@JP-xd6fm Truth be told, it was also my first job and a relatively new location that had opened up, and this was during a time when our store manager had been fired for sexual misconduct so a lot of the shift planning was being done by kids who had just graduated school (me being a part of the graduation class), so the store was in limbo as everyone was kinda just playing by ear. Near the end of me working there, they eventually shortened my hours down to 14 a week (where previously I had been working over 46), and I got sick of asking for more hours from everyone so I put in my two weeks just as the new store manager got hired in. I had been working there for about a year in a half when I did so.

Glad your okay. This has never happened to me but i used to struggle with severe anxiety when I drove. It has gotten much better over the years because I changed things that I could control. No drinking, eating healthy, and working out were some of the big things I changed. Though the anxiety has not completely left and probably never will, I do feel a whole lot better when I drive. It makes me happy that your okay and your comfortable talking about your crash on camera. God bless you.

I had something happen to me that was a little bit similar: I wasn’t feeling so hot, but it was a work day so I was commuting out of town on the highway at ~70 mph. Then I noticed my vision was starting to go away, but in a way the opposite of tunnel vision? I was developing a black spot where I was looking, and my vision was becoming limited more and more to just the peripheral vision. In order to see what was ahead of me, I had to look to the sides.
I didn’t feel “bad”, just a little bit queasy. Anyway before too long, I pulled off at a side road and found a place to safely shut off for a little while. What I did was I opened the windows for air, reclined the seat, and shut my eyes, and relaxed for a good 10 minutes.
Eventually the feeling passed, my vision came mostly back, and I made it to work, where I thankfully was able to take some reprieve.
Later on I recovered completely and never experienced that again for months.
Then weeks later I had an optometrist appointment, and I asked the doctor about it. She took a close examination and concluded that I must have experienced a “retinal migraine,” which is apparently not too uncommon. I’ve never had a migraine headache before, so I had no knowledge of this. Essentially, like a bad migraine, what really needs to happen is exactly what I had done: find a quiet place to rest and close my eyes until I could recover.
I’ve actually had this happen a couple more times since, and my reaction has been better and better. Now the moment I feel my vision starting to fade, even a tiny bit, I can stop what I’m doing and find a safe place to rest and recover. Now if this happens I can recover fully in just a few minutes.
    Thanks for sharing this video!

You’ve enlightened me to symptoms of low blood pressure that I’ve ignored for awhile now… I’ve had two instances in my life from either getting up too fast or falling down too fast, and I had what I thought were seizures. The first time it happened was I stood up too fast and didn’t go to the hospital, but the second time I went because that was the fall, and I was actually with a friend when it happened and they drove me. I thought I had hit my head on the fall down and that’s what caused it. I don’t have the best insurance so I didn’t get many tests done besides a single catscan. They told me it was “heat syncope” that made me seize up, and to this day that answer never felt correct. And I think I may need to speak to my doctor about blood pressure issues because it draws a lot of parallels with your issue. I’m glad you’re in good health now and that the wreck wasn’t the end of you, you seem like a very intelligent and cool man.

At first I thought WTF, why not just pull over at the point you turned cruise off.
Then I realised, I'm thinking with a clear head, you were blacking out.
Your blood pressure was low and your thought processes were probably similar to being drunk, the same reason you couldn't walk when you came around.
Massive respect for you putting this up.
Don't be hard on yourself or feel bad for the poor decisions you made prior to the crash, you were not in control of your thoughts at that time.
Amazing you and the car came out of it so well.

Man things would have been so much different had you hit that pole. Glad you're ok. The condition you were just diagnosed with my oldest daughter was just diagnosed with after she passed out in the middle of a store in Tennessee during a visit.

Hey hope you are doing well and so is your daughter! Please what’s the name of the condition?? I’ve been experiencing the same thing, im in my thirties now, no passing out yet but doctors in my area cant figure out what i have. Maybe that can point them into the right direction

I remember seeing this video a while back! Thank you for putting this video out to explain what happened that day. I'm also very glad you're ok and had a great doctor who got to the bottom of your medical condition and got it under control.
May God Bless you and keep you safe.

Hey man, glad to see you weren't injured. That was pretty scary to watch! Happy that you have gained control of the condition with the help of blood pressure meds. Take care and I wish you all the best.

Should have went to the casino after this. Don’t know how you missed that pole and that hill saved you from getting back on that highway the wrong way. Glad you were all good man

Intense. Educational. Gripping. "Jesus, take the wheel". Glad you got the BP under control. One question though... Mustang but a seemingly loyal Mopar fan?

I really like Mopars but I'll give Mustangs and Crown Vics attention too

@@70stastic Valid points. The Crown Vic is an iconic and incredibly durable land yacht. My first was a 1070 Challenger SE. I have always been a Mopar fan so I keyed on it. My brother had a 68 RR Convertible and a 69 Charger RT. We feel like fools for letting them go way back then.

That mustang grew wings, like those found on his guardian angel. I thought for sure he was gonna hit that pole but all of a sudden the steering wheel turned and the car completely missed it.

Thank you for making this video!
I love "Where are they at now?" "What happened back then?" type videos, and you did a good job telling an interesting story & reflecting back on it! I love cars too and am glad you're ok. Also, I love your fashion style. Absolute badass! Keep on trucking, my friend.

Thank you for the update, I had always wondered what the heck happened and for what reason. Thank God nobody was injured or fatalities and that you are doing well.
It is strange to me that when someone sees something like this right before their eyes they don't jump in to help, only one person steps up out of dozens that drive by not caring for another human, good job Samaritan.

Blood pressure, the organic bodies oil pressure. Get it right or breakdown down. Good that its been fixed, car and body.

I'm glad you're ok. You definitely had a guardian angel watching over you that day because had any one of a hundred little things gone differently I don't think you'd have been with us to tell this story. All the best.

First of all, glad you're doing good!
At 6:28 I'm pretty sure the reason why it steered away from the road was the slope of that ridge. Gravity will pull the car towards the bottom and it will naturally steer to that side.

This is called vasovagal syncope and is super common. The more well known term for this is “passing out” and can happen for any reason. Just super unfortunate timing, glad he’s okay.
