just being a blank piece of paper, then drew the tooth guy digitally with a realistic marker-like brush and tracked it onto the plane of the paper with a convincing blending mode. Although there's a weird line in the top right corner that moves with the drawing, so it looks like there's something being masked that extends past the paper's edges which kind of confuses me because I'm not sure why you'd need to mask anything on there at all.
@@balls261 Is it possible this is still motion video? It looks to me like green post-it notes that Noodle drew on for the effect. Maybe he either filmed the two popsicles separately (note that both are in focus) or he held the popsicles still whilst putting on a post-it. Or you know, editing magic; I no cardboard good
Noodle's constant berating us of getting a vr set has finally gotten to me, and not only that, but my pervious choice to listen to his get Honey advice actually helped me as i got a lucky discount on my said quest... So moral of the story, Peer pressure works also love your content noodle, keep on breathing
Hearing the little jingle that plays when you get a new seed in PvZ at the start of the video just gave me huge nostalgia. I'm gonna go redownload PvZ rn for the first time in years.
Tldr: First game good, Second game better. I remember playing through the first game for the first time a month before the sequel came out. While I loved its quirkyness and overall story. The gameplay definitely wasn't the biggest highlight for me. Then I played the sequel. Holy fucking shit it was like night and day. It felt like I was grinding the gameplay to get to the story in the first. That shit flowed so much better in the sequel and I never had moment where I was like ugh. I would also just stand in awe at each new environment. They ranged from good to great before in the first but they were obviously limited by the technology of it's time. The combat was also a lot more fun as well. Overall an absolutely amazing game from start to finish for me. It lived in my head rent free for a long time after I finished it.
A lot of the discourse I've seen about PN2 has either praised or criticized it for stepping away from the tone of the first game through trying to have its characters learn about mental health in the process, and I felt like this was the first review that acknowledges the benefits of stepping away whilst still recognizing it was for the sake of a joke. So, thanks!
I want to highlight the importance of Double Fine taking the time to acknowledge in that disclaimer about how the game is not making fun of mental illness, but in a way celebrating the abilities to empathize and to heal. Not to get into the weeds but I am diagnosed with moderate PTSD (downgraded last year from "acute or severe" PTSD, woo! /s), and at times I find certain games to be difficult to play because of it. But the fact that Double Fine intentionally makes the game about finding yourself amidst chaos and reconciling in a healthy way is really important. I can even say that Psychonauts in some way helped with my own case! Still waiting to hear if my therapist agrees. But yeah, thanks Double Fine.
I was scared when you tied Tim and gamergate, but then I looked it up and I am very happy that he made a perfectly innocuous joke that poked fun at GamerGate and was (predictably) blown up by those very same fragile, fragile gamerz.
When you've been lied to for years and you don't want to know how or why. Tim Schaefer is a chode who can't handle finances and hates you unconditionally. Gamergate is simply not what he and every journalist under the sun has portrayed it as for the last 7 years. But of course, being it was a consumer revolt directed against those with direct editorial control over the narrative, a narrative was spun in their favor. However they haven't ever forgot the painful scar of a large amount of people saying 'Enough is enough with corrupt nepotistic so-called enthusiast press flagrantly push IDPOL in every review they make, take money from corporations or literally have sex with indie devs for favorable reviews or to shoot down competing titles for the same reason. Enough with people that openly hate video games and the people that play them because they think they're better than both because they have a journalism degree.'
@@tellyg7985 Honestly I don't know much about Tim, I do remember when the whole GG shit started and what it was all about initially but yeah as with anything people argued, shit got blown out of proportion on both sides and it turned into a cluster fuck of people chatting extremes with reason thrown out the window. People don't really care about the facts though, just whatever fits nicely into their narrative and after enough time has passed seeing anybody still be passionate about it paints them immediately in a bad light because the sentiment is that everyone else has already moved on. So long story short, nothing good was learnt, everybody misunderstood each other and we will continue to make the same mistakes, as ever, because people just don't care. Happy New Year folks!
18:24 seeing the shadow again after completing the game and finding out who it is, I can actually recognize them now. Well I recognize the big ass hat and can kind of make out their facial shapes.
Easily my GOTY for 2021. I already loved the first game and this one somehow surpassed in every way. All while also still feeling like a natural progression from the first as if 15+ years hadn't actually passed since then. Given how turbulent the development was it's insane we ever got it at all, let alone in this state.
this is the video that convinced me to take actual interest in psychonauts, and now i couldn't be more obsessed. you summed up the inherent kindness of the sequel so well; as a mentally ill person myself, it meant the world to me to see them drop that weird veneer of edginess almost entirely in favor of the genuine heart and sympathy that psychonauts 2 possesses. we're all lucky that this game didn't just come back: it grew up along the way.
You can really tell how much effort went into the art design and writing. It is in my top 2 games of the year so far, and it is probably the winner as I am still riding a high off of literally just finishing Guardians of the Galaxy which also has a super colorful art design and good writing, not as clever as Psychonauts though.
@@andrempmorais yes it is also good, but anything coop has a leg up if you are playing with someone you have fun being around, however, it is still definitely near the top of this year's releases.
I think part of the reason the gay representation was so successful is because of how subtle it was. I didn't even know Bob was gay until the wedding scene, whereas in most other pieces of media they would beat you over the head with it.
They don't shove it in your face until you're literally inside their heads; mere figments in Psi King's brain and Bob has a hilarious deification of his partner.
