You husband and mine should start a support group 🤣 they can work through the steps of understanding our process and helping us with storage solutions.
Having worked for many years in laboratories, I can say you got the bottles right. Many compounds make the glass go dull or chalky looking. A great touch.

This looks like an old abandoned pharmacy that had to stop their work because they got in trouble with the law or smth. It’s really amazing! You have such an eye for detail!

My local dollar store had some book boxes before halloween for $1 each. They said "Complete Apothecary" on them. Build walls and shelves from craft sticks. A desk from foam boards. Added some books and scrolls. A mortar and pestil for mixing potions. Bottles made from various beads. Some herbs and mushroomd. Some potion charts to decorate the inside of the book cover. Sold all 12 I made for $40 each. Fun project
That sounds great! Look at you monetizing your craft. ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.htmlsi=JkmQd-4or3fjDpBH I did one more video after this one with final details. I love how it turned out!
Hello from Canada! I absolutely LOVED watching you create the abandoned lab diorama! So many tricks I have learned from you, too! I love making miniatures, and you are so tallented that I wish I could learn from you. My favorite part was watching you make tiny bottles out of resin and hot glue! WOW! I loved watching you age and grunge up your diorama, and everything in it! You are amazing! TFSWM! ~Janet in Canada
I used to be really into miniatures but over time sort of lost interest. After seeing your video I was absolutely fascinated and my interest in miniatures has been rekindled big time. The slide box, actually the whole desk, was just genius.
Love this! I found a box that looks like a book about poisons. Maybe I will try a little secret spooky place inside there. Thank you for the inspiration and it is so great to see people making things without having to spend a ton of money on every little detail. This IS accessible to us all. Love it so much!
That sounds really cool! You could get the little glass jars at Dollar Tree and put labels on them. Absolutely! I love making things from free and cheap materials like paper, cardboard and recyclables.
You want my comments…thats the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a long time when it comes to crafts. Seriously…I’m giving you a standing ovation!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this. So realistic. At about 70 , I remember when old labs and Doctors offices looked that basic . In the 1950's alot of hospitals used a pale green paint color on the walls as it was suppose to be calming and restful and less stressful for patients and staff. Maybe you could find a use for the pale hospital green shade in future dioramas. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! Just awe inspiring work! Broken patent medicine bottles glass on the floor and broken cabinet windows. Mortar and pestle would look cool too.
You are an artistic genius. This is amazing. My Mother enjoyed making miniature scenes using real miniatures as well as items she made herself out of ordinary objects. She made Christmas more magical for us by using our dollhouse to create a scene with snow, and with Santa and his sleigh and reindeer flying through the air onto the dollhouse roof. She would have loved this video.

This turned out great! You aged everything so well and added SO many little details. The sink looks real. I think the whole thing is my favorite part. So cleverly done ;)
This is truly mind boggling. Just had a thought watching this, is it possible to make old cobwebs. The dust bunnies are a lovely touch. Keep on crafting and take care.
I just found your channel and I am in absolute awe of your talent and creativity! Also, your voice and your process is very soothing to binge watch before bed! I am so happy I found you! Thank you!

