The transition where Eric went from his apartment to the crime scene was practical as both sets were right next to each other. Practical transitions were a favorite gag of director Darren Lynn Bousman that he would continue with the next 2 movies
Oh man, there are a couple he does in the 4th movie transitioning to & from the police interrogation room that I love.
@@sproductionsincYeah, that is a lovely transition
Little fun fact: the trap that Addison falls into was actually not meant for her. That's one reason why she threw the tape away. That trap was meant for Gus, the dude who got shot in the eye earlier in the film. In one of the early drafts for Saw II, Gus' tape would have said something along the lines of him: "reaching his hand into the cookie jar for money", implying that he was guilty of stealing/embezzlement. Another version of his tape said that Gus' trap was designed to: "punish the hands that had harmed innocent others when his anger had reached its peak", suggesting that Gus was regularly abusive toward his family and those around him while enraged. If that was true, that would had kind of explained his personality and why he acted the way.
In an early script of Saw II, Addison's actual trap was written to resemble a waffle iron. Upon trying to grab a syringe with the antidote, two clamps would trap her wrists and slowly heat up. In order to free herself, she had to press her face against a third hot iron positioned right in front of her. This would activate a mechanism that would release her from the clamps so she could obtain the syringe. Her instruction tape would have said something like: "You have to sacrifice your looks, in order to save your life." Given her character, this would had made alot more sense and I would had loved to had seen how that would had worked on film. What a shame. It sounded really wild!
Eric getting progressively more angry as the movie progresses while John remains calm and continues to read him like a book is a very nice dynamic. Especially when John starts to talk about all of the bad things Eric has done over the years and gotten away with. He presses his buttons because Eric's test is about remaining calm and waiting. So once he starts hurting John, it's already over. He now thinks the power has shifted in his favor. But little did he know, that wasn't a *safe* move. Game over
And to think if Eric just played the game by its rules, not only would he have seen his son again- but John finally would be arrested and so many more deaths could've been prevented.
Though Amanda and Hoffman would still be at large I suppose.
Hands down the best Saw in the franchise. The Kills, the dramatic music buildup, and Tobin Bell being an evil genius.😂😂
I love you guys, my toxic trait is pretending we’re actually all friends and when you post a video it’s like we’re all hanging out and laughing together watching movies. That’s sad isn’t it😂
Same!! I Swear I Thought I was the only one who does this, especially with movie Reactions channels
Same..😂
Same😭💀
🎶We’re all in this together 🎶
Your self-awareness about it makes it less sad if that makes you feel better
Note that Amanda never had to look for her tape the first time around- she woke up, and the doll told her the rules.
The box trap still had a key in its lock. All she had to do was not focus on the needle.
The needle pit has to be one of the most visially horrofying things theyve put on film, i can feel it when i see it
Ah so this was the movie that I remember. That "it's not live" scene was stuck in my memory cause I was so mindblown by it.
Agreed that house had to be a bad place to be at the present time all those decomposing bodies in there Eric kept coming across. 😷
Fun Fact 3: One hint of the footage not being Live was how numberous items Amanda was picking up are actually in the wearhouse while Eric and John are talking.
You can also see the VCR tracking lines on the video tape whenever they are watching on the monitors.
Saw II was another solid entry in the series. It had an interesting twist (Daniel being alive and in the same room as him the whole time), some gnarly kills and traps (specifically the needle pit and burning alive), and a banging soundtrack (featuring Mudvayne.) All in all, a great successor to the original film.
Cody: "I was 13 in 2005.'
Me: "God I feel old."
I was 9 years old
I was 2
i was 15 man iam really old i guess i win jk!
and i was 3
i was 17 too old
I LOVE how you guys do horror movies, reading each kill then reading the movie overall! I watch a LOT of reaction channels, but this is how you feel moved up into my Top 3.
EDIT: Saw (no pun intended) this in the theaters too. Only things I remembered: peephole gunshot kill, needle pit, and Wahlburger getting trapped at the end.
Put it in reverse terry ! 🤣🤣 IYKYK
Honestly i really like this movie more than the first. Also i would love to see you guys react to silent hill
Needle Pit has lived rent free in my head, just like a certain scene in Hostel.
