My folks were very poor when I was a kid. Their music is what I learned to love because it was the only entertainment my sister and I knew, being without TV or Radio. All we had was an old record player and Mama and Daddy's old records. Anyway, the memory makes me so happy, and somewhat proud, to be from such humble beginnings. Folk music reminds me of them and I will cherish those memories for all of my lifetime.

I still have most of my records including Seeger, Baez, Dylan and many others. The covers are falling apart but because I took meticulous care of them, they are still in excellent shape. As I get older I have been giving my collection to my nephew as he is an audiophile and I taught him how to take care of them. He already has a collection of my records including one of the first editions of the Beatles White Album. He has also been contacted by collector to see if he wants to sell any of these records. His answer is always no.

The sun came and the record was ruined. I paid for the record and still have it. This was a start. Me and my sister started to do covers. Later we met a boy - a much better guitar player than me. We were 3. We formed a cover band. Such happiness. We performed a lot and were lucky. 🥰

Mary Travers was always a pretty lady but when she was in her early 40's she was absolutely gorgeous.
