Super Mario World: Bowser's Castle & Ending (All 8 Doors Shown)

- This is the final level towards facing Bowser. Ingame, it's actually called "Front Door".

When you go into the Front Door of Bowser's Castle, you get a set of doors numbered 1 through 4. Enter one of them and clear its area to reach another set of doors numbered 5 through 8. What doors do you like to use?
This video is specifically edited to show you all 8 doors and what rooms you'll have to go through in them. I did this by recording video clips of 1 & 5, 2 & 6, 3 & 7, and 4 & 8, then splitting them up and reattaching them into the correct numerical order.
After the 8th door's challenge, you go through a dark room that you can soon light up with a red "?" Block. This is the first room you reach when you enter this castle through the Back Door on the map.
Throughout this whole level, you'll find Mechakoopas. They only appear in this level, but you can pick them up after you stomp on them.

At the very end, Mario reaches the top of Bowser's Castle. The great and terrible Koopa King slowly descends into the battlefield using his Koopa Clown Car, all while the storm of the valley continues its roars. The final battle begins!
First off, in his Clown Car, Bowser will fly left and right across the screen. If you're not gonna show off, stay low and avoid the propeller blades under his car. He'll soon throw & sic Mechakoopas at you. Beat them and throw them straight up, all while hoping that two of them will hit Bowser.
After the two hits, Bowser will fly away from the screen then extremely close to it. The Clown Car WILL hit you if you don't get out of its way while it's doing this.
Hellfire will rain on the field, then the Clown Car comes back. Princess Peach pops out screaming for help! She throws a Super Mushroom to help you out before Bowser appears again.

This time, the Clown Car will home in on you, and drop huge bowling balls at you. This makes it a bit harder to hit Bowser with two more Mechakoopas, but once it's done, every thing from the flying away to Peach throwing a Mushroom will happen again.

For the 3rd & final phase of the match, the Koopa Clown Car gets seriously angry and bounces around the field. It'll stop for a moment to drop more bowling balls and Mechkoopas, but situate yourself correctly so you don't get hit by them, or crushed by the Clown Car.
Just try and hit two more Mechakoopas at Bowser and his Clown Car will lose control. He'll drop the Princess and spiral away.

Once again, Mario has saved Princess Peach Toadstool, to which she rewards him with a kiss. Together, both of them, Mario's new buddy, Yoshi, and all of the trapped yellow Yoshi eggs from the Koopalings, head back to Yoshi's House to start the vacation Mario & Peach wanted this whole time.
After a bunch of traveling during the credits roll, Mario & friends make it back to Yoshi's House, where there are Red, Yellow, & Blue Yoshis waiting for them. A miracle then happens as all of the yellow eggs Mario bought back finally hatched into different colors of baby Yoshis.
The 4 adult Yoshis celebrated, while Mario & Peach posed & waved for a victory. THANK YOU.
What follows after that is the cast of every single enemy in the whole game, including the Koopalings and Bowser himself.
THE END. Luigi somehow makes it into the art at the very end whether your game was set to 2-Players or not.

Whenever I got up to Bowser, I was prepared for an epic show down. The cracking thunder and flashing lighting set the mood and tone for the boss of bosses. The music amped me up to beat him.
I love how the very last level, just before you get to Bowser is totally dark to where you need a flash light to complete it. That means NOBODY is supposed to be in there.

The technical and artistical jump from Super Mario Bros. 3 to this is, to this day, absolutely amazing to me. I played this game for years in my childhood, the best 2D Mario game by far

This game brings me back so many good memories. I remember as a kid fighting against bowser and as a kid it used to be so hard, it felt like my biggest challenge by the time 😂 omg I miss my childhood so much! Love super Mario world
Same here! It was so tough for me to beat Bowser. I don't know if it was months or weeks, but when I was finally able to beat it I felt so triumphant. There was so many cool things you could do in this game.

One of the most menacing Bosses of my childhood. When u very first get to the top of the castle, u see that smiley face balloon and I was thinking "ok that's a creepy boss, but where's Bowser?" And then he pops up with that suspenseful music and u knew u were in trouble on your first encounter
I played the crap out of this game growing up. Had a lot of good memories playing with my siblings...I remember pausing the game at certain times, like 5:51and scaring my little sister. I told her the game froze.

I love how instead of having a difficulty slider or "you died X times, here's some help", you can make the game easier by taking your time and exploring the game. Compared to modern games the exploration is quite minimal, but at it's time it was probably incredible to have hidden branching paths. What I love about NSMBU is that it brings back the interconnected map of SMW, with elements of SMB3's maps such as the toad houses and enemies that block your path, and the secret exits that have been in the games since the start.
By far the greatest Mario's game. A truly masterpiece.

One of the most epic video game battles of the 90s. I remember watching the commercials for the new SNES and they gave a glimpse of the clown-copter flying towards the screen during the montage. Boy, they really pumped us up on that one. The later came Play Station... Practically putting SNES and Genesis in its shadow!

The 1st video game I have ever beaten, I was in Kindergarten. What I remember most is the ending/credits after you beat bowser and how EPIC the creators make you feel, that this adventure is over... I instantly fell in love with video games.

My parents got this for me back in 1992-93 or so. My very first video game. I still remember going to the Costco with them and we were picking out the system and game. I love this game.

The more I see and play this, the more it seems like something out of Mario Maker. Not necessarily in difficulty, but in design and how things are placed.
Man I can't think of any game that has ever topped this in my life. This game along with super mario 3 was my childhood. super mario 1 and 2 as well, but 3 and this was the ones I played the most. Funny how it felt so much harder back then, now I look at the levels and it's like "wow it was short!".

Dude Super Mario Bros was Classic. I beat this game many a times. LOL. I was a kid in the 90s playing this game. As a Midwesterner I feel appreciated and nostalgic by the good game. Plus their secret switches and their secret areas. LOL.

For those of you who think it’s over no there still is special for some reason I don’t know if this is intentional or added by a mistake but once you beat the difficult 8-10 levels and you come out the tunnel the map colorblind mode changes gradually.

magikoopa was also not in the credits. but in the gameboy advance port, he was put into the credits. but still no Ninji or Bowser statues.

I love entering the rooms of Bowser's hip club.
I remember watching my friend beat this as I hadn't gotten an SNES till a little later. The Bowser battle had my jaw drop due to the scaling Clown Car sprite, hadn't seen anything like that before in video games with the NES or Atari 2600.
I love yoshi. I died just from laughing sometimes cause it was cute.
