Very cool watching now, since it was uploaded 8 years ago. Seems like any car can be built to go fast now days, but it takes a lot of time and dedication to the platform to make it perform on track. Mad respect. Coming from me now.
It’s a very cool #NewEdge Roush❤️ Love this car!
New edge just looks so good lowered
Everything looks good lowered... besides 4x4 trucks, lol.
@@nedaCFilms_A dropped cateye single cab silvy cammed literally looks good._
I love this style of mustang. And seeing it on track is great.
sounds like classic NASCAR.....WOW who needs a radio when your car sounds like this....just once before I die I want to get on a track....dreams.....
Bad ass, man! My 96 Cobra needs this suspension setup!
did you ever end up doing it? I have a 2001 thinking of swapping to IRS
@@Fizzorthis Roush isn’t IRS. You can build a solid axle to perform, the trick is a well dialed in Watts Link, that’s what this car is running. It’s also lighter than an IRS setup.
Sounds great
Mustangs all the way! nice vids
Thanks for checking them out.... appreciated!
No problem man!
Bad ass Stang!! Looks centered and comfy on that track. The throaty 4.6 is screaming through those apex turns. Roush stage 3 puts down 330ish? Wow... Not bad, but I expected maybe a tad more. Most boosted set ups revolve around 330- 365rwhp. Safely.
I seen others with 400+ that always end up with something broken. So I got a Vortec V1 type S (whistle city lol) built Tremec T45 Magnum with 38 spline. Full suspension set up, ford racing. 4 high flow catalytic converters. Yes. 4. Sounds ridiculous with the V1 supercharger. (Amazing sound)
Flowmaster super 44 series. 3" piping of course. Custom Tunes from Carbcon.com - making 420 rwhp 380 ft lb torque. 10lbs of boost. Lined for 100shot. 1999GT. Continential extreme contaxts wrapped around Cobra R rims. Carbon fiber hood. Centerforce Bellhousing stage 3 clutch. Custom Intake fabricated 4" plenum to a gigantic KnN intake head. 2 holes bored into it instead of the one. TrickFlow throttlebody./intake manifold. Ima make ms.ellie mamba a meth head. I want meth lol.
Meth meth meth!! Built right. The only Issue I had was the BoV caused me to die at idle. So I removed it. I think I need a recirculating instead of vent to atmosphere.
Nice build
I purpose built suspension makes 300hp feel like 500hp around the track lol
MUSTANG NATION
Awesome awesome awesome, absolutely fantastic!
Thanks man!
99-04 Mustangs “new edge are like the American Porsche 911’s.
I have a 2003 stage 3, rather enjoyed this
+The1stGunner That's what it's here for.... glad you dig it!
This is it I'm buying another one
it did my heart good to see it walk by that silver beetle.
Very expensive beetle lol.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there a bit of understeer with that mustang?
I like this year
American Muscle
Where u get that spoiler from sir !!!
Steeda
seriously underated platforms
Great Job!!!
always enjoy your videos!
Thanks bud!
nice
65elcamino283 Thanks for watching!
That thing is sick!
Love the new edge,that noise
Did they swap our the rear end for a IRS?? If not, how does it handle the track with the live axle?
Nope, it's a live axle with Griggs GR40 suspension components. a proper built live axle with watts link or even just adjustable pan-hard rod handles just as well (or better depending on driver) as IRS and actually the live axle is lighter. Those old SVT Cobra IRS rears had extremely heavy and bulky IRS. This car has the full Griggs GR40 suspension and brakes and is an absolute monster on the track. He was still learning the car during this vid, his track times are far superior these days. I have a video on here of "Mustang Don's GR40 equipped 5.0 Coyote powered Mustang" which has the Griggs built live axle and every HPDE Trackdaze event he has guys coming up to him in the Paddock asking what the heck he has for suspension lol. Also look up the video on RUclips titled "GR40 Cobra Mustang at Virginia City" ....it's a 1998 SVT Cobra convertible with full Griggs GR40 setup, and it is a freaking beast lol. You must watch that vid, you will never doubt a properly setup live axle rear again lol. People that talk trash about the live axle just don't know. They simply hear other people bash the live axle and assume. They can handle amazing with good geometry.
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply! Here I was thinking I had to get rid of my live axle to track my mustang. Thanks again!
0 body roll ... awesome!
Wouldn’t say zero, but yes very impressive sus
God bless Merica and no place else
You sir are a real American!!!
Cool vid!!
sounds great tho
What exhaust was this and was it a 2v?
