- In Star Wars Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker novel, we get many new pieces of information written by Rae Carson. One of which is today's video topic for discussion. Rey sees what Palpatine originally wanted to do with Anakin from the very beginning. Something that Plagueis had failed to do all along with his apprentice, Palpatine.
The dyad in the force is a pathway to many...
I hope we learn more about this dyad.

A force dyad is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be a purer doctrine than The Rule of Two...
Indeed
Wiser words have never been spoken
You know just as well as anyone jedi don’t control the force, the force tells them through the midichlorians what to do and how to use the force. I’m not explaining that perfect but I know you’ve talked about this before. That answers your question. You are overthinking it. They can’t just do anything and everything they want, it’s not how the force works.
I consider the Rise of Skywalker to be an abortion of everything I once loved about the series and I’m sad to see you accepting it so easily.
@@drybitter2650 its because he genuinely loves starwars as do i.. we might not agree with everything they have done with it but you can still find things to love instead of only seeing the faults and complaining about it like everyone else seems to do...
Funny how sith are supposed to be evil and Plagueis had nightmares about Vader like "woah man this is fucked up even for me"
I don't think most Sith in Legends or canon viewed themselves as evil, they just wanted power for themselves no matter the cost, i don't think they cared at all
Lucas said that Palpatine didn't view himself as evil. He meant it when he said, "...and we shall have peace." He felt that the only way of achieving it was through an authoritarian system.
@@sirkayda7205 its that whole "every villain is the hero of their story"

I kind of saw this coming since The Last Jedi introduced this, and the new powers. I wanted much MORE of a payoff, though.
Honestly, it would have been much more interesting for Finn to become the main protagonist. Poe obviously would’ve helped. They present it as Rey becoming the next Jedi but Poe and Finn defeat them. It would’ve filled so many desires to expand on Finns storm trooper story.

Maybe the Dyad portrayed in the movies showed a different illustration of connecting with one another and moving items through the “world between worlds.” Instead of the portals seen in Rebels, the fabrics of each side aren’t planar, but overlapped 🤷🏼♂️
That was my understanding as well. Theirs is a soul that exist as the same but in two different places, so they could be explained to be something similar to how the gates work 🤔
Please send Kathleen your resume
That's the thing I instantly thought of as well. As for the teleporting items, I really wonder how it would work for anything more than items. I feel like it has a mass limit, but then we have Ezra saving Ahsoka with the world between world's.
Perhaps what creates a successful Dyad is the balance of the light and dark in two individuals?
This concept of teleporting objects through the world between worlds is rather what I got out of seeing it in the movie, at least as far a my SW knowledge goes it is what made the most sense in the moment and still does

If a movie studio requires viewer to read a novel or consult another source of media to explain what is happening in the movie, then the movie is a failure. A successful movie is one that is able to stand on its own merit, and is able to explain its contents within the confines of the four walls.

sith arrogance is right.especially when underestimating obi wan.lol.never thought of that.darth maul had the high ground and obi wan pulled off the impossible and anakin probably heard all about it growing up.and he decided to try obi wans legendary move.and obi wan warned him.DONT TRY IT.lol.that is full circle
Obi-Wan used form 4 (Ataru) against Darth Maul and barely won the fight, He learnt the value of patience from that fight, he went on to not only master form 3 (Soresu), the most defensive fighting style, he became known as _the_ master of Soresu, the Obi-Wan that fought maul was completely different (in combat that is) to the one that defeated Anakin/Vader, Anakin's arrogance blinded him to that fact.
wnerk o: maybe Darth Maul had orders not to kill Obi-wan.
I think Lucas reasoned, that Palpatine sensed Obi-wan as the one to bring about his plan, by making Anakin a Jedi; and foresaw that killing Qui-gon would be the way to do it. That's why at the end of Episode I, he says he'd be watching Obi-wan and Anakin's progress.
Ken Burns I don’t think he would want obi wan to train young Anakin. Most likely try to get a Jedi puppet of his to train him and push him towards the dark side.
Heard all about it growing up wdym anakin was basically there
@Earl Lee I think it was poorly shown, that's all.
I.e. Maul TRIED to slice Obi-wan in half, but Obi-wan BLOCKED it with Qui-gon's lightsaber, and used the block to PIVOT over Maul's head.
But it was so poorly directed, that they didn't clearly show Obi-wan deflecting it-- or Lucas deliberately wanted to leave it to mystery (which is NOT necessarily a bad thing, compared to hamfisted hacks like Johnson or Abrams).
Of course Obi-wan knew Maul had a lightsaber, but not vice-versa; so Obi-wan PLANNED to force-grab Qui-gon's lightaber, ignite it, PARRY Maul's strike, and then use the block to PIVOT over him and slash him in two.
As Sun Tzu writes, "every battle is over before it starts," i.e. it comes down to WINNING STRATEGY... and Lucas would know that as well.
Meanwhile on Mustafar, Obi-wan KNEW that Anakin had a lightsaber, of course; so Anakin wasn't able to SURPRISE BLOCK Obi-wan's strike in the same way.
Now if Anakin threw AWAY his lightsaber and surrendered; and THEN force-grabbed it and jumped at the same time, the same way Obi-wan did on Mustafar; then maybe it would have worked.
Perhaps the Dyad means that the bond between them is so powerful that its almost like they are the same being within the Force. That could make it easier to explain being able to hand each other items through the Force.
Can we start a petition to get this guy to do the Star Wars audio books. That sidious impression is on point
The way I think about the “teleportation” of objects is not as teleportation. If they are a dyad in the force, they are kind of the same person. In two places at once. Whatever one has, they both have. A mirror of sorts. I don’t know but that’s what seems implied by the mirror in the darkside cave on Ach-to. Not saying I like it but that’s what I got.
Your thoughts on this make sense. Like a mirror. It's interesting, but I wish we knew more about it.

