One thing I’ll say about fan films is that I’m never that immersed, the fan film usually shows and it kills my immersion but when I was watching this I truly felt like I was watching something straight out of Lucasfilms itself. Excellent job to the people who worked on it

Clone Wars Obi-Wan voice actor. We literally got a double dose of "Hello There." from Obi-Wan's in that scene....if for no other reason, the casting choice was correct.

The ONLY and I mean ONLY issue with this is that depending on Luke's exact age here, would mean Beru is 12-15 years older here in ANH, and she looks 25 here and 60 in ANH.
HeyMitch15, at the end of episode 3 she looked to be about the same age, around 20. Episode 4 is about 19 years later and Beru looks ready for AARP. Owen, Ben and Beru all aged hella fast on Tantooine.
We also have to take into account that Tatooine is a desert planet with very little moisture, this can play havoc on a persons complexion making them appear older than they are.
Not simply “fan made”.... Nice job by the independent filmmaker, Jason Satterlaund. He’s been doing small indies for like 25years. Sooo it’s not exactly a simple “fan-made” piece, nonetheless still well done. Only gripe would be better chops on the Aunt and Uncle Owen. They had the look, but their acting voices were wooden and wack. For me, the directing, the treatment and cinematography stood out the most; nice sequences and wonderful crafting of scenes. ✔️👊🏽✔️

He didn’t have his own lightsaber b/c he generally didn’t carry it around with him in case he got discovered. He only had Anakin’s b/c went out to get rid of it. Only reason I can think of the sandpeople didn’t steal it was b/c it was nighttime and they didn’t see it in the dark.
What I would like to see in the Kenobi series: a Cody resolution arc where he ends up helping Ben before sacrificing himself somehow... I know this very unlikely, but it’s still a cool thing to think about.

Amazing fan film. I found the moment when Owen and Obi nodded at each other truly beautiful. That scene showed that although they had conflicts, they still had respect for each other. No words needed there.
First time seeing this and after watching the Disney Kenobi series.... like what the actual f Disney? Is this fan film perfect? No. Does it have some silly parts? Sure, but man is this so much more like what I would of wanted to see. This really shows the power of music, especially the Star Wars music (which Disney has tried to defend why they didn't use any... idiots). I got chills and tears when he started defending himself blinded. Such a great set up for Luke's training and just classic Jedi shit. He's still portrayed weaker here, and losing faith in the force. He's still protecting Luke. There's still drama and action going on AND HE DIDN'T HAVE TO LEAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Jamie Costa as Obiwan looked more like Edgerton’s Owen, but sounded pretty darn close to Kenobi. The Owen in this looks remarkably like I imagine what the A New Hope Owen would look like but younger.
This short film is part of my head canon. The production value is high and the acting is good. the VFX are credible and well-made. The story is perfectly adjusted to the time period and the characters as we are introduced to them in Episode IV.
the best part is obi wans relationship with anakins light saber. you can tell when he picks it up hes just remembering his times with anakin and the last time they were together.

Life or death situation -- Obi-Wan doesn't give a flip about Inquisitors or Vader feeling the Force ... he's gonna pull that lightsaber to himself & use it. BUT Obi-Wan's then gonna power-up & hold a full-throttle speeder in place, while simultaneously fighting off two Stormtroopers?

So simple, and it's perfect. Casting, acting, set design, writing, costuming, shot composition - everything is perfect.
As much as I loved 4, 5, 6, the prequels cemented Obi Wan has my hands down favorite. I can't wait for his series.

Fan films these days have better acting and better CG than most big budget television shows.
So awesome James Arnold Taylor (who voices Kenobi in Clone Wars series & Rebels) was playing the Imperial Captain.
Yikes, this turned out a lot better than the actual Kenobi show.

this is soooo much better....it actually feels honest and like star wars.
The actor is perfect. He looks like an in between of Ewan and Alec and so does his voice, he sounds like a mix between Ewan and Alec and it’s just perfect.
That is the best fan film I have seen yet.
I really liked this. He had doubts about his purpose and was shown in the end that it was not in vain. Something everyone struggles with now and again.

God this was beautiful. I love it how all the short fan films are made with so much love from fans and are SO full of emotion unlike the wooden disney. Love what you all are doing, you are the fans WE are the fans and they can never take that away from us.
He could hold a speeder but he couldn't grab his lightsaber? It was pretty good. Qui Gon should have appeared and re affirmed his faith. Over all I really enjoyed it
It's to show the struggle vader will take in turning back to the light side that's why .
Plus they have stated that tapping into the force the inquisitors will come or even dsrth Vader like fallen order the game is canon and this goes against that
A nice film but it has inconsistencies. You guys are grabbing at straws and you know it.
Life or death situation -- Obi-Wan doesn't give a flip about Inquisitors or Vader feeling the Force ... he's gonna pull that lightsaber to himself & use it.
BUT Obi-Wan's then gonna power-up & hold a full-throttle speeder in place, while simultaneously fighting off two Stormtroopers?
That blue!!!! That blue saber just gave me a flashback of when I was a kid and saw luke holding his father's light saber for the first time. Amazing