I am floored! This looks so grimy, old and I would not walk into! You have taken ‘detail’ to its fullest! You must have such steady hands! I love it❣️I’m so glad I came upon your channel! I’m coming back‼️
Wow, thank you! Welcome 🤗 My hands are somewhat steady. Probably shakier than most. I like the abandoned aesthetic is very forgiving but I'm starting a fancy boutique project soon. That'll be the real test.
Thank you so much! The tiny pinecones were given to me by a friend who knows I make miniatures. They're too big for 1:12 scale but they make great leaf scatter.
This was a suggested video for me and I watched it. I'm not sure what the point if this kind of art is, I'm not sure how it makes the world a better place, but I think it's cool and it definitely inspires me to want to make a diorama!
A lot of people with anxiety really enjoy watching bc it helps them relax. That means a lot to me. ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.html I made another video for this project with final details. I love how it turned out! Enjoy
@@queencityminis like I said. Maybe it's not necessarily my cup of tea, but I definitely admire your talent, passion for this art form, and dedication to helping others even just a little. I mean whether it makes the world a better place or not, what you made in these videos is super cool. And an art form that's super duper uncommon. Like a ship in a bottle. There's so many little stories you could tell while looking at the finished product!
Wow! The detail you have added almost paints a picture worthy of a sci-fi novel destined for classic status! Bravo! I’m feeling really inspired after watching this. Thank you.
Thank you Whitney! I probably should've made a broken one somewhere. I may need to make a new video adding details to this one. This is why you say projects are never really done.
OMG the way your mind works. The tings you think of are awesome. I absolutely love the test tube holder. Never would have thought of that. Just wonderful!
I have always loved miniatures: dollhouses, dioramas, model train buildings and landscapes, and so on. Antiques and steampunk are also my passions. You’ve combined all of this in your model. I wish my hands didn’t tremble so, or I’d attempt something similar to what you’ve achieved. Wonderfully done!
Your skills and attention to detail are just so soothing and cool to watch in action! I love how beautiful the porcelain texture on the sink turned out, and depicting the mold with paint splatter was a genius move, but I can't pick a favorite detail from this diorama because it all just comes together so perfectly. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful video!
ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.htmlsi=OcCBzYQnTt1bIiFd Thank you so much! I actually did one final video after this one, and I love how it turned out!
ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.htmlsi=JkmQd-4or3fjDpBH Thank you! I did one more video after this one with final details. I love how it turned out!
1st time viewer and I must say, this is absolutely fantastic!! Every thing from the dust bunnies, to the ceiling damage to the sink, slides etc..is phenomenal. You make amazing art!
Thank you!! I was given an old grimy printers tray and wanted to fill it with vintage looking miniatures. This video has given me so many ideas!! You do really beautiful work.
Another very impressive build. Your attention to detail is very evident. The use of cotton swabs wrapped in tape as light bulbs is genius. Many abandoned buildings have lots of graffiti -- perhaps you didn't want that to detract from your diorama, which is understandable, or the era modeled preceded spray paints. That's a topic of debate amongst model railroaders (whether to include, especially on freight cars) so it's something I notice. You simulated dust bunnies -- perhaps that technique could work for cobwebs? Things you might consider adding: an electrical outlet and switch somewhere on the wall, a cracked mirror, or a warning sign (i.e., biohazard, in case of emergency, etc.) since it's a lab. Well done.
Thank you so much! I'm not familiar with the model railroad world, but I can definitely understand that being a debate. I released a new video on this Diorama yesterday and included cobwebs, a light switch, and lots of other new additions. ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.html
For an abandoned places this lab is very pretty and atmospheric ☺️ I enjoyed watching you make it very much, and I love your calm way of explaining what you do. Thank you for sharing
Really cool! Favorite part was the desk. All the little details on it really brought the scene to life. Kinda feel like there was a missed opportunity with the broken microscopes to put one on the floor like it had fallen off the broken shelf and cracked when it hit the floor.
ruclips.net/video/WXhuBg-2zg8/видео.htmlsi=JkmQd-4or3fjDpBH I did one more video after this one with final details. I love how it turned out! I definitely need to get my hands on some alcohol inks. In the meantime, I mix rubbing alcohol into acrylic paint to sustain me.
This looks excellent! Sooo grungy! I love the "broken" bottle you fixed, and the fluorescent light, and the desk, (and everything else lol) but my favorite part is the little glass slides for the microscopes. Great attention to detail and so stinking cute!!! Thanks for sharing! :)
Thank you! The idea for the glass slides just popped into my head. If I try to think and plan, I just go blank. I need to actually start making things before I come up with ideas. I end up making it up as I go along.
Well done you! I love everything about this! Some of the most simple things were so clever - like q-tips with packing tape for fluorescent light bulbs.
I recently retired from 40+ happy years working in a medical lab. I have also enjoyed visting many museums with displays of vintage medical equipment. You have created a charming mini-scenario and, to me, the details of your reproductions are dead-on. Though it feels like an "old home" to me, I think most will find it to be creepily fascinating. I am new to the world of miniatures and have just begun learning about how they are created. One of my retiement plans is to remodel an old dollhouse into a woodland home. If you have time to answer a few questions, I would appreciate your replies. How do you stretch your imagination to design your realistic scenarios? Where you look for inspiration in developing your visions into a tangible masterpieces? What are four or five basic tools that you would recommend for someone getting started with miniatures (assuming that supplies such as paint, brushes, tweezers, cardboard, glues are already on hand.)
That's great! I love the idea of making a dollhouse into a woodland home. For inspiration, I Google images to get ideas. 4 or 5 things I'd recommend: miter shears, a craft knife, wood glue in a precision tip bottle (for adding dimension and gluing), 123 machining blocks or something else that's small & heavy, and small sharp scissors. I really don't use many special tools.
what a beautiful work of art small details in to it not everyone is perfect as you it's amazing things seem to look real I just love the way it's turned out
I love this, it looks so realistic. It's amazing all the details you put in to this..I also am a big fan of Bentley house mines. Ara is also very talented.
My favorite part was when you said "I am really pleased with how gross it looks" lmao how funny. I love it. It is enjoyable to listen and watch what you make. Thanks for sharing have a wonderful day
Ongelofelijk zo realistisch dit is! Ik ben zelf 2maanden geleden begonnen met het verouderen van een modelschip, van deze video heb ik weer een aantal nieuwe technieken geleerd! Thank you.
I love how this turned out and you showed some really great techniques! My questions is, what is the nature of this abandoned lab? Was it a medical research lab? Chemical? I think a poster on the wall would look nice. Maybe the periodic table or anatomical diagram of some type? Possibly a pair of old broken eye glasses, coffee cup or old lab coat hanging on a hook. Something to suggest the actual scientist that worked there? I know you weren’t asking for suggestions but I like to read the comments on things I like for ideas and other peoples perspectives on stuff so thought I’d add my thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing your work. This is the first video of yours I have seen and I’ll be definitely checking out your other stuff. I also love that you talk and explain things while you work. Makes it good to have playing while I’m crafting to listen to.
If you're looking for a great accompanying story to a build, you need to check out this RUclipsr I discovered a couple weeks ago. ruclips.net/video/JhGT93vovMI/видео.html As for my project, I do wish I had a good accompanying story. I like the idea of adding something more personal to suggest the scientist who worked there. It's funny you should mention a coffee cup since I just made mugs from paper in my latest video. I should add one of them to scene. Thank you!

