    Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.

    Watch me make my own version of a vintage inspiration piece. Three tutorials in one! I paint and assemble a dollhouse chair kit, make a No-Sew apron and fill a vintage bowl with miniature clay green beans. I assemble these items to make a charming vignette fit for a country kitchen.
    I have been toiling away learning how to film and edit videos for RUclips. I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures to sculpted clay animals and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.

      You will have such a blast! Earth and Tree is an incredible dollhouse store. They have everything. I really love the vintage, artisan, one of a kind pieces and all the kits and supplies available. They have many decorated dollhouses to display the items on sale. It's such a blast. It's like a museum where you can touch things. I always visit when I'm in the area. They also have a website of course.

    Your green beans are perfect! The apron makes you visualize some one just picked the beans and took a quick break after cleaning them up.

    This is such a great way to get a bit of story and detail into a scene!! I love how it came out! I will have to try out that canopy glue that you suggested...does it come in that applicator?

      Hi! You're my inspiration for starting my own channel! Very nice to have you here.
      No, it comes in a larger bottle. I took a miniature class with Fran Sussman making a 1:144 scale kitchen and she provided the students with applicator bottles filled with canopy glue. I really love this glue. It's thinner than tacky but thicker than Elmer's glue. It's tacky and holds quickly. I'll be buying more for sure.
      I know you love model ships so it's fitting that you should buy some glue ship model makers use for the sails!
      Thank you for your comment

    A small stroke in '20 affected my left arm/hand, so sewing is out for me. And the Canopy Glue is cheap at the local Wal-Mart.. gonna make sure one of the local stores carries it.

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  2 года назад +1

      I hope you try this sewing alternative technique! You can use tacky glue and probably Elmer's glue. I assume any type of PVA glue would work. I do prefer the canopy glue because it's thin and cures clear.

    The "terrifying iron". Haha! Looks like a great tool. There is probably some kind of heat proof gizmo for that. I always wash plastic model parts too. I wash mine in Dawn first thing. Then right before I paint I spray them down with alcohol to get my fingerprints and stuff off them. I very seldom have paint problems. I like using Faller professional glue on plastic. I've been using Loctite superglue on plastic too, seems to be my 'go to' glue. Very good video.

      It is such a great tool but what a terrible design. I knew right away I needed to cover that hot rod bc I know I'd touch it. Before I bought it, I read the reviews and people were complaining the tool is dangerous. I rolled my eyes thinking, 'yeah, irons are hot.' Then I got mine and couldn't believe this thing is on the market.

    • @queencityminis

      Sure! It's an EasyHome precision glue gun but any brand precision glue gun will have a fine tip like that. It's great for miniatures.
