I like it better. If you view it for first time maybe yeah kinda weird but most people watching would have been familiar with ff7. It was weird the first time just how far cloud yeeted. This is more grounded and the acknowledgment before jumping is all that's needed knowing this is a protagonist vs antagonist stare down.
Watching Last Order sort of made up for not playing Before Crisis since it was a Japan only mobile game. Never played Before Crisis, and I never will. But watching Last Order and playing Crisis Core is enough.
I remember seeing this a long time ago. Part of me believed they should just make an anime series of ff7 instead of a remake. People would watch it very closely.
I wouldn't say it's trash per se, but I agree this version of the events is a lot worse than the original. It was cool to see FF7 in anime form back when this came out.

This anime is trash. I like some of the animation but other than that the music and everything else in every way is worse than the original.
