Watching that Jeep running around the fields and digging it's way out of that mud hole ... it has so much heart !! It would be a shame for such a historic piece of equipment to be destroyed. It may be good for driving around your yard to get parts, etc.
Go for the restoration... mostly all flat panels on that vintage Jeep and that is a really strong running engine. Plus you never stopped smiling so smiles per mile are extremely high!!!
You were having SOOOO much fun driving it. I think you should fix it up. You know how to weld and shape metal, but you have so many other projects. Your choice as usual.
Frame looked ok. Patch it up , fix the clutch. It's a good beater. My 47 Buick had a stuck clutch now, sitting to long. I'm going to try and get it unstuck! At least you had fun drinking it. The engine sounds good! Thanks for the video, Brent!😊
You might try cranking on it while it’s chained to the fork lift or against a tree with the clutch in and in first gear. If it doesn’t work I guess you’ll have to go the harder method. It looks like a lot of fun to drive.
Just wanted to say again, how much I love your shop. Enjoyed your channel for years. So glad things are going your way, after the struggles of last year. 👍
Great show, Brent. I vote to replace the clutch, then add some brakes and seats. Get the grandsons to help, and they'll have a fun farm buggy to drive around.
Me and my roommate watched your beginning-to-end big green truck video yesterday. "This guy can bend and stitch metal to his heart's content like my mum can trim me a pair of pants." ...was the take-away. What a unique, badass yet classy vehicle you have built there, man. Combining those two cabins to make the crew cab extension... holy fff. Very amazing. The interior is so freaking cool too... Bravo. Anyone should aim at being as good doing their thing as you are doing yours.
When I saw how long the video was, I had doubts that I would stay to the end... Now I think there should have been more! Just can't believe a old jeep could keep me glued to the screen that long...
Brent, that was fantastic. It brought me back to my youth when my buddies and I would drag things out of the woods or from behind barns to get them running. We didn't worry too much about the fancy stuff like clutches or brakes either. Thanks!
Throw a couple of hundred bucks at it, a couple of days work, a couple of videos and at least you would have a working project for an enthusiast to buy. Maybe you could get a good swap for it at one of the events you go to. You could just drive it around and offer a ride to any prospective buyer.
I've done a bunch of those things , we found the easiest way to service the clutch is to pull the engine, set it on the front bumper and remove the flywheel housing. The only Trickey part is putting the clutch fork back in, you hang it from a cord and feel around with thw cable until it drops in place.
Funniest video on will it start yet! Yes, maybe Ryder can fix her up and replace the ATV😂, give him something bigger to break. Thanks for the videos and mixing it up all the time.
The first vehicle I had the opportunity to drive , solo aged 12, 1955. Long story, but a great memory. I remember, not feeling the least bit scared, and the experience taught me that machines and I, were going to get along just fine.
Man Brent, your drive around the field brought back memories of my youth, No, clutch, sloppy steering, questionable if any brakes, That was just a lot of fun, I was laughing the whole time, The only thing that would make it better is if you brought Pablo with you but I don’t think he’d of liked it, I get the feeling he only likes riding around in finished projects.
Back in 1973 I had a 1947 CJ2A with a 3A window. I was just a kid then (19 years old) and I had a ball with that old Jeep. It had about the same amount of body rot as yours does. I fixed the rust and put a rag top on it. I ended up trading it to my Dad for some property he had. I built a house on that property and married my awesome wife a year later. We are still married and will be celebrating our 45 anniversary on the 27th of this month.
Congrats your wife must be a saint for putting up with you for 45 yrs lol jk they all gotta be know mine is after 35 yrs folks don't stay married anymore guess the works you say at the alter mean nothing they make to easy to call it quits an it's sad they don't wanna work at it 1 fight oh I want a divorce wth
Thank you Brent I too have a 65 cj3 I need to get running. So thank you my friend.. I to lost a plug but no welder. I used a 1/2 " easy out not easy at all.
i have always heard about old jeep guys selling or trading off jeeps just because replacing a clutch is so involved. so happy to see the joy you were having getting it running. fun ride thank you.
Brent, restore it! You won't find too many oldies like that around! It's a classic! Once you do restore it, a camo coat of paint would make it awesome!