Fun Fact: When Darren Lynn Bousmann was hired to direct Saw 2, one trap he thought of bringing from his original pitch The Desperate was Face Grill. The victim would have been a supermodel or prostitute someone who the Jigsaw tape described using their beauty to get by. The trap was rigged to the victims wrists were strapped in Barbed Wire so the more they struggled the more they cut themselves. To get free, the victim would have to press their face down hard and long the hot grill in front to be free. Of course the victim would do what was said, get free and Billy the doll would give the victim the "You are still alive" line. But after realizing that the film was more about Eric vs John as a game, he didn't have time and scrapped it from this film. But it was believed that if he did put it in, it would have been for either Addison or Laura.
Amanda is the best character of the Saw Franchise! I’m so excited for her return in Saw X ❤
Ikr she's always been my favorite character. I remember losing my mind when I saw the SAW chapter for the game Dead By Daylight and I realized she was the killer
*Saw Series, dumbass.
It isn't a franchise.
Fun Fact 2: The Hand Trap was meant for the character Gus( Who was shot when the key was used.). The tape would have mentioned how Gus was basically embezzling money from his company.
Laura (Beverley Mitchell) was a shoplifter.
@scottylewis8124 Yep. And Beverly was hoping that the Hand Trap or even the unused Grill Trap was for Laura. But as Darren said, they left a few traps out because overall the game was basically Eric vs John.
@@nilesstark im interested in seeing the unused traps. i honestly thought the hand trap is for laura since she steals stuff but apparently not. the grill trap is most likely for addison though
that's what i liked about John Kramer he NEVER lies to anyone but yet nobody listens to him
The Tokyo Subway Attacks are indeed an historical event from the 90s, in which cultists from the Aum Shinrikyo cult released Sarin gas in several trains.
Yeah I remember learning about that and it stayed with me for a while. People are just...wow
@@J1ntu Famous Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami wrote a book called Underground, which is a collection of interviews he did with survivors, cultists, and first responders. Really worth a read.
the movie that got me afraid of peepholes was one missed call lol 😭
i’m cracking up at ‘put it in reverse terry’ 😂 didn’t expect that reference
"Put it in reverse, Terry!" Dude lmao 😆
It's both a would you rather game, and escape room...
@36:11 Also realized that Amanda is the odd number out. If the numbers go with the rainbow, that is 7 numbers. At the start, there are 8. Amanda probably doesn't have one. Unless she does, which would throw the code off. So they just assumed they would never get it.
With Addison s death , the writer Leigh Whaneel , who played Adam in saw 1, said that he hates when characters cuts their wrists, also it has been stated/ revealed that the trap that Addison died in was meant for the guy that got shot in the eye near the beginning of the nerve house trap story line.
saw 2 would definitely have to be my favourite in the franchise, i remember being MIND BLOWN by the twist the first time around! can't wait for your saw 3 reaction to see what you think of the angel trap (my favourite trap in the series) and the pig vat!!!
The ratings were a creative touch that makes it more entertaining!
Speaking of Escape Rooms, you guys should check out the Escape Room movies if you haven’t already. There are only 2 but they are a ton of fun.
Yes! I love those movies.
There are also pretty much 2 versions of the 2nd. The theatrical cut is much different than the extended cut. It's be fun to see someone react to both but that's a lot of time.
The Needle Death Is Still One Of My favorite scenes from Saw II, It's stayed with me the longest and I hate needles And it's One Of My biggest fears 😣 Edit: y'all Look fantastic in Them shirts. Where did you get them wonderful Chucky shirts from?
This film is another example of a script that started as its own thing but turned into a Saw movie.
5:03 if you saw Scott Pilgrim, he was sad. He was very, very sad.
Oh my god I knew he looked familiar but I couldn't figure it out. Thank you
@@J1ntu I read your thank you in his "we hate you, please die" voice.
@@J1ntu most welcome lol
Fun Fact 4: Almost everywhere in the wearhouse are blueprints to some of the traps in the House of Jigsaw.
