Brian Setzer was a good choice in being picked to play the legend Eddie Cochran because Brian was influenced by Eddie Cochran growing up and playing the guitar which is an honour for Brian to portrait Eddie in the La Bamba film and Brian did a fantastic job. Bridn Setzer is a legend in his own rights. A great singer/songwriter. Love u Brian. ❤
No, you've spelled his name wrong - it's E L V I S. Eddie Cochran was a great rock n roll artist, but he was nowhere near being 'The King' That title is reserved for one person alone. - the only king of rock n roll. Don't argue about it, you'll only make yourself look silly.
Cuz he's Brian Setzer not Eddie Cochran. You can be inspired by someone, you don't have to be that someone. Everyone should stay true to themselves, but you can tell who influences all the music magic!
@@marlenakitten yeah.. it's great to be inspired by someone and want to emulate them.., but it's also good to be yourself and have your own personality🤘
@@thurmanmerman2720 I know 💓 I think why they had him play Eddie in La Bamba was just cuz at the time people knew Eddie was Brian’s biggest influence, & Brian would play him the best & most respectfully, & having him in the movie maybe would get the movie more publicity. I definitely see Brian & not Eddie, but he had the baggy suit & he did the Eddie moves. All still so cool. Plus he covered the song himself so it’s Brians voice in the movie which I think is cool. No one can do Eddie like Eddie. A lot of movies get details of icons a bit wrong but the thought is still there. 💕
Don't talk bullshit. Brian Setzer is as proficient on the guitar as Cochran was, if not more so. So someone pays tribute to their hero and you feel the need to insult them? He's never tried to be a tribute act, thank god. Besides, Setzer and Cochran pale into complete insignificance compared to Elvis, so shove that in your pipe and smoke it.
I imagine Brian was over the moon getting to play Eddie in La Bamba ! He was a perfect choice and always reminded me of Eddie.
Such a shame that Eddie Cochrane, Richie Valens and Buddy Holly didn't live longer. They still had years of music left in them.
for real..oh the many more songs and music we could’ve gotten blessed with, they were so amazing, so underrated, but never forgotten 💓🎵
Eddie was the greatest!
Eddy was my Idol since i was 6 years old ,beneath Jonny Cash, Buddy, Jean ...and Brian is a special who bring them back again !
@@JohnnyWackler yesss Eddie is my guardian angel
For the short few year he is a legend

The first part the interview was on Cool Cats 25 years of rock and roll style. But not all of the interview.
Aye he,s a Class Act Eddie Cochran 🎸⭐🙏🏻.🏴✝️💪🏻⚽🍻👍🏻.
My name is Ian coughlin. My dad's brother was Eddie. Eddie Coughlin in the 50 , bet he could get a date. Hey am Eddie Coughlin 😂
Eddie is the KING ❤

@@joeblack8915Eddie Cochran wrote better music and invented the power cord on the electric guitar. Elvis was a better dancer though.
If Elvis was the king, Eddie was the emperor
Rock'n'Roll never die......😊😊😊😊
Great❤
❤❤❤❤😎 🎸👊
AGREED
Ever notice really great people mostly die young
Il n’est pas du tout à la hauteur du maître.
I'm surprised he gets to play Eddie Cochran but he doesn't play the same guitar Eddie Cochran played Nor does he remotely act like him

@@marlenakitten Atomic Flash is specifically talking about Brian's cameo in La Bamba where he plays Eddie, not Brian's stage persona in general.

This guy is not even close to being as talented as Eddie Cochran. Not even close.
Eddie is the one & only. Brian honors him well though. No comparison 🫶🏻

Agreed ….. though Brian has never been a slouch
So!
idk why this edit has so many views I made it for fun lol 🙈😹😭🫶🏻
Because Eddie Cochran is a legendary rock n roll figure, and Brian Setzer was the chosen one to carry out his legacy embodying it to his own