Either Vader's helmet stayed on Kajimi and was destroyed when the planet was, or it remains on Ren's ship - which later nose-dived into the surface of Exegol, so Vader's helmet was destroyed along with that ship when it went down. Either way, Vader's helmet is toast.

Because of the Dyad, both objects can be in two places at once. Kylo and Rey are both opposite poles, of this connection.
They can't teleport each other because the poles have to be fixed at there locations, but they can teleport objects between each other.

Who ever came up with the idea of a dyad in the force clearly didn't understand the true meaning of the rule of two. The rule of two was an answer to the failures of the past, that being consolidating power in many. This led to centuries of strife, conflict, power struggles, lost knowledge, basically it led to infighting. Bane's solution was to consolidate power in a few. A master and an apprentice, the point of this is for the apprentice to increase in power until they can overpower the master. This is why the ritual of claiming of the tittle of master was done in one on one combat so the most worthy to rule would be the victor. This makes Palpatines way of manipulation to kill plageous a back step for the rule of two, and not what bane intended. Bane's way would have the victor seen as the strongest, they would continue the cycle for centuries so that each apprentice is stronger than the master and by definition the previous master. Therefore every generation of Sith would be more powerful than the last subsequently increasing the power of the Sith over time. The Sith don't work well together they use each other to gain in power. Where as a force dyad is the two Sith using each other's bond to increase in power this means ultimately once a pair of Sith achieved a dyad they would rule together. If the point of they're partnership is to gain ultimate power what happens at the end? Do they just rule the galaxy side by side? Fucking no! Look at the way of the sith. The philosophical way of the Sith is contradictory to a force dyad. the two Sith would be at each others throats at the end, Sith believe in the power of the individual not in others. If Sith could reach a harmony and learn to trust one another the rule of two never have been necessary. The Jedi would have been vanquished by a sith empire of Dark Lords who were able to share power and not want to steal each other's for there own. Does that sound like the sith? Ya didn't think so. The idea of a force dyad is stupid. It's merely a half baked answer to explain the bs in the rise of Skywalker and it's ruining the sith in cannon. Take a minute SWT theory think on this and if u think I'm wrong fine whatever if you agree stop plugging this dyad crap and talk about what I discussed above.
God Disney needs to just shut the fuck up
What the cannon said is that rule of two is similar to dyad but there are differences of punctuation, may be rule of two is an interpretation of dyad but watched in "sith way", and for the same reason they can't form one, plagueis and Palpatine wnated one because they wanted to have power of life, and obviously they failed as their relationships with vader were not obviously about harmony , and the force is what created the dyad not a sith. If Palpatine wanted one is because the power not about harmony,.
@@dreamslove1184 I don't understand your point. You lead the response to give specifics about dyads but then move straight into speculating. None of which I was arguing. However you did say that Plageous wanted power over life. That is true but then you argue as if he didn't. purely in cannon no Plageous didn't have the power of over life but in the legends novel yes he did. And cannon has done everything to support the novel other than directly stating it as cannon.
@@injusticecombohub2620 I am just saying that the concept of dyad have not to deny rule of two or Bane's interpretation about it or that sith were not interested in harmony. Also, according to New cannon the secret of Plagueis was the one of essence transfer that Palpatine ended using. But plagueis also wanted to create a dyad, because dyad is the power of life itself. They wanted that power. And may be, spéculating here, they wanted to create a dyad, but they still do it in some way following the rule of two, with master-apprentice relationship, palpatine never treat anakin as an equal, and the relationship was as most siths have with their apprentices,so Palpatine and Plagueis could have been interested in that power but never understand the true nature of it, like the siths that they are. Bane also do not have to know, although he could have been inspired as tros visual dictionary said that rule of two and dyad prophecy are mostly written identicaly, star wars likes "two", jedi also have padawan and master, may be those were also interpretations.
@@dreamslove1184 once again your comment makes no sense, your point is lost in your run-on sentences. My whole argument was based off the fact that I hate the whole idea of a Force Dyad because 1: It's just a cop out excuse for the new trilogies BS. And 2: It's the completely opposite to the phylosophy of the sith. (which I discussed in length in my original comment) I'm not going to debate new cannon specifics with you my intention was to merely state force dyads are dumb Disney sucks and new trilogy sucks. Nothing more nothing less

