Super Mario World‘s Bowser is still the scariest and most menacing Bowser to me, even after Bowser’s Fury. Nothing can top the fear and dread I feel going into that final boss

If you think about it in a different way he's incredibly tough to defeat. Most players will lose multiple lives trying to defeat him. Some will lose all of their lives and need to start again before finally beating him. Bowsers K/D ratio is insanely good lol.
I like the Bowser fight in Super Mario World the best because it's the first time you actually fight Bowser, instead of touching an axe to dump him into lava or making him kill himself by making him jump on bricks.
That's more in a secret world only accessible with a cannon level. It's like the secret final boss and he only showed the main ones. Maybe that's why D-4 didn't show up

Probably one of two things happened: One, the audio glitches up when the princess was rescued; or two, he couldn’t play the Lost Levels remix of Peach’s Theme due to copyright.

@@georgecortes3416 it's not a glitch. It's how the game works. Super Mario Bros 2 Japan was meant for super players, so that's why you need to beat the game so many times. I think Nintendo did intentionally. I think she's in the D-4 castle and not the 8-4 castle.

Yes, I know to access Worlds A-D, you have to beat the game 8 times consecutively, and I also know that you only need to do this once in the All-Stars port while the Deluxe port on GBC doesn't have Worlds A-D at all. And I'm also aware of World 9 which you get 1 life to complete (it loops back to 9-1 after beating 9-9) which is only playable if you didn't use Warp Zones. I said it before and I'll say it again, I know how Worlds A-D are unlocked, I was referring to the oddity that was the game's audio when you rescued Peach. Normally, it's supposed to play a slightly rearranged version of Peach is Rescued from SMB (regardless of whether you beat World 8 or World D), but for some strange reason, it just looped the Game Over theme instead and I don't know what causes that to happen.
