I remember playing this game at the age of 8 years old when the Nintendo 64 was state of the art. I remember being a first grader and I couldn't wait for my grandma to pick me up from school so I could play this game. The nostalgia is killing me. This will always be apart of my childhood.
The sounds of the music brings joy to my heart. I was a 6 year old boy bagging his single mother of 3 to get this game for me. She didn’t have anything. But she always found a way to make her kids happy. I will never forget. Any kid that grew up playing this was luckier than they can imagine. Thank you, Nintendo!
That final battle against Bowser.... legitimately one of the greatest boss battles in a video game. It’s a bit more challenging than other Bowser fights (though that doesn’t say much) but what sets this apart from any boss battle is the presentation. Obviously the music plays a huge part in that, but everything has such an ominous feel to it. Especially with Bowser being RAINBOW because of the giant star in his possession. Just from the buildup to this fight and the way it presents itself, it feels like this is the last time Mario and Bowser are fighting each other; this one is to-the-death. Rarely do you get that feeling from a boss fight. Even more special when it’s between Mario and Bowser, the most iconic rivalry in video games.
Really? This fight? Fighting the same guy for the third time but with a faint rainbow lighting on him... How exciting. Keep in mind this is already the 23rd bowser battle EVEN BACK THEN, and I knew it was a boring and tired idea even when I was a little kid then! Yes, 23rd bowser battle because you fight him 8 times in the original mario bros ("But the first 7 are copies of him not the real him!" it's basically like fighting him, hardly any different fighting the "Real" one) then another 8 times in the sequel (Japanese garbage sequel, not the cool one america got which was just an edit of another japanese game) Then once in mario bros 3 (when bowser actually looked like the bowser we know instead of that complete dumbass. I mean, of course he always looks like a dumbass but the first two were so idiotic looking it was embarrassing.) Again in Mario World, then two versions of baby bowser in yoshi's island, then three versions in mario 64. That's 23. If that's the only thing they do every time, it's no longer iconic. It's stale and lazy. A villain is less intimidating and interesting with every defeat, making bowser the least imposing villain in all of video games, which is a shame since there's a way to actually handle returning "iconic" villains with respect, like with K Rool for example. Main villain in first 3 Donkey Kong Countries then again in donkey kong 64, and even though he was the main villain for four games in a row at least they had the sense to not have you beat him multiple times in any of the games. Then many years pass and donkey kong country returns comes out, with a new main villain and boss. Though it would have been okay to have him come again a 5th time since it had been so many years, they understood to change things up a little, even though it wasn't as desperately needed as in the mario franchise even during the SNES years. Then they have another villain in the sequel, and now people would actually be excited to see K Rool back. Since so much time has gone by and actually different threats happened in between, it would be interesting to see what K Rool had come up with, he would seem like a genuine threat because we haven't seen him in so long and he would have had so many years just being vengeful. Bowser? No one is excited to see bowser, he's just there because he always is. He never will be intimidating or interesting matter how big they decide to make him. Imagine if the first time we saw bowser was in Super Mario Bros. 3 (Not the first two which has you basically fighting him 16 times)... then we don't see him for years and years then he suddenly shows up again in like Mario Odyssey. Can you imagine how insanely nostalgic that would feel? And how he would seem like a genuine threat because it's been so freaking long? They've screwed over what could have been a cool character. I loved this game as a child, even though I'm from another country, it was the same as the 64 version seen here. But that moment every said, Bowser is saving Princess Peach from Mario, I felt a disturbance, some where across the ocean.
I love the bowser fights in this game because there's no special gimmick to aid mario. No fludd, no cappy or even a luma. The only thing mario had to fight bowser was his own strength and the bombs that mario throws him at.
You know why I hate people that sell old things: They get done with it, then sell it, but at one point in their life, they're gonna want it back. Why not just keep it in the first place
Good ol days when creativity was at its best. Making such a flawless game when gaming industry wasn’t sold out. Instead, they aimed in customer experience rather than a bunch of titles and micro transaction.

"So long gay bowser"
Goomba: uhh YOU! STOP RIGHT THERE
Mario: not today (pushes off edge)
Video: thug life

This was my Childhood
"so long gay Bowser" 😂😂😂
I love Mario 64 it's the best game just love it.
Am i only one that thinks Bowser's Mario 64 model cute?
7:28 shit used to pissed me off on how he teleports lmfao
Everytime mario makes bowser spin i say: "Around, around and away we go !" Just like klank and orbus in Power Rangers Zeo ! 😂😂😂😂
Un final feliz de mario y la princesa peach que casi hizo llorar..
Bowser: Mario is too much of a pussy to fight me hand to hand
Mario: Imma about to a ruin this a whole mans career!
I’d stay on the beginning for about 10 minutes listening to the music❤️
I thought I was the only one 😂. The beginning music goes hard for some reason lol.
Smooth transitions, very good
Breaking news: Fat Italian plumber assaults big gay turtle and then verbally abuses it. Details at 10 PM EST

So long, gay Bowser!
Hahahahahahahahahah. You make my day.
Bowser is now bisexual
Whomever is responsible for the soundtrack God Bless You very therapeutic 🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Koji Kondo did the music for the Mario and Zelda games.
Is no one gonna mention that bowsers trap is a lego?

Cringe Counter oh I did not notice like that
sweaty lad well Lego is a trap for ur feet
You get visably better at playing the game by the end of this and ita awesome.
Que linda infancia a los que nos tocó esa época ✨😃
I loved this game as a child, even though I'm from another country, it was the same as the 64 version seen here.
But that moment every said, Bowser is saving Princess Peach from Mario, I felt a disturbance, some where across the ocean.
Whoever thought it was crazy in the second battle that Bowser know how to TELEPORT? I miss the old Nintendo, when they were more creative.
I would always play these levels with a fixed side perspective, despite this being a 3D game. I did't expect different play styles to feel this off!
*AMO* y Adoro los soundtracks de dichos niveles!! :D

José JAR: Si, yo también, y estas no son la excepción
Descarguen mega Nintendo 64 en Chrome búsquen Mario 64
@@babymoney8529 como?
I love the bowser fights in this game because there's no special gimmick to aid mario. No fludd, no cappy or even a luma. The only thing mario had to fight bowser was his own strength and the bombs that mario throws him at.
Casey Salas
That bowser gets thrown at*
😂
Maqar0n I could've worded that better. My mistake.
Casey Salas It’s okay :)
14:16 ¿Yoshi?
FranciscoJuarez yea he's in the game
If you have all 120 stars yoshi appears on the castle's roof
No it’s not yoshi it’s gay bowser
The bowser road theme is one of the coolest bowser castle themes ever. It was so good that they brought it back for galaxy around 10 years later.
As someone who played Galaxy before ever knowing about SM64, I can confirm that the Galaxy rendition slaps even without the nostalgia factor
@@TotherKoala fr it does
You know why I hate people that sell old things:
They get done with it, then sell it, but at one point in their life, they're gonna want it back. Why not just keep it in the first place
Mario greets Peach, Peach thanks Mario for saving the Castle. And lucky Mario gets a kiss.
Este juego marcó mi infancia... Gracias Mario!!!!

2:37 that's the most 90s nostalgia sound in the world
it was a great childhood
I hate second bowser level...
AND THE FCKIN FIRE
"OHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
Good ol days when creativity was at its best. Making such a flawless game when gaming industry wasn’t sold out. Instead, they aimed in customer experience rather than a bunch of titles and micro transaction.