Ok these novel revelations are pissing me off. I really wish I cared, I really wish that these meant something. But it’s pointless now.
Lucas Stchur This whole saga is like something out of Shakespeare. The evil Disney takes over Star Wars, and turns the hero of the future Jedi, Rey, into a Palpatine, the epitome of all evil in the Star Wars galaxy.
It’s a complete joke.
Let's just hope the High Republic will bring something for us to care about
Jack okay just because Disney makes films you don’t like doesn’t mean their fucking evil okay. That’s such a extreme stretch. Like their not fucking nazis or terrorists or the fucking kkk. Their just a company that have made decisions or films you didn’t happen to like.
Tom Ferrara agreed
@@TheJackKnite weird analogy but ok
Love the videos!!! I would like to know more about whats in that book.
i like that you do these videos because i don’t plan on getting the book. so if you could do it for everything in the book i’d love that. love the channel and star wars

Very interesting. Cool video

Look up the Aaiing-ti flow monks from Legends. They had the ability to teleport objects through the force
They're canon from TROS visual dictionary, coincidence?
@@goodmind4940 whoa, they made them cannon now. Thats unexpected
This Video is a fine addition to my collection
Your impressions are great
Darth Vader is basically count doku both needed help to take down the emperor
The way I see it, The Force is everywhere, and you exist at a specific point in the galaxy, and it. You have access to the Force and the Force, in turn has access to you. With these two being a dyad, which is a duplicate chromosome...the two are literally one in the Force. It would explain their power, how they accessed each other’s abilities, and also the teleportation. The Force wouldn’t be bound to the limitations of space (and maybe not even time, which would allow Kylo to return possibly?), so even though they’re lightyears apart, Rey passing a lightsaber to Kylo is the same as him switching one from his left hand to his right. I think that’s a good explanation of it because it’s really the most simple way. Twin telepathy, but the force version.
Seems legit
How you explain the force dyad is what in spirituality is called Twin Flames. Twin Flames have the ability to see where the other is, how they feel, it's a very beautiful connection, however straining it can be on the other hand when physically being together, because their energies oppose each other very much. The goal twin flames have to achieve is in order to balance this out, is to find love within themselves first, which balances the female and male energy within them and makes each twin whole again. It explains also, why Rey and Ben - seen from this angle - were fighting each other, yet, they more and more realized, that they mirrored each other in ways, that none of them ever experienced before. When they exchanged the lightsaber, THAT was literally blowing my mind. I was beyond excitement about that. They clearly are twin flames. I was extremely pleasantly surprised, seeing this concept in a Star Wars movie. This dyad, this twin flame connection, really is the only strong substance of the ST for me personally. That carried it for me. That's why I was a little bummed out, that they let Ben die, when this could have been the beginning of something truly fascinating.

stanley lee: the Force is NOT everywhere. It's a unified energy field that is unique to the galaxy, created by the life-force of living things, of which the midichlorians inhabit the cells and channel it, being collectively sentient.
you got a great channel bro
For a second there I felt like I was in church you going to tell me the chapter and verse too? 😂 great video dude.
1. Okay, so I guess the fact that Palpatine didn't see Vader's betrayal coming was because he was too fixated on Luke's death, and so that kind of fixes the part at the end of the Last Jedi where Snoke didn't notice the lightsaber moving next to him, and why he could only read certain pieces of Kylos mind.
2. In the movie, Palpatine drained Rey and Ben, not his supporters. Do Rey and Ben just not die at all in the book? I mean, you can't exactly explain plotholes or stuff that doesn't make sense by completely retelling it. But I'm guessing he turns back and drains them too, it's just weird that they changed something so major.
No joke in the movie I thought palpatine was gonna bring Darth Vader back to life as a clone and Rey and Ben would have to face him
Anakin Skywalker I thought you were going to come back as a force ghost and kill palpatine
That would have been awesome. A strange avenue to go down admittedly, but a cool concept
Hahaha even if that happened on the movie the Sith would end triumphing!
@@0predaking0 no cos rey have plot armor
@@znobbz__2874 don't you said
Regarding the teleportation: Maybe the Dyad create's it's own realm in the force, kind of the realm of the family (wich maybe form a triade?)
This video was amazing
