This is brilliant. It's 2017, you're eating up the Nurburgring in a 6MT RWD car that has magnetic ride, balanced handling, F1 shift lights and a glorious FPC V8 engine. 5 years ago, if someone gave me that description and told me to guess which new car it describes... I would've never guessed it was a Mustang. Props to Ford for making such a great, visceral machine. I owned an E90 M3 and I've always thought of this as the spiritual successor to that car, from a mechanical perspective.
I agree, the two cars are peas in a pod. The BMW is more luxurious and refined but the 350 is just a batshit insane car. In a world where even the vaunted GT3 has abandoned a true manual transmission the GT350 may be the purest drivers car available today.
This was 8 minutes and 44 seconds of 100% pure, FDA unapproved, spine tingling adrenaline. You can hear the car begging for more, you can feel the engine screaming in joy for being let loose do do what it was built to do... I'm buying one now, this video just sold me.

the microphone on the outside is a fantastic idea. I knew it sounded a bit loud on the inside but I didn't think anything of it. Really gives one hell of a viewing and listening pleasure to hear the car in its full demonic glory

The engine in the GT350 has a flat plane crank like used by European manufacturers such as the Ferrari V8's, which has a completely different sound. This is the European V8 sound, not the American V8 sound.

Work done by Hennessey in Tx, but DBR High Performance (with Lund help) in TN have been dialing it in. It needed tweaks. I only have 2k miles on it but have really fallen in love with the GT350s and the sound/feel plus the nostalgia of the brand. Great video!!

MAHILfilms so I have driven the 350 and there isn’t a whole lot of road noise. It’s a well insulated car. So you really enjoy the engine and exhaust
