Today is my husband's birthday. He has Alzheimer's and is now in a nursing home. I played him this song and it brought a rare smile to his voice. For a few minutes his eyes lost that vacant look and he gripped my hand and seemed to see me for the first time in years. I know I'll never find another Him.

Judith had an over-reaching voice. Strong as a man's but pitched as a woman's. It would never get lost among the strings and other voices in the band. This successful formula was repeated years later in the famous girl-bands of the late 70's - 80's.
Sheena Easton, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson and even Olivia had *_nothing_* on Judith.
This song was my late wife’s and my anthem during our 47 years of a blessed marriage before I lost her to cancer 3 years ago...it still brings tears to my old eyes when I hear it 😢...but it brings good memories as well 😌

I LOVE the VOICE and the MELODIES sooo much . . . a WONDERFUL BAND . . . ! ! !
as if being a rocker would somehow make you a tough guy. you wouldn't last 2 minutes on eastern european streets. just enjoy the song and be happy.
Yes can't argue with that.
45 in2020 same here. i was there when this came out and i've liked it ever since and i am much more of a hard rocker.
ME TO S MANY PRESCIOUS MEMORIES , I TEAR UP EVERYTIME I HEAR IT BECAUSE IT TAKES ME BACK TO SUCH A SPECIAL TIME OF INNOCENSCE AND HOPE, SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!
I first came across this by chance a couple of years ago, and I keep coming back to it from time to time. I'd never heard of The Seekers before, but this has become one of my favourite songs over time. Deeply saddened to hear of Judith Durham's passing this morning.
This is the music I grew up with in the Netherlands. Still great music.
Hello friend, how are you doing today
@@Marybrunette I'm fine' thank you. Enjoying the day with good music.

What a timeless song and band - absolutely lovely!
I’ve been in love with Judith all my life, don’t tell the wife! ❤️

Amen!
Absolutely!
Massive "ditto" superb voice!!!
Yes,of course
An Arina Grande auditioning for the same gig as this woman would have been laughed out of the studio.
Quite possibly the most beautiful song ever recorded. Brings tears to my eyes every single time I listen to it. Judith Durham is a treasure.
YES
Loved hearing them Sunday morning. After breakfast with the Beatles. In my state lol
Ain't she something?
Agreed. Another You, along with Paul Stookey's rendition of Wedding Song. My favorites of all time.
Love the Guitar intro
Ah, back when music was real. four people, three playing real instruments, one singing, well I guess they all sang. But, no computers no auto tune, just a guy with a mixing board trying to balance it all. And he did a great job. I learned to use an old mixing/sound board back in 1981 in High School. Keep it out of the Red, was the only instructions I got. Those where good times too. I was born in 62. Be good every one.
Hello friend, how are you doing today
Hi I'm 23 years old, I can't explain whether it's my up bringing out the reason why I love music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and some of the 90s and this song was and still is one of my favourites and it really saddens me to see that we have lost another legend when now there are so few left. RIP Judith and thank you for the music.
You are one of the rare ones in your generation that appreciates real talent singers from those decades in contrast to what they play nowadays.
It's just that you like real music, not a lot of noise that rhymes. Back then you actually had to have good voice and be able to sing.and someone had to be able to write the word's and music.
Hi as one who grew up in the 60s the music we had was a happier sound not filled with hate and violence as with rap so called music of today. Sample some songs from Tommy James and the shondells , The Grass Roots ,even the Beatles. Even with a war going on our music was a happier sound
Robin, It's because you have that rare gift few people have. An old soul. Always remember you have it and don't let anyone diminish it for you. May you be blessed your entire life.
Please listen to trick of the tail by Genesis. Carpet crawlers. Ripples,