Ya know Noodle, it’d be cool that when Silksong comes out and you’ve gotten time to play and enjoy the game, you could do a video talking about recent metroidvania games, & talk about Silksong & Metroid: Dread. I know you’d probably not want to do a full review of Dread, and I get the feeling that in a video, you’d wanna keep thoughts on Dread short and quick, so that feels like a good opportunity to talk about your thoughts on both good games. Edit: Actually, something even better you could do (and before Silksong comes out) is talking about recent games from franchises thought dead, like Psychonauts (that would be brief), Metroid: Dread, and others. Hell if you take long enough maybe you could add F-Zero to that list. Maybe you could even mention Kickstarter games like Omori, where people weren’t even sure the game was going to exist.
I can't help but stare at that picture frame, and continuously debate that it's either a man with a mohawk eating a piece of toast, or a duck with a mohawk. This game has always been on my list of, "maybe I'll try it at one point...". Really needed that little push to check it out, and even attempt the first. And this video definitely was that push! A really convincing showing of this game, and just really felt like you truly really like this game!
Before you even said it I knew it was Peter McConnell as the composer, as a musician with *heaps* of nostalgia for the Sly Cooper games (also McConnell) his style was immediately recogniseable and just as spicy, rich and well orchestrated as ever, I will definitely be picking this game up after this
A noodle upload is the warm fire in the middle of a snow storm. Having to juggle college, a sport, a job, and a social life is extremely tough, so getting a notif saying this gremlin man has uploaded is a god send.
17:50 i think the reason is so that while you're in the wheel going "where's x so i can deal with this enemy" it gives you time to go "wait i wonder if y would work too" or just as a way to give you time to think of what to use in general
I would love to watch him play these games. The small clips we see of him playing look so fun and enjoyable to watch that I really wish he recorded himself.
I only recently discovered this channel and I am thoroughly enjoying every video. Your sense of humour, animation style (and yes, I agree with you that 60 FPS is unnecessary and often detrimental), personality, and way of explaining all put a smile on my face. I was on the fence about this game but will *definitely* get it now! ...and a couple of the ol' NFS games too come to think of it. Hoping you'll make a sequel to that so I can enjoy your creative criticism on it. With how thoroughly you seem to have played to games, I wonder if there's any recent installments that are worth our attention.
speaking as a gay person: yeah this game genuinely has the best gay representation in a game i think ive ever seen. everything about it felt natural and tugged on my heartstrings in just the right way, and the characters themselves blew me out of the water. (all the characters did, but these two especially.) i can also confidently say that both of their minds were my favorite levels as well, just overall an incredible addition to an already stellar game.
@that one dog You clearly haven't played the game lol It's not even a case where you could make the argument that the two lovers are "best friends" they make it pretty fucking obvious with a whole wedding memory and everything.
@@incorrectstuffthingy5647 you sound like the narcissistic person, sorry. Being happy to see good representation isn't narcissistic. It wasn't 60 years ago that gay people had to fight just to prevent the police from breaking up safe havens for gay people and murdering them under the guise of protecting and serving. It wasn't but 7 years ago that gay people got the right to marry country-wide in America. Maybe you don't have to ever think about seeing someone like you portrayed well in media, but not everyone is so fortunate to live in that kind of world, but the narcissistic person is one who callously says the shit you say just because people are happy to see characters they can personally relate to based on shared life experiences.
5:29 is the most... Uh... I honestly don't even know. My brain kinda exploded when I heard that. It kinda completely goes against most of what I think about Microsoft. ... Seriously. It's just weird. A good weird, don't get me wrong, but... it's still weird. It's completely out of character for them. This, alongside Halo: Infinite is starting to make me think they're finally understanding what makes good games good. ... I'm genuinely proud of them. Damn.
Oh I ADORED this game. I played the first one like 3 times and platinumed it and it took me 3 days to plat the second game. It was so visually stunning and fun. Saw this video in my subs and was so excited to watch it I had to go make something to eat first lmao
What I find endearing is how inherently good natured and empathetic the series is as a whole. The first game, despite lacking in proper representation of mental health, and containing lots of "edgy" jokes, still has a very heartwarming story underneath it all.
this is the kind of video I want to wake up to on a Saturday afternoon. I can’t put into words how happy I am that people seemed to have loved this game. Was so worried it would just go untalked about five weeks after release!
I played Psychonauts 1 a few months before 2 came out just to catch up on the story. I didn't even really want to, since it's so old and probably will only look good with nostalgia glasses. Wrong. I was *very* surprised how much I loved it and now it's one of my favourites together with Psychonauts 2.
*Raz in Psychonauts 2:* Very concerned about the ethics of entering other people's mind, even if it's to help them with their trauma *Raz in Psychonauts 1:* "Gonna trigger this paranoid arsonist's psychosis just to open a gate, then steal a delusional actress' Emmy award to trick a blind guy into letting me ride the elevator"
I really like the way Psychonauts 2 handles homosexuality because the people who are gay aren't JUST gay. They are also people. They have a personality outside of "I like boys." It's great.
And they made the whole psychics-as-a-metaphor-for-gay-people thing way, WAY more explicit, so you get the feel that nearly all of the characters have at least some of the experience of being cast out for something they are.
I love how no extra attention was brought to it. They're just actual people. Just "Yup they're in a relationship" and it's normalized to the point where no one freaks out or is shocked by it.
@@Frommerman I absolutely missed that though. I thought it was more of a play that Raz is a circus kid and that he runs away to be normal to an extent. The polar opposite of Kids running away to go join the circus to be special. His mom even makes a point about it. Imo it was generally aimed at misfit kids; rockers, nerds, hipsters, freaks, animal lovers, etc. Whoever wasn't a regular non psychic. But I see the point you we're trying to make.
In treating topics like mental health, romance, and political oppression with the care they deserve, this game adds a _shocking_ amount of depth. It really does pay to consult the experts in a case like this. Also, side note, that lil’ doodle of me in the credits is something I will treasure forever. It’s magnificent.