Just came across you guys! You're freaking great
Saw 3 is def the best sequel!can’t wait to see the “pig”scene reaction!
I agree, the first three are the best.
13:10 yeah let me put my eye up to a random peephole while doing the opposite of what the note said.
Even as a kid, I remember thinking this guy was just stupid
You guys should do a reaction to The Belko Experiment. Would be good for a kill review!
While I do think that Saw I is still better, this is the film that truly cemented Tobin Bell's Jigsaw as one of the most iconic horror villains of all time.
11:52 It definitely wasn't a "good" morning.
I FUCKING LOVE TOBIN BELL. He lended his voice for Savatar in the Flash TV show
I love the Chucky shirts, guys. Especially Bridgette's. It looks like Chucky's bursting out of your chest! 😂
i think we should have got some Edgar Wright editing in the Saw movie franchise.
“I’ve never seen Silent Hill”….wtf…my guy, you gotta watch it!
the worst thing about the blade one, it's poitned out the box had no lock on it, she very likely if she ha checked could have just lifted the box up and grabbed the syringe.
Saw 2 great we got Tobin bell and Donnie walburg. The twists later never seen that coming.
7:18 - I swear I thought you said "feces". I was like, "Dude, what kind of film do you think this is?"🤣
so that's my cousin Tim getting burned up in the furnace and that's why Saw 2 is the only Saw movie I've ever seen...
Oh the irony of the first guy being called a rat getting a kill score of sixnine
That's a cool collection you have behind you.
Fun Fact 5: When Xavier cuts off the skin to read his number, there was an alternate take where he threw the skin at Amanda and Eric, But they liked the 2nd take where he puts the number in his pocket.
I've seen Saw, Saw II and Saw III. Great movies.
I remember watching saw 2 on dvd at home when I was a kid. I was eating a stuff crust cheese and tomato pizza at the time and I kid u not I have never touched a stuff crust cheese and tomato pizza ever since. 😂
i love bridget’s hair !
33:40 that's a shot from Hollow Man!
yeah thats one I've hated SO often in movies, there is an antidote, they are coughing up blood, skin slouthing off, what ever, but the ssecond they et the antidote, not only does the damage stop happening, but it gets better hehe
Saw is my favorite horror series of all time and I have two saw tattoos! I just binged your two reactions and I’m SO EXCITED for y’all to react to Saw 3 (my favorite)!
nooooo i was literally refreshing your page for got reaction :(
The needle pit has always stuck me with cause even tho you can’t die from it it’s painful asf.
Have a vomit bag ready for the next movie the opening alone will make you guys squeamish XD
20:50 I was thinking the same thing 😂😂😂
I don’t know how many have taken the time to watch the behind the scenes on these movies, but I highly recommend doing so. Because they legit build more or less all the traps so they “work” in a way.
As Always Love Seeing Your Reactions To All These Great Movie's, Guy's
Saw 2: Saws
Saws 3 in 3D
Saws The Revenge
👀
💀
Oh yes there will be blood. All time favorite quote
18:54 John said to take two syringes And it closed on him because he took three..
Saw X is by far my favorite but I would rank this one as my second favorite
I'm disappointed in you two, it took you longer than expected to figure out the Amanda situation but you got it just in time. Not going to lie it took me until the end of the movie when I first "SAW" it to figure it out too!
😂Lmfao @"SAW" it
I believe Saw III will have a much higher overall score with the deaths/traps... 😳
Honestly the first Saw movies were great. The best of the franchise. Adding Saw X somewhere in between cus it was good too.
The first Silent Hill is a decent movie, the second is just schlock (though if you're into that, you might like it too)
That’s the thing w/ saw movies, sometimes u wont get answers until 3 movies later lmao
The needle pit, for me, is the most iconic and etched-in-my-brain kill in the entire series. I don't normally mind needles (I'm a transman and take weekly T shots) but falling into a pit of dirty needles... that always fucked with me, even pre-transition. I was a teenager (a couple years older than you guys) when these movies came out, and this one and another one way later involving a shotgun (trying not to spoil as much as possible) are the two that stick out most for me
How Adam died they will show you.
