I totally agree with y’all on the stack height comment… we’ve forgotten where we have come from shoe wise. This shoe 10 years ago would’ve been THE PERFECT marathon shoes and people would’ve lost their minds.
This shoe/video has me excited about an Adidas shoe for the first time since Boston 9! Best shoe review-dying with your comedy as usual. Thomas over-caffeinated and Robbe needing a defibrillator. Robbie playing guitar with the “plastic straws you could drink a milkshake out of.” You guys are ShoeTube gold.
@roger squires EPIC! Who knew shoe tongue descriptions could be so funny. Thomas’ reference to the Mach SuperSonic’s pulltab…”you could pull a Jeep out of mud with this,” also epic.
Guys - thanks for your reviews. I'm a long time ON fan boy, the Cloud Flow has been my go to daily trainer for a while. I've raced in the Cloud Boom which I like. However, i wanted something different for longer faster paced runs and wasn't go to pay for the Cloud Boom Echo plus ON's recent offerings (Monster and Cloud Go have not impressed me). I came across this review and did some more research. Ordered a pair of these and man! What a shoe! (once I got the damn laces dialed in of course), nice firm(ish) ride, (I don't like soft) and a one hell of a pop from those rods and that foam. Taken these to a Half Marathon now and I feel they could go much longer, a really cool looking, versatile shoe that just works. Keep up the great work.
Two things homies: 1- being from New Orleans, the Louisiana Marathon and Crescent City Classic are two of the best races Louisiana have to offer with hands down the best post race party you will ever experience 2- it's great to hear that the TS8 is a great investment and alternative to those runners who are not fans of tall stackheight shoes. Thanks for the review gents 👍
Hi guys and Believe in run from 🇪🇸. Wonderful review. I dont knew nothing this Adidas model shoes . Here mi like. A nice weekend for everyone. ☀️🏃♂️☀️
You guys are amazing! Where other shoe-tubers tend to lose that "X-Factor" and attention (sadly...), you guys keep posting better and better videos, it's fun to watch, relatable content, killer quality and beautiful thumbnails! Keep pushin'!!! :)
Louisiana Marathon is one of my all-time favorites!! Highly recommend. Great fast course and friendly pacers - plus the post-race fare can’t be beat. PS just ordered the 8s; thanks for a great review!
Unfortunately after only 150 km I noticed a hole on the upper, in right shoe right where my big toe is. I bough them on discount but I never had a pair where the upper was destroyed after so little use
Would you guys recommend this also as a longer tempo run shoe (runs just in excess of an hour?). My endorphin speeds tend to bottom out at the end of the run in the forefoot/midfoot.
Is it only me that feels the midfoot is narrow on these shoes? My size is US 9.5 for all my shoes but Takumisen 8 feels different in the midfoot, so I think I should return it
I'd probably size up and worst case you may have to change up your lacing style or just tie them a bit tighter. I'd always opt for a little too much room than too little
I’ve been thinking of getting a pair of Sen 8’s but have heard conflicting info on sizing. I have a size 9.5 US in the Adios 6 which gives me a perfect lockdown. I previously wore the Boston 9, but felt like the toe box was a little too wide for my more narrow foot and caused the heel to slip some. Would you recommend going with a size 9.5 or 9? Thanks for the great content and honest reviews.
We wore the same size in both adios and takumi... if you're really not sure, just order two pair from running warehouse (link in the description), try them on at home and send one back
Im between the takumi zen 8 and the endorphine pro 2 for longer runs at marathon paces around 4:15 km/min, but also for track speed sesions. Wich one do you recommend me? Prices: Takumi $100 USD Endorphine pro $130 USD It will be really nice if you anwering ASAP, today is the last day of this prices.
Takumi all the way, Adios is a very good shoe, but the Takumi kicks it up a notch. It's faster, lighter, more nimble and for me at least i really feel the propulsive effect. These are really fast, fun shoes I love them. But as said you need to fiddle with the lacing.
If some one was "efficient" they'd "crush it" in 22mm shoes : "Flats" ...or 25mm (hee) shoes. IMHO it's about conditioning, leg/core strength, proper form...etc. the "shoe" is the last part of the equation....just happens the trend today is "high stack height w/ carbon plate" for marathoning....no one NEEDs that....it's just more $ for the companies....if they can get runners to "BELIEVE in...."..
It could be the fastest shoe on planet heart but for my taste is horrible (and too expensive). I don’t want to be a hater, love your channel guys, only my opinion☝️😅

robbie earned his salary with that stitched in tongue line!

