@GuitarRockGod951: The tanooki suit lets you tailspin, glide, and fly like the super leaf does, and in addition it allows you to become a statue by pressing B+down. When you're a statue you cannot be killed and you can destroy some enemies that otherwise can't be destroyed.
My record time for getting through the game is 21 minutes, but I did use whistles. If you play again after beating it, you have a bunch of flying P in your inventory. I love this game.

A'ight, perhaps five hours, more or less, considering the fact that I took a few breaks to rest my eyes, answer the phone, etc. This challenge truly tests one's ability to successfully triumph, especially when attempting to discover and explore everything to their avail, since there is no save feature, of course. The thoughtful idea of a percentive progress report along with a total elapsed time clock before the curtain falls at THE END occurred to Me just now. Although you can only store four pages of inventory, knowing precisely how, when, and where to strategically utilize certain suits throughout the lands are definitely handy. Whatever You do, do not use a flute anywhere in World 8, since this will simply cause Mario and Luigi to start over at 8-1. Really though, truly yo!..
