I’m still running in the first version of this shoe! I get 400 miles with plenty of rubber on the bottom to spare. Good workhorse type of shoe!

Went down half a size with Solar Glide 19, 3 and 4 as they are roomy. Fit perfectly once you get the right size. Don't see them as lifestyle shoes as I run 40-50km per week in them.

They’re absolutely running shoes. Boost gets hate for no reason other than “being heavy”.

I don't understand why everyone is obsessed with the weight of the shoes if 99% of the running time is spent on slower training paces!?
Ultraboost midsole is still the best, but the problem is, Adidas can't utilize it in a proper way.

This shoe will work for the average recreational runner! These guys are just being snobby!

If you can get a max cushion shoe for two ounces less with similar comfort and durability... well, that matters, no?

    • @MiracleWarriors
      @MiracleWarriors 2 года назад +3

This shoe should be as durable as the Ultraboost 22. And also very bouncy.
The Boost these days are not as soft as it used to be and that is a plus. The outsole last longer because the less ground contact time and the amazing stability with that plastic plate thing.
The Gel-Nimbus 24 and probably as well the new Saucony Triumph are way too soft and that make us waste energy when running ... In the end the weight reduction was not worth when, for me, I can run longer and faster with the UB22 versus a Gel-Nimbus 23 ( the 24th is even softer) that weight considerable less .

    • @Alexandre-Rad

@@Believeintherun It matters if I race, but if I train I prefer heavier shoes to build more stamina plus lighter shoes with similar comfort and durability are always much pricier, on top of that, there are many heavier shoes that are much easier to run in than in lighter ones.

Back in the day - as in 2013-14 - somewhere in that era when Boost was THE sh*t, I found that episode of the Solar glide to be the absolute best possible long-run shoe to have ever existed. It just clomped along comfortably forever. It appears as though the rest of the world has moved on and the Solar Boost has not.

Adidas knew exactly who they wee targetting when they put out this shoe. A kindof "in-between" shoe. More than a "lifestyle" shoe but not quite a true "runner" shoe. With some stablity thrown in. Kinda surprised they haven''t made a version of htis sue with Adidas' premir foam. Or have they? I don't think the Ultraboost line is it.
Also....Adidas had a SolarBoost line...with reflective 3M strips on the 3-stripes. They should use that more often in more if not all their lines. Maybe as a choice. As I'm sure many runners will run into the night. If not.....at night. Of course one could buy 3M reflective tape.....

Brandon, can you speak properly? Your accent sounds forced. You started off well and then it went south.
Other than that, I like the review but a feedback - because your feet is narrow, you went one size down and thereafter complained that the shoe doesn't fit well. That's the issue - this shoe is intended for wide feet. You're just not cut out for it.

I recently tried through 4 Adidas shoes in multiple sizes. Solarglide, Takumi Sen, Adizero Adios and the new Terrex Agravic ultra 299.
I am gonna be honest here. They might be great shoes for some of the runners, however if you had a natural feet with straight toes, if you had wide feet, if you had toes that are kind of equally long giving you a sort of squared feet, Adidas shoes will be unusable for you. Your big toes are hanging in the air and you are pushing on the textile despite you got 1.3cm of toe gap, your 3rd and 4th toes are jacked to the inner side of the shoe and the pinky toe is pushed in.
These are really for very narrow feet and even in this case very exact sizing is necessary.
I will give a final chance to the 240 Terrex Speed Ultra as in it's short lifetime I already hear legends about this shoe. From overhead pictures it seems like a bit less narrow with a straighter big toe line and slightly rounder toebox.

Same thing with most nikes. I have rather narrow feet but very sensitive toes so I can't wear most of shoes. Try Altra shoes they make natural shaped running shoes. I recently tried shoe reviewed in this video and for adidas it was really wide so also it could be possible for you to have it. Anyways good luck 👍

Another underwhelming offering from Adidas looks like something from the 1990s when i was a big fan of Adidas. Other companies like NB, Saucony etc have over taken them im afraid.

    • @MiracleWarriors

The stability and bounce it has makes up to compensate for the weight. For example, I can run faster and longer with my Ultraboost 22 versus my old Nimbus 23 that is considerable lighter but with a foam way too soft that makes me lose speed and hard to keep it as well.
I just got this Solar Glide 5 and did just one run so far but it totally replaced my Pegasus 38. And the Pegasus used to be nimble and light weight ... the 38 is less heavy then the Solar Glide 5 but lacks the bounce and stability ... I could run better with the Adidas shoe .
The old Boost shoes that were heavy AND too unstable And super soft sucked for running. The "New Boost" shoes are not that bad and are worth for the durability.
