    The F-head sixes also had that problem, with the exhaust valves being located too close to each other.

    a slighter better fix would have been to use steel fitting of the same size you used...the brass has twice the thermal expansion rate that the cast iron and will put additional stress on the cracks as the engine warms up....a steel fitting won't have this problem as expands at nearly the same rate as the cast iron...a bottle of block seal will stop any seepage you get from the cracks..cheers