@@silversixcreations Roush 3 Mustang with full Griggs Racing GR40 World Challenge Suspension and Griggs 4on4 brakes. Engine has stock bottom end 2V with Roush-installed Eaton supercharger and intercooler, Kooks long tube headers with custom X-pipe into straight through Dynomax race bullet mufflers, and exits out the side, and produces 335hp (at the wheels) and weighs just over 3,200lbs. The car was built by Performance Autosport in Virginia and Don Rostitch (aka Mustang Don)
Looks like you changed your Tire/Wheel setup from last time...What your new Tire/Wheel Setup and sizes (front & rear)your're using now? Also can you turn your front Tires/Wheels Lock to Lock without hitting the inner fender wells? Thanks and God Bless!
David, I still have the Forgelines from the original build. I elected to add a set of BBS Wheels (18x9) as a second set of track wheels. I tend to run RA-1s and have a set of R888s for back-up and/or wet tires. I did add steering limiters to the rack to avoid rubbing the wheel wells.
I’m curious as to what mods you have done.
It's stock Stage 3 Roush with Griggs GR40 suspension & brakes. I have another up-close video with more details on the channel.
MustangTown / V8Ponycars thanks man I’m going to check it out. I’m switching up my build and looking into a Kenne bell. Your car impressed me. I can’t even get that performance out of my V2 supercharger.
If this is the same car I think it is then it's a actually championship winning car.
In it's class
@@dustinontaiyabbi5608 🙄 duh. 🤦🏻. Every car on the track, win or loose is “In it’s class”. And the classes generally are just power to weight ratio, so yes it could be in a class with a Porsche, or Subaru, or any number of cars depending on the modifications
Do you still have any contact with the owner? I'd be interested to hear what his experiences were with cutting that heat extractor into the hood, considering doing that myself.
+Tyler Rogers This Roush 3 was built by Performance Autosport in Richmond, Virginia. "Mustang Don" (aka: Mustang Don's Garage) did all the work on it. It is very simple to do this yourself though. Where are you located?
I'm in the metro Detroit area, about 30 minutes from Ford Dearborn and Roush's facilities. I've done a lot of research on the extractor and have found that not all cobra hoods have the two horizontal slots beneath the plastic "vent" piece.
has anyone done a 5.1 all motor stroker kit on a 4.6, and is it worth it.I have a 5.0 -stroker on my 4.6 set up for boost but never got around to it.
I didn't hear the supercharger whine tho.sounds badass tho
Lino Acuna it's not going to scream like a pullied Eaton, Whipple or Kenne Bell blower.
What, blow is on the car tho am just curious
Svt-Mustang lifestyle it's the factory Roush 3 blower....
2v or 4v and what's rwhp numbers? Car sounds great what mufflers are on that new edge
+Kyle Adolph Probably around 330hp to the wheels give or take (I might be wrong though) and it has Dynomax Race Bullets for mufflers.
2V motor. I think its about 300 or so to the wheels....
@@mrpinksvo85 Went by that porsche way too easily to just rock 300rwhp.
Where is this track located?
+Brett Arsenault This is Summit Point Motorsports Park, located in Summit Point, West Virginia.... just a few minutes across the state line from Virginia (the very tip top of northern Virginia) ...and bout an hours drive west from Washington, D.C. and probably around 4-5 hours from VIR.
Where can I find that rear spoiler? Plz
Steeda
What spoiler is that?
Not certain, but almost looks like a Steeda spoiler...
Sweet new edge Roush 3, Porsche's way too expensive and way overrated, a cult vehicle for the deep-pocket crowd.
I agree with that lol.
what exhaust setup does it have?
+Victor E It has Kooks long tube headers with custom X-pipe into straight through Dynomax race bullet mufflers...
Hello I sent you a pm on your facebook page.I hit the 290rwhp on a sn95 gt40p set up e303 cam with stock computer stock maf and injectors.Where can I send you a quick video?
Not sure if I caught the video or not.... did you send it to the Mustang-Town or Mustang-Town Videos Facebook page? Do you have a clip on RUclips? I'd love to see it!
+Cesar Ortiz Send it to nedaCFilms@gmail.com and I can edit it in my next SN95 comp/montage video!
I got a 01 stage 2 can I make mine this fast?
Stage 3 had a supercharger. Install a supercharger kit on yours and it will be a beast lol.
+nedaCFilms / Mustang-Town Turbo or supercharger?
Was this at Summit Point?
Yes it was lol.
haha I figured after watching a few of your other videos. It seems like youre local to me, kinda surprised you didnt catch my car on the road driving around haha
I have thousands of hours of footage that's never been edited or uploaded so I might very well have captured your car at "some point", not to be confused with "summit point" lol.
haha right on, I havent ran the car at Summit but keep an eye out for an Azure Blue Mach 1. I moved to the Winchester area recently but have lived in NOVA my whole life. Might see ya at a car show some time
What engine does this stang have?
4.6, supercharged by Roush (Stage 3)
@@mrpinksvo85 what kind of 4.6l tho, 2v, 3v, 4v
What kind of wing is that if u don't mind me asking