Thank you for doing these. Love the saw movies. This is my favorite. Can't wait for next month for Chucky S3 😆
I'm here for these saw reactions. ❤
Cone on guys please continue with the Saw franchise
Saw 2 is number 2 for me
Saw & Saw 2,Are The Best 👍,In My Opinion
You guys should see silent hill since there is a new movie coming out soon
Hi, Cody and Bridget, what's the one saw trap that you never actually see activate it on anybody? It's a very influential trap that you speak of.
NEXT ONEEEE PLZZZZ
Jigsaw needs to be a prison warden! Taxes would be cheaper just saying
Like I said last time, most of the "victims" are the actual villains in these films, and Jigsaw is somewhere between vigilante and antihero.
There's only a few participants that are actual victims, don't deserve it.
But Det. Matthews (as everyone else in that house) got EXACTLY what he deserved. A crooked cop who plants evidence, and used police brutality. In this movie, Jigsaw is my hero. A crooked cop getting his comeuppance. It was justified.
Too bad real life doesn't play out the same. Instead, piece of shxt cops tend to get rewarded with medals and promotions, and are defended by a certain segment of society.
While a lot of Jigsaw victims indeed are guilty of plenty of things, I'd argue that few if any are as bad as Jigsaw himself.
Eh, it's more true for later movies and still there are plenty of people who don't deserve it. So far the only real "villain" is the detective.
Now here's a take I'm sure you won't like, but needs to be said. Jigsaw in Saw II is no better than the detective. The detective believed these 6 criminals were guilty of their crimes and deserved to be punished in prison, so he planted evidence to ensure they were convicted.
Jigsaw believes something similar of those criminals, so then decides to take the law into his own hands. He kidnaps them and puts them in a life-and-death scenario as punishment. How is John any better? Because this also punishes the detective? Ends don't justify the means. He could have published the evidence that the detective was crooked, and tried to get him locked up. If John didn't believe that would work, he could have put him that house with similar themed traps about the criminals he planted evidence on. Let him learn the 'lesson' himself without hurting numerous innocent bystanders.
I like John as a character and the entire franchise, but people do a lot of mental gymnastics to defend his actions. He's a serial killer in the end.
@@ImAlsoMerobiba but the 6 people in the house at least have a chance. The ones I felt bad for was 7th Heaven, and the dude whose car was destroyed in Speed and boat destroyed in Speed 2. The rest... two of them were stupid and failed (brain splatter through the peephole, and cut wrists in a box), and the other two absolutely got what they had coming. Sorry. The streets are safer without either of them.
But like I said, the difference between Jigsaw and Det. Eric (I wish he spellt it with a 'k' rather than 'c') Matthews is Jigsaw gives them a chance. But there are times that Jigsaw chooses people who don't deserve these games, or at least not these harsh ones. I think Jigsaw should have games for ones like 7th Heaven that aren't inclined to be fatal for her, but require something rather different for sacrifice, like Jeff in Saw III but not the sacrifice of life of those closest to you, either.
u should see the movie Would You Rather?
Love your guys chucky shirts btw
I LOVE Bridget's Chucky shirt, but I can't find it anywhere 😭 I hope someone's able to help me
Can’t wait for the other saw movie reactions!
Have you done art the clown yet?
You should definitely do Thanksgiving when it comes out
Awesome ❤
The Silent Hill movies are great! :)
The only thing I got from this commentary was "I've never seen Silent Hill before" how!? Please watch Silent Hill, it's so good❤
This is a real good movie def better than the first. The next is when it begins to get more soap opera like which is my favorite. Hoping Saw X gets more soap opera like after the last 3 disappointed
Where’d u get the scream VI replica mask?
Finally more horror 😭
Love your guys videos
This is one of my two favorites of the franchise. Surprisingly, the other is much later in the series.
I'm holding out hope that Saw X will join the ranks.
what's the other one?
@@theclairewhyguessing 6. That's another favorite of many.
one of the best franchises out there Saw the game over nostalgia hope you watch the other saw movies all of them
