Hi again Tom. I met you once at your event in the Rialto Theatre in Loveland Colorado many years ago. I want you to know that I am 68 years young, and I love music, especially guitar, and YOU are my favorite guitar-playing, singing, songwriter artist! You touch my soul every time I listen to you. God Bless You. You have left a legacy. Cindy Neal from Loveland, Colorado
he is big an the source of one of the greatest song forever
His speaking voice is just as great as his singing voice.
I fell in love with this man's music at age 18 (I am 75 now). He has inspired me as a musician and songwriter since the days- so happy to see him still doing what he does best.
I've been a fan for five decades, and still am.
Poor
Discovered Tom on a road trip in Arkansas, amazing soul
This performance reveals an unprecedented level of emotion. It's all there. Those two worlds of joy and sorrow joined together in one package. A most gifted artist is Tom Rush.
I’ve loved Tom since the 60’s...still one of my all-time favorites.❤️
Me too!
I had one of those Japanese transistor radios , it was small and in a fake leather case. I would lay in my bunk at the old run down house. I was about 14 years old. I did well in school. Didn't need much sleep. Then one night Tom Rush came on. I was hooked. The station was AM out of Boston Mass. WGBH ! I live way down on the east coast and was a very good surfer. After that brief time of my life. The crap hit the fence. I kinna grew up..Went into the Army and had a grand time [NOT]. Came home went to college. I was not as smart then LOL. But through all those years and now ..older [old]. I play the guitar or rather make it scare my cat, and still love to hear TOM RUSH. I do not regret a moment of both the pain and pleasure of all of the years. Thank You TOM ..!
I've got a lot of those memories Patrick. Dick Summer from WBZ-AM became a friend, all thiss with the music of the 60' folk sound.. I'm 70 now and this fly's me back.
Forgot about his thoughtful music, glad I rediscovered him.
Incredible guitarist! And lovely voice. I could listen to him for hours on end. ♥
Before there was James Taylor, there was Tom Rush, essential singer/songwriter and interpreter of James, Joni, Jackson, etc. Rockport Sunday was the first open tuning songs I learned. So many great tunes. No Regrets is a beautiful song and tribute to the wonderful women in my life, the ones who left, and the one who stayed. Thanks for sharing this.
Same here, “Rockport Sunday” was my first open tuning discovery, learned at Air Force basic training in San Antonio more than 50 years ago.
💜
THIS MAN IS A TRUE GENIUS
Lol...genius who plays wrong (false) notes....
Bought his The Circle Game while stationed in Portsmouth NH and STILL have it.. Saw him once..Great show AND guy...
Originally part of a great album, Circle Game. Perfect. Every song a gem.
I have this on a CD from when I saw him in St. Louis in 2001; Love his guitar playing AND VOICE!
Tom Rush, keeping the tradition alive.
Randy Potter
Like the lake at Ponchertrain!
There's been days I've listened to Rockport Sunday on repeat for hours; needed to hear each and every sound
One of my Guitar Mentors from the old Le Hibou days & Saturday afternoon Master Class Workshops ... his were always tops in my mind ...taught us what you don't play is often as
important as what you do play ! (We both played Jumbo Texan Epiphones ) circa 1965
Grew up in Ottawa and loved Le Hibou
Something really special about these tunes , timeless.
Great singer/songwriter.
Simply amazing!! My goodness. Always knew of Tom but never really tapped into his music. WOW!!!
When it came out I think late 60 or 71/72 I heard it on AFN and it impresses me immediatly so much and I searched to find the LP ... I still have it and still love this sad song .... Thank you Tom Rush
Love this man saw him in concert so many times. Great voice
he's terrific. just found out about him. didnt know him. glad i find him.
Try Tim Hardin
Lovely guitar work.... his vocal internation is superb...
How have I never heard of Tom Rush?
Tom is 82, one of the originals, who discovered a young Joni Mitchell. His excellent recent set at the New Bedford Folk Festival with pianist Matt Nakoa included new songs.
A song that is great is one that stands the test of time - this is one such song.
The rugged shore crashing on the surf and the girlfriend drowning as a street walker in Venice. Guy coulda done standup.
One of the greatest artists in the folkrock genre. I love this song since I heard it in Allan Bangs "Nightflight" radio show in the seventies.Thx for uploading.
Timeless beauty!
Great music indeed lasts forever
Saw him first at the "old Unicorn" downstairs. Ha-ha! You and PP&M got me started. thank you soooooooo much. Still doing it.
Saw him, Tim Hardin, Gordon Lightfoot at Le Hibou a folk club in Ottawa, Canada.
Walker Brothers version is a great arrangement, great vocals. Great strings. It's a great song, it builds and builds and builds...
Tom is a great musician, heart and soul...
Great singer, great songwriter and guitarist. His voice is so good!
Sometimes with age, voices change a lot but time had been good to Tom.
Seen him chaleston s c. When.the album came out with that song singing the female voice carly simon with instruments in background bought the album next day
A national treasure!
Interestingly he performed at the New Bedford Folk Festival recently, also with Matt Nakoa, but passed over No Regrets in favor of some newer material.
Such a great artist
This is amazing
Worth the time to listen, better for watching if the guitar playing was also in view. Thanks.

Beautiful break up song. Every cloud......
Amy’s crazy dancing life d

Are you the Valerie from Stoneham High in the 60"s, if so I say Hi.
Busy today going down the rabbit hole listening to Tom's great talent.
Oh dear !😮
For a minute there, I thought Sam Clemens was back from the dead....
You should see him in his white suit! A Mark Twain look-alike. On his "No Regrets" DVD and here www.thecrimson.com/article/2013/5/27/tom_rush_1963_GCF/
nothing better.....
Still...
Actually the close cropping is due to activity in front of the stage at Kerrville with official photographers often blocking the image.

None better,see you in Rockport
Thanks preston
Wish the camera showed more of what he was playing.
As noted above, foot traffic in front of the stage made it necessary to close-crop.
The Walker Brothers are actually American and formed in L.A. Did go to England though.
mark twain sings...
Bruce Dalrymple and plays pretty well also.....
What an amazing sounding acoustic guitar that is,anyone know what make it might be?
www.tomrush.com/return-of-the-naked-lady/. There is also a reference to a handcrafted acoustic made by Don Musser.
Lolol...she drowned!😂😂
Beautiful song and appreciate hearing/seeing him at this age
BUT whoever took the video must not be a guitar player. Couldn’t see the hands that made this beautiful music even once!
Too much movement in front of the stage that blocked the guitar and was distracting. You’re lucky to see what you see.
Walker Brothers - all american
Tom...I guess you’re being facetious...calling U2 “kids”.
They are kids, it's all relative
Why'd you not show his playing.
Jimmaculate If you read my earlier comments you would know. There were a number of people moving between me and the stage blocking the view. Impossible to show him playing.
Beautiful, my friend compared my instrumental "Easter BLue Sky" with Rockport Sunday... so I had to check this out. Just gorgeous guitar work. Sounds like open G major tuning ?
Open C I believe. He has a guitar dvd available.
Write a song, like this, except the couple lives a lifetime together until one dies of natural causes.
WOW
