    • DIY dollhouse miniatur...
This video shows how I used jute string/rope to make the bristles of a broom. You could use the same technique to make brush bristles.
    Alternative materials for bristles:
Paint brush bristles: This is the most common substitute. Just avoid shiny, synthetic bristles. They don't take to the glue well.
    Makeup brush bristles
Dimensions of the matchsticks to make a 1:12 scale washboard:
    (2) 1 7/8" long side pieces
    (2) 3/4" middle pieces (cut one in half lengthwise so you end up with 3 pieces)
    (1) 3/4" wide popsicle stick for the brand name
The cardboard corrugation piece is 3/4" wide x 1" long
The gap above the brand name is the thickness of a matchstick, 1/8"
I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, dioramas, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.

What kind of weight is that with all the holes? What book do you use as a weight?

It's a 123 block (1 inch by 2 inch by 3 inch). It weighs 1 lb. The book is a reference guide to Miniature makers marks and signatures.

I used a product called Rust Effects from Goblins Hut. It cost $28 for a little bottle.

ruclips.net/video/GHAT_f73KFA/видео.html In this video, I used some jute rope to make bristles for a broom. You can also use bristles from a paint brush. I left more info in the description.

It wouldn't be unusual for burpee to put their logo on something like a washboard. That's advertising.