UPS just dropped these off while I was watching this video lol
They feel great in foot👍
it really performs well, very fast and light,i would go a half size down when buying it
I like mine too.
the question is: how does it compare to the adios 6, since you haven't test that one yet.
These guy arw the perfect salesman and adidas spokesperson

Agree, the Takumi rocks! First shoe ever that both my partner and I love 😁

Pretty please an extended run if the Grit t shirts for overseas runners
You guys rock. Wonderful review
How was the fit? And can you speak on the stability?
Fit needs to be dialed in but once you have it, it's great. Stability not great, but it's a superfoam so...
Louisiana Marathon is one of my all-time favorites!! Highly recommend. Great fast course and friendly pacers - plus the post-race fare can’t be beat. PS just ordered the 8s; thanks for a great review!
we need a comparison video between this and vaporfly!!
I like an Altra-sized toe box so this "dart" probably isn't the shoe for me. Sounds fun though!
It actually has a wider toe box than Adidas's other shoes
Great review. I think I'm gonna test it
Unfortunately after only 150 km I noticed a hole on the upper, in right shoe right where my big toe is. I bough them on discount but I never had a pair where the upper was destroyed after so little use
I race in the adidas adizero pro 3 but have issues with turns. How does the Takumi compare to the Pro 3? Better on turns? Same energy return? Thanks.
great review
Do a between two shoes with this and the Speed.
Good idea, we'll line it up
My fav shoe of 2021! Totally agree with Thomas !
How is it compared to the RC elite v1? Comparable specs.
Low energy Robbie is funny as hell :-)
Would you guys recommend this also as a longer tempo run shoe (runs just in excess of an hour?). My endorphin speeds tend to bottom out at the end of the run in the forefoot/midfoot.
Between 2 shoes:
Takumi vs novabast 3?
Best channel ever.
How’s the sizing for you? Half a size down? True to size?
Thomas felt it was true to size, Robbe felt he could go a half size down
Is it only me that feels the midfoot is narrow on these shoes? My size is US 9.5 for all my shoes but Takumisen 8 feels different in the midfoot, so I think I should return it
Sooo Vaporfly 2 or Takumi Sen 8?
Takumi
WHOAAAA! News 🚨 How would Robbe answer?
I am seriously thinking about messing with these.., as they has been a very friendly price drop on a few websites.
The rods are made with some amount of carbon fiber per official adidas specs.
“Some amount” like a sprinkling of fairy dust.
@@Believeintherun 🧚♂️✨👟 magic!
that mustache man, its heavier than the shoes, hehehe
It's a beast of burden
I think the energy rods are made out of Fiber glass
the go to for reviews
Sizing compared to adidios 4 ? Length?
Hi. I want to run 1000 mts under 3:00. My weigh is 87 kgs. Takumi is nice for that or what you prefer? Thanks
Can you recommend this shoe for long distance run? Like marathon
Revisiting this before grabbing the tin man colorway - thoughts vs the streakfly?
Both are superb
So... if this made it to the list, will this be the SOTY for 2021 then? The ONE shoe for 2021?
“WHO DAT SAY GON BEAT DEM SAINTS, WHO DAT!!!
Best Cajun saying...Laissez Les Bontemps Rouler, which means "Let The Good Times Roll".
Love that
Is there enough heel padding?
How many miles do you think I could get from this shoe?
300
Was excited until I tried to find a size 14... 😠
I have never worn adidas. I wear 12.5 in my shoes . This is either 12 or 13. What size would I get
I'd probably size up and worst case you may have to change up your lacing style or just tie them a bit tighter.
I'd always opt for a little too much room than too little
True to size?? I've read that the toebox runs long.
Mine were good in my regular size. -T
I felt they ran a bit long - R
@@Believeintherun did you stay TTS?
So not recommended for wider foot runners? Do they have wide foot options?
Not that we are aware of.

What's better for speed work--Adios 6 or Takumi? Takumi stack height seems like it wouldn't be ideal for it.

lol, low-energy Robbie code for high Robbie
Gonna go watch human centipede
😬

Strange, no small size options. Not made for women?
Unisex
Human centipede hahaha.
