I just bought these on sale, love it mostly but... had the same problem as Robbe; lockdown was a problem. halfway my interval training, had to adjust cause it got looser halfway my training. The ride; loved it. After 5 min I thought Oh yeah wearing new shoes, this is running without thinking about it which I love. Also the arch- you are right , is a tiny bit less present then in the previous versions I agree. Last note; this shoe, the colour you choose will make a different in fit of the upper. Black ones are tighter. For sure.

Loved the 1st version putting in over 400 daily miles and even a few 10Ks up to half marathon races with no heel slippage or issues with higher arch. Liked them so much even bought a 2nd pair of v1's on a crazy $60 sale that are still in the box in my closet so I can break them out down the road when I feel nostalgic. That said, I thought hard about buying V2 but couldn't justify spending the cash on basically the same shoe as V1. Now with the V3 picking up some more weight and being basically the same React mid and outsole, I Im out on this one too with so many other good and lighter daily options for less $ these days! Great review as always and keep up the good work! Cheers!!! #believeintherun

Generally speaking--apart from their Super Shoes--Nike is losing it in the last 3 years. There is nothing in their line, again apart from their Super Shoes, that excites me. New Balance, Saucony, and even ASICS is where it's at.

@@stevestarr9769 React is the perfect workhorse daily training foam. It's bouncy, it gets better with time, it's incredibly durable, far more than any EVA-based foam could ever be. It does have extra weight but for a foam that seemingly never dies and still offers a good feel after 400+ miles it's not even a question as to why it's better than nearly every other foam there is in regards to daily trainers.
Nike just has absolute garbage uppers and their outsoles are abysmal compared to the likes of Saucony. There isn't another training foam that compares aside from FF blast(+) in the sense of durability.

The infinity series is probably my favourite easy day shoe. I too fell in love with the React foam because of the Epic React (I still have one in the cupboard although it's close to threadbare now). The reason that I am not buying the series anymore is the price. I have since switched to the 1080 series. I would go back to Nike if they sold it at the Pegasus price range. I do like the no nonsense ride with a wonderful rocker.

I just cannot understand Nike‘s approach to running shoes theses days. It happened with the Terra Kiger from the 5 to the current version, it gains weight and they go away from a show that worked (except for the outsole but they haven‘t improved it). And the same with the React, I loved the Epic React but why would I make this shoe so much heavier when the original worked?
I went away from Nike as running shoes because they are average these days. They still look awesome but other shoes are nice as well - and are simply better / lighter.

Same here. I’ve been running Terra Kigers and Wildhorse’s since the 5th versions. Every year they have gotten bulkier and and so much more complex. I’m switching to the Saucony Peregrine and Xodus Ultra for my rotation now. At least I’ll get some rubber that actually grips.

Fav shoes epic phantom react! Its epic react but without the need of laces. It was great immediately outside the box too. I run in it until the outsole worn out. Then i got myself infinity react, first few runs causing my foot, ankles & knees hurt. I thought it was promoted as to prevent injuries. The shoes force me to run in certain way, instead of letting me run how i normally run

Epic reacts were light, nimble and looked great on the foot. Slick, stylish with great colorways. That's why I loved them too. But they lacked stability and the outsole was quite slippery. And the foam creased badly. Than came Infinity reacts with better stability, better grip but less versatile look. More like a typical running shoe with cheap looking details. Initially they were quite nimble, but after something like 50 miles the foam mushed up and all I could feel was weight of the shoe. And they made weird squeaky noises. Second iteration was even worse. They felt much heavier and I didn't like the look of them at all. Now I have the 3rd version in my hands and even though I like the colorway (DH5392 102) the overall shape and materials still feel wrong to me. Infinity is more like cheaper (and way worse) version of invincible run than a proper successor of epic react line up.

Why worry too much about shoe weight for a daily trainer? Doesn't this make your legs stronger as the milleage increases? There are plenty of lightweight tempo shoe options when it comes to speed sessions.
I think most of the video reviews here judge a shoe solely by the weight factor.
