Totally steals the show just by his presence and energy AND is humble enough to let the others on stage do their thing. My family watched Town Hall Party on local LA tv in the 50's. One night our mom took me and my sister to a live show. She knew I liked the Collins Kids. I was like 6 years old so I thought it was cool because they were young too. Larry wrote "Delta Dawn" and remained active in music along with his sister Lorrie (RIP). Never made it as big as they should have though.

    • @jameshepburn4631
      @jameshepburn4631 2 года назад +4

      The bass guitar Joe Maphis is playing is a Hofner, not a Gibson. It is Hofner's "violin bass" which was the only model sold in America by the German company at that time. It was distributed by a small importer in New Jersey and you had to know enough to ask for one. A few years later Paul McCartney with the Beatles made Hofners known around the world and they got big league distribution for all their models in the U.S. which continues to this day. A vintage Hofner Violin Bass sells for about ,$2,500 to $3,000 (US) in 2022.
