Deejays Juicie Brucie Bradley and Dick Summer played the Tom Rush version of Joni's "Urge for Going" several times a night during their shifts and made me a lifelong fan. Pure poetry set to music.
I grew up in Detroit, was attending classes at Wayne State University in the '60s and was aware of Tom's appearances at The Chessmate. I'm so sorry I never went there to see him.

Tom’s great. His ‘Urge for Going’ is an anthem. Thanks River Club. Can’t wait to get back to Normal, and come back to your terrific venue.
