- You caught fish, not a fish, but fish. I call that a massive success. You provided food for you && your husband && he provides building the house. You work well together. 6:55
How I miss the lifestyle we used to live on an Island north of Darwin, Australia. You take me back to those days with these videos. Thank you so much - am loving it.
I love that An talks to the chickens when he is feeding them 🫶🏽🐓🐥... I miss our chickens so much we had some but due to wild dogs we no longer have them 😢... we are planning to build a more substantial coop to keep them safe. There is nothing better than your own chicken eggs 🍳
New subscriber here.. while i look forward to watching every episode, I find your leaving out some valuable content. Eg. Please identify the plants you find when foraging. Not everyone knows what it is your picking and or how it's prepared. Secondly if you bring home fish, then follow through with how you cook it and show yourself enjoying your catch. And or how you store it. Every aspect is interesting for people who live in a city and never experience this type of life. You have a great platform and a life most people can only dream about.
Thank you for subscribing! And yes, definitely want to do all of the above! In the past it hasn’t always been easy to film all that in one day as we didn’t have enough electricity to recharge batteries or to have enough full camera batteries 😆 but should be easier now that we have solar and a fridge!
I love watching your videos. Bring joy and relaxing. Imagine myself living in a peaceful beautiful place. Quietness sanctuary. It's a heaven on earth I called
Two most amazing couples. I love your way of living and most beautiful lady who comes from a totally different part of the world to experience and value living our island life.
Your videos are addictive, indeed. Indonesia has been my most favourite country ever since I visited Palopo, Sulawesi Selatan (Island) in '98. Even though I will settle in Pilipinas (Philippines) I have been dreaming of setting a second home (base) there in Indonesia. And Sumatra attracts me a lot. I visited Pakanbaru and Bengkalis Islands (East of Sumatra, within Sumatra region), and i fell in love with those places instantly. You are living in paradise, and I envy you. Terima kasih untuk sharing.
This just reminded me of my 2 months work on 12 islands in Lake Victoria in Uganda. My life was also very similar to that and the crazy thing is that even after relocating to Dubai, at times I miss that simple quiet life where water waves could always push themselves to the wood of my room. I can't forget the usual days of searching for phone network and the crazy timing of the boat taxi🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've done quite a bit of snorkeling over the years with in Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica and Hawaii. My kids got into snorkeling the last two years and we did trips to Belize and Hawaii. Diving is high on my bucket list and hoping to learn with my daughter who is 12. Maybe in the next year or two. I really enjoy your channel and videos.
Do you only go fishing? Do you also gather sea shells during low tide? We do this in the Philippines when it's low tide and it's a lot of fun! We get different kinds of sea shells and even fish that got stranded due to the low tide. I really missed this experience...
I am loving your channel! My husband and I lived for over 30 years on the island of Saipan. The early years were awesome - before the is economy boomed and the infrastructure grew. We lived simply. Not as simple are you guys but it was awesome. One issue though was typhoons! We got some horrendous storms that flattened the island. How are your typhoons there? Do you guys have concrete shelters?
I just found your channel while watching exploring alternatives… I love it… I will watch all tho old episodes and the new one. What do you feed the dogs do you make the food or buy it…. God Bless you both while enjoying a beatiful life….
Ooh we’re so happy to read that you like our videos ☺️ We feed our dogs fish and leftovers. We sometimes buy dog food as well when we’re on the mainland as they don’t sell it here 🫣
You live in a beautiful island 🏝️ the names is so hard to pronounce. Pu-la-u Po-to-to-ga. Did I say it right?😄 nevertheless it’s so far from towns and transportation! I wish you both happiness and peace and love from the USA 🇺🇸 💟☮️
I love ' l'm going spear fishing - can you pick me up about 11?' Like can you pick me up from the supermarket?' What a truly amazing young woman she is! And by the way Marjolaine...how is it you speak such exceptionally good English? I taught EFL for many years - l didn't have many students as good as you!
Yes, the chicken’s roam freely but every night An puts them in the chicken house and every morning he takes them out. The little ones stay in a basket to protect them from snakes or big lizards.
I think it’s because she has babies, which is vulnerable to various prey. And the hen needs to be with them to nest. Based on chickens my parents raised. Even other chickens will eat the little ones.
We don't have spearguns as of yet, we just use pole spears. But hoping thecthe future when we make our move from Portugal that we will buy a couple guns.
Oh it's fun! It's a bit harder, you have to wait for the fish to come to you! P.s. Don't mind all the messages on your vids as I catch up, it helps with the algorithm to boost your channel! 😊
I have watched 4 or more of your videos, but one thing lacking is you introducing yourself and your husband so we know your names. I know KELA, your dog. It would it more personal I think. Just first name is fine. Your new house looks pretty.
- You caught fish, not a fish, but fish. I call that a massive success. You provided food for you && your husband && he provides building the house. You work well together. 6:55
Hahaa yes ☺️
I love this couple 💚

You and your hubby living the dream most people dreaming of. Very original and down to earth. Thank you for sharing. 🤗🤗🤗🥳🥳🥳💖💖💖
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! ☺️
How I miss the lifestyle we used to live on an Island north of Darwin, Australia. You take me back to those days with these videos. Thank you so much - am loving it.

Epic!!
I know! Once l started binge watching l was up half the night!
Yes that’s exactly why we ended up building them a coop as well 😬

Oh wow! We do get some pretty crazy storms here but luckily no typhoons 😅

Do you allow the chickens to roam freely? I didn’t understand how they are kept. What is the dog’s name?
Yes, the chicken’s roam freely but every night An puts them in the chicken house and every morning he takes them out. The little ones stay in a basket to protect them from snakes or big lizards.
Maigi manukna si bg aan te 😀👏
Wow.....
🙏🏼
Do more catch and cook😂
Yesss definitely planning on filming more of what we catch & cook!
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤😊
❤️
Why do you keep the one chicken in that little basket?
I think it’s because she has babies, which is vulnerable to various prey. And the hen needs to be with them to nest. Based on chickens my parents raised. Even other chickens will eat the little ones.
I like your dug out canoe. Can you build one for me and ship it over to me? Give me the cost.
Oh my gosh, I'm so scared of the ocean😭😭. I would never.
😆😬
An is a real talker eh hehehe
Hahahaa 😆
We don't have spearguns as of yet, we just use pole spears. But hoping thecthe future when we make our move from Portugal that we will buy a couple guns.
Yes! We’d also love to get a pole spear, looks so fun too!
