I like the way they colorized old footage of the Brooklyn Paramount theater from the Alan Freed days . Even the cop riding horseback. I've seen this original footage in a documentary, American Hot Wax and La Bamba.
I agree, i think they did an awesome job on picking Brian Setzer, to portrait as Eddie Cochran the man is amazing it's because of Brain that I've been playing for over 20 years thank you Brian!
paid so little Johnny Cash famously tore up a $$75,000 check in a bank cause the bank didn't have enough cash, to give to him, to cash it. Average home price was like $ 9,000. Brand new Vette was 2,500
Super.Chuck Well Johnny Cash was a big name also he was probably big by then, a good example would be Sun Era Elvis as he did not get a lot of money when travelled but once he went to RCA and released Heartbreak Hotel he became a millionaire.
I can't believe I was 8 years old when I saw this at the theater! Had an absolute blast and how I wish I could visit the past to experience it just one more time!
eddie cochrann was brians idol, even though brian was born 2 years before eddie was killed. the guitar is the same that eddie cochran used its a gretschg612oec.
+Todd Bates Thanks for the info. Loved Cochran and Brian did him justice. He a fantastic guitarist, singer and performer. Talk about a STYLE.... I'm sure Eddie would have approved.:o)
This performance should have green lit an Eddie Cochran biopic in the 80s. Setzer would be too old to do it now, but could you imagine how great that biopic could have been? It would have been up there with this one.
THIS GUITAR WHAT USED BRIAN SETZER IS THE USED FOR EDDIE COCHRAN IN SOME OF YOU SONGS AND THE MOTHER OF EDDIE COCHRAN GIFT THIS GUITAR A BRIAN SETZER WHEN SHE KNOW WHAT BRIAN IS FAN OF YOU SON IS ONE HONOR FOR BRIAN SETZER HAVE ONE ICONIC GUITAR OF ROCKABILLY SALUTED FROM PUERTO CORTES HONDURAS
i really like Setzer's version of this song. Much better than the original. It was like Setzer re wrote this song and made it his very own. Setzer's the man!!
"I'm gonna take two weeks, gonna have a fine vacation I'm gonna take my problem to the United Nations Well,I called my congressman and he said, quote: I'd like to help you, son, but you're too young to vote. Sometimes I wonder what I'ma gonna do but there ain't no cure for the summertime blues. Yeah! I said there ain't no cure for the summertime blues!"
@pel123459 ---- You're right. I did live in those days, and I participated. Most people went throgh the era in a mindless fog, just like they do today. Those few of us who were alive and conscious had a ball !!
Brian was the PERFECT person to cast for this role. There is simply nobody else on Earth who could have fit better.
Yeah!
I agree 💯
I like the way they colorized old footage of the Brooklyn Paramount theater from the Alan Freed days . Even the cop riding horseback. I've seen this original footage in a documentary, American Hot Wax and La Bamba.
And I would call it shitty
Setzer did a great job on that one of my favorite parts of the movie.
My favorite too. Its so short I just wanted more.
I agree, i think they did an awesome job on picking Brian Setzer, to portrait as Eddie Cochran the man is amazing it's because of Brain that I've been playing for over 20 years thank you Brian!
Agreed. He's an incredible talent.
It's great that Brian Setzer keeps Eddies music alive!

Eddie Cochran couldn't have a better tribute than this one!
Brian Setzer is great!
Просто 5+ 👍
La Bamba is a great movie!
Summertime Blues is a great song!
Eddie Cochran... The role Brian Setzer was destined to play.
Exactly. Eddie Cochran was to Brian Setzer as Walt Whitman was to Ginsberg--a spiritual father.
Jackson Begleypo
Jackson Begley are u seriously man
What an electrifying song and moment in the movie! Yesssss!!!
The fact that Brian played Eddie is the best fact in history of rockabilly, of ton up... in history of everything!
I was starting to feel the summertime blues 😞 but then started watching this awesome movie. Music is medicine 🎶💝☺
artists then got paid so little, and they worked hard on the road, it was a tough life harder than anyone today can imagine
paid so little Johnny Cash famously tore up a $$75,000 check in a bank cause the bank didn't have enough cash, to give to him, to cash it.

Artists these days were paid close to 0... because limited live access and The Goddamned steaming services
I love Setzer's version of this great song. It's so full of respect for Cochran's version yet cool in the modern way.
I can't believe I was 8 years old when I saw this at the theater! Had an absolute blast and how I wish I could visit the past to experience it just one more time!
Nobody else alive plays guitar like Setzer. Long live the guitar King.... x
As perfectly cast a role if ever there was one.

The most awesome thing I've ever seen.
I love La Bamba and all the songs in it.. its a good movie
It's sad that Eddie Cochran died to young as well (in a car crash).😭😭
I heard Eddie Cochran took the deaths of his good friends Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper really bad.
Charley Dowd wait what mna
He died a year after Richie, Buddy, and the Big Bopper.
rocknroll's an addiction... truer words were never spoken
Absolutely love that ... God I wish I was alive in those days :(
I'm pretty sure they just told Brian Setzer just to be himself for a little bit when they filmed this XD
Well Eddie Cochran was one of Brian's biggest inspirations.

The pick ups are wrong for the ec. The neck pick up was different.it was a p 90 pick up not t,v jones.
I saw Brian in concert best concert ever
brian setzer is awesome
Lou Diamond Phillips wasn't acting there. I would also have a panic attack if I had to play guitar after Brian Setzer.
He didn’t actually play the guitar for the La Bamba scene. He didn’t actually sing either
3w w fx133ww232222q1@@artymunoz5060
@@artymunoz5060He did actually play guitar for all the scenes but they replaced it with Los Lobos’ playing.
every movie is good if brian setzer is in it

Homer: Mr. Seltzer?
Brian: Setzer.
Homer: No, I believe it's Seltzer.
Josh Lopez I like that episode
It's the best rendering or, at least, one of the best renderings of this historic rock 'n' roll tune by Cochran.
Setzer is amazing. Nuff said.
The guitar was my favorite when I was little.
Man, that cat can ROCK!!.. and he can rock this Kitten any time ;-)

It was like Setzer re wrote this song and made it his very own. Setzer's the man!!
"I'm gonna take two weeks, gonna have a fine vacation