man what an experience this game was, easily game of the year and one of the best games i've had the pleasure to play, and seeing Noodle describing exactly how I feel toward this game makes me so happy.
Easily the best game of the year. i never played the original back in the day, nor am i really a platformer person, but when it released it looked really cool and ive heard over the years the stuff about the milkman and all that hype on the ideas the first game had. so i saw its on game pass so i played the first one, loved it even tho it was a bit rough around the edges and frustrating at times, and played this and was blown away
I wonder if noodle makes new cardboard cutouts for every video or just makes new ones when he needs the specific reactio. Either way, he's killing it and it's way more fun to watch
I've never heard of this game, EVER , but it seems like a rather prolonged BUT interesting story on this game, I agree with your reasoning and I actually want to get my hands on this game now. tl;dr, thank you soup for making me a fan of this game, gonna buy it ok bye
My case exactly, never heard of the game until I saw moistcritical's review and I decided to give it a try. Two days later I finished it with the biggest smile on my face .. beautiful experience.
24:00 i personally prefer this mechanic!! having the wheel encourages you to change your toolset for combinations without having too many buttons to have to reach for during combat: swapping on the fly with new combinations, without necessarily getting too reliant on any one power!
Okay. I had absolutely no interest in Phsychonauts when the 1st or 2nd game came out. But honestly just hearing how much passion and excitement you have for them game has actually gotten me to give it a go. Hopefully its good. If it is not I will say a bad.
Thank you, you beautiful door-rating, halo loving, interpolation debunking cardboard wizard. Psychonauts is severly underrated, yet is one of the most alive games ive ever seen. Thank you for introducing people to it.
Another problem was that the default setup for the abilities they had was so comfortable that I would only swap the q slot unless I absolutely had to do something else as well. I honestly cannot think of any other spots for psi powers that wouldn't feel awkward, so I will withhold my anger for now.
Fun fact about projection that I am surprised isn't mentioned here. Rosearik Rikki Simons plays the projection, he also voiced Gir in Invader Zim. Which fits amazingly with Richard Steven Horvitz playing Raz, because also played Zim.
Something like the Batman Arkham quick fire systems would’ve been a good solution to the ability wheel. Make the most of the directional D-Pad and have half a dozen abilities if not more to use, but also have the binds to use it all without even having to switch and reward people who make the effort to memorise them as well as not breaking up gameplay
As far as binding abilities to the controller, they could've even just double stacked if there's only 8 abilities... up on the d-pad equips one, then up on the d-pad again could swap to another that the player could bind themselves.
Nah, the easiest one should be the hold and press buttons, hold LB to use TK and press it to slow time, hold LT to use levitation and press it to connect ideas, stuff like that
have to say, i was happy at the gay representation in the game, was not expecting it but when it happened i loved it, being able to see yourself in something without it being a stereotype was amazing, im glad i picked the game up day one on gamepass, and finished it on day 3, just wish i could have the new game experience all over again