Thank you so much! The tiny pinecones were given to me by a friend who knows I make miniatures. They're too big for 1:12 scale but they make great leaf scatter.
You are very amazing..very talented ...very creative keep up ...God bless your gift..❤

Your attention to detail is 🤯. I enjoyed watching you create every item in this video. The end result was amazing.

Wow!!!! Absolute genius!! Such talent! 🥰🥰
Thank you, thank you!
You're very talented,I love the ceiling that has some roots on it.
Thank you :) I am really happy with how that turned out.

I made another video for this project with final details.
Thank you.
Wow, thank you! That's such a cool comment. Have fun creating.
The way the bottles are made.....OMG! This is fabulous! Thank you for the video.
Thank you Whitney! I probably should've made a broken one somewhere. I may need to make a new video adding details to this one. This is why you say projects are never really done.
@@queencityminis that is exactly why I saw that! lol
OMG this is incredible. Spell binding to watch. What an amazing job!!

Just watched it. I love how other people's input ads to your creativity. I am just blown away by this. Love it!!@@queencityminis
OMG the way your mind works. The tings you think of are awesome. I absolutely love the test tube holder. Never would have thought of that. Just wonderful!
Thank you so much! I initially had a more complicated plan involving an aluminum foil tray so I'm glad I simplified it.
You’re so talented! Thank you💜💜💜
Thank you very much :)

You have to check out my Steampunk build! This was such a fun one
@@queencityminis I beat you to it! I viewed that shortly after this video. Loved it too!