Yeah, making it that way is smart because of how it works in real life, so it's kind of goofy to argue that it's stupid when it was made that way to facilitate better consideration for mental health and such after saying that you like how it was made to be more considerate of those things.
Also, it's a good way to make clairvoyance actually useful, rather than just being used for visual silliness.
It's annoying sometimes, but it's a threat that needs focus while everything is going on around you. It's a shakeup in gameplay :)
yeah true, but then they shouldnt have been made an enemy, because they sadly ruin some combat encounters, because of that single solution.

Yeah, that's how the representation should work, they are just normal people, nothing special or different
Plus, it's Jack Black.
Honestly one of the coolest things to me was the whole five senses area being this huge Pink Floyd refferece with the style of the music being just like some of their early work like "Let There Be More Light" and the whole thing with the lamps and the triangles with the rainbow things made my crazy diamond so happy
Also the Picasso-Esque character designs of Ford and some of the other NPC's, the uneven eyes and the differently coloured noses, it's so unique and I just want more of this
I think the five senses area is even a Beatles reference too
Was fun to play it
In accordance to Noodle's button mapping for powers critique, look no further than the Batman Arkham games.

And I would love to buy a physical version. I hope they make one
So, thanks!
P2 was truly a fucking insane and wonderful experience

Yo, noodle said hi.
Straight person here: it absolutely did make me cry

Okay. I had absolutely no interest in Phsychonauts when the 1st or 2nd game came out. But honestly just hearing how much passion and excitement you have for them game has actually gotten me to give it a go. Hopefully its good. If it is not I will say a bad.
I love the outer wilds pfp :)
@@randomalt9617 Hey thanks man!! Loved the new dlc for it
@@spaceperson613 I wish I had the system requirements to play it; the game looks awesome!
@@randomalt9617 it's on almost everything so if you got a console then you can play it there. Also PLEASE go in as blind as you can
@@spaceperson613 well, I already found out that you need to go in blind so… oops
It’s one of those problems where you go “why is this a thing? Someone solved this already, and very publicly!”
@@Circuitssmith this is VERY sad but VERY true
As far as binding abilities to the controller, they could've even just double stacked if there's only 8 abilities... up on the d-pad equips one, then up on the d-pad again could swap to another that the player could bind themselves.
Nah, the easiest one should be the hold and press buttons, hold LB to use TK and press it to slow time, hold LT to use levitation and press it to connect ideas, stuff like that
This video is so inspiring. You talk about art you love with your own art, thank you for taking the time to make something
i really like that you use songs from the phyconauts ost for background music
12:09 I can't believe I totally missed that level being a pun on the term "hairbrained idea."
have to say, i was happy at the gay representation in the game, was not expecting it but when it happened i loved it, being able to see yourself in something without it being a stereotype was amazing, im glad i picked the game up day one on gamepass, and finished it on day 3, just wish i could have the new game experience all over again
Tbh that was the worst part of the game 2/10

@@keller_3180 The hell you mean? Bob's Bottles was just ok, but psy kings sensorium, was great.
@@MrMcGriddIe The sensorium was a blast
"Being able to see yourself without it being a stereotype is amazing" I guess you've been looking in the mirror too much