Thank you so much! I actually did one final video after this one, and I love how it turned out!
Love all the details and those glass slides are a perfect touch ❤

1st time viewer and I must say, this is absolutely fantastic!! Every thing from the dust bunnies, to the ceiling damage to the sink, slides etc..is phenomenal. You make amazing art!
Welcome aboard! Thank you so much! I really enjoy the details.
Thank you!! I was given an old grimy printers tray and wanted to fill it with vintage looking miniatures. This video has given me so many ideas!! You do really beautiful work.
That sounds so cool! Have fun
Loving the gothic vibes. Amazing job!
Thank you 😊
This is beautifully done, I love the combination of techniques you used. Thanks so much for sharing!
My pleasure! Thank you
It looks great. Because it is a wet environment I would maybe add some green moss too.
That would be cool! Good idea. I added some in the sink but some more on the floor would make sense.

For an abandoned places this lab is very pretty and atmospheric ☺️ I enjoyed watching you make it very much, and I love your calm way of explaining what you do.
Thank you for sharing
My pleasure! Thank you very much
Really cool! Favorite part was the desk. All the little details on it really brought the scene to life. Kinda feel like there was a missed opportunity with the broken microscopes to put one on the floor like it had fallen off the broken shelf and cracked when it hit the floor.
Definitely! I actually have more microscopes. I'll need to add one. Thank you
I don’t think you missed a thing! So amazing!❤

Wow, just wow! So very cool! If you want to age the lightbulbs, you can use alcohol inks, same for cabinet windows. I’m in awe, truly.

I definitely need to get my hands on some alcohol inks. In the meantime, I mix rubbing alcohol into acrylic paint to sustain me.
Great idea! More thrifty, I love it!
So cool! Reference books, periodic table, Bunsen burner…
I love that!

The polyfil also looks like cob webs... Perfect addition👌🏾
Thank you! I've used a dryer sheet to make cobwebs. It's great. So strong.
@@queencityminis that's a great idea too🤯💡👍🏾

I appreciate that 😊

I made another video with even more details :) This is the final video.
Oh my goodness! I ran a hematology lab for 14 years. This is fabulous!
Thank you! I've never even set foot in a lab aside from high school. I'm glad it's making people nostalgic.
I really don't use many special tools.
what a beautiful work of art small details in to it not everyone is perfect as you it's amazing things seem to look real I just love the way it's turned out
Thank you very much! I appreciate that :)
your welcome

Absolutely! Make sure you check out the Abandoned Coffee Shop project she did. It's amazing.

Wow you did an Amazing job, absolutely love all facets of this project, well done 👏
Thanks so much! 😊
My favourite part was the dust bunnies! Great build!🐇
Thank you! Next time I plan to dye the fiber with watered down paint first so it's a little gray. I'm always experimenting.
Ongelofelijk zo realistisch dit is! Ik ben zelf 2maanden geleden begonnen met het verouderen van een modelschip, van deze video heb ik weer een aantal nieuwe technieken geleerd!
Thank you.
That sounds so cool! I'm glad you're learning techniques to use on your model ship
Absolutely amazing! I have subscribed because I have loved miniatures for 70 years. I can’t wait to see more!
❤ SayessDesign
That's amazing! I'm glad you subscribed. Welcome 😊
If you're looking for a great accompanying story to a build, you need to check out this RUclipsr I discovered a couple weeks ago. ruclips.net/video/JhGT93vovMI/видео.html
As for my project, I do wish I had a good accompanying story. I like the idea of adding something more personal to suggest the scientist who worked there. It's funny you should mention a coffee cup since I just made mugs from paper in my latest video. I should add one of them to scene. Thank you!
Love your attention to detail and love the way I can see the story being told with every mindfulness piece being put in.
Thank you so much!
It’s so realistic 😮
Amazing techniques you use
I’m inspired to try them
Thank you so much 😀 have fun!