Love his attitude, he never stopped smiling & laughing - he was having a ball !. Btw I know zilch/zero about cars but for being 70/80 years old that engine sounds great!
you should do a full restoration on it there isn't that many willy jeeps out there do a full restore content on it that would be cool as heck theses willy jeeps are super rare
A great piece of military history. I would think a military restoration for all the vets out there in any country would be awesome! I loved the General build so this would be fitting.
I had so much fun going through this with you. I was even laughing through a lot of it. And that's saying quite a bit for me . Good production thank you.
I absolutely love it! I could see some minimal metal work. Fuel, cooling, and brake system! Hope you guys are enjoying your trip down in the land of the somewhat free!
Brent, you gotta make that think whole again! It's an awesome piece of history that deserves to be brought back to life. Think of it as a grown up version of a side by side, but with a hell of a lot more style.
A lot of history there, Brent . Bring it back to respectable condition and paint it to match the general. It would be a hoot to cruise all them back roads you are blessed with, in that "Critter". Greetings from Atlantic Canada.
For the amount of joy that thing brought you and how well that motor runs its worth trying to get a working clutch in that thing along with a couple seats. Would be fun just the way it is without any real restoration work
The first time I drove that style of Jeep was in 1966, 17 years old, in the Army at Shilo Manitoba. I couldn't get the grin off my face either!! You sitting on thaat wood is very similar to the feel of the original seats, harder than a Sergants heart. Loved it anyway and never passed up a chance to drive one. Great to see it under its own steam. Fix that clutch, and maybe a few of the holes and have at it. Maybe a real seat would be a good option. Loved this video, appealed to this old farts inner teenager.
now i know how and why crop circles show up in fields. lol Is there ever a time when you want to give up and say this engine won't start? As always, a great video.
Wow Brent i'm impressed that you even got that sucker running again!! Too bad that it has so much rust on it, might be some good practice for Ryder though. I hope you and Ester made it to Lonestar Roundup and are there now enjoying everything.
Think fix it and put on the road. Make it a give away project. Perfect swap a V-8, maybe turbos or not. New drive line, not that old junk. You have the skills and equipment to replace all the floor material and then weld up a lot of patch panels. This one could be nice. If you don’t use it for content then a couple questions...how much do you want for it and what state are you in ? That was entertaining.
The drivetrain is the best part about it! Might as well start with a new body and start with everything new if you are going to do all that. An old jeep makes the best yard machine they are like a little tug boat.
Brent, love the channel! Gotta say my husband and I have almost exclusively owned Ford's over the years and can count on one hand with left over fingers how many times I've had a spark plug seize and break like that. No bueno 😂
It's a classic. It needs to be totally brought back to life. Not many around anymore. If you do not want to do it, sell it to someone who will show it the love a Jeep deserves.
WOW ! that was some incredible multitask acrobacy there Brent, sitting on the floor, driving through mud, front camera , rear camera and on top of it flying a drone 👍🏼🤣
I have a small rusted out 1980 Suzuki Jimni LJ80 jeep here... I put an old engine hoist in the back, and a trailer hitch on both ends... It is great for dragging stuff around the yard... Great for picking up engines with the stands still attached to store in rail boxes... That engine in your jeep just screams save me please.. Just make sure you put in cup holders and a radio ;) Great video as always... thanks :)
You had me laughing right along with you when you were out bouncing that thing around in the field! Hahaha! I love those old flat fender jeeps! I would love to see you get it all fixed up and usable again!
I have a 46 I brought back to life recently. New carb, new electric ignition, the usual tune up stuff and the l134 cruises pretty good with 35s. The floor being gone isn’t bad if you’re a Sasquatch like me(6’3”). Need to take a little bit of back fender well out to get the seat back to a comfortable spot.
Oh nice, a lefty CJ2A. Willys Jeeps are always fun to bring back. Neat to see that it doesn't have an oil filter, which was optional back in the day. Bring it back! It can do double duty around there as a tractor. That's what they were meant to do, after all.
Hi from Michigan I had a46 Willy’s it had trans problems I had to double clutch it to shift it. Fix it up to run around the place so fun will be had by all.

I agree. It’s all flat panels. Probably beneath your skill level so get the kids help?
A fellow can have a lot of fun with a little 4 cylinder. You definitely made me laugh. Welcome to Texas. Hope y'all's trip was fun.
Definitely fix it up! I love Jeep Willy’s.
Thanks for bringing the General to the I h meet up yesterday. It was Really cool to meet you and your wife.
What he's not at home fixing this jeep? lol
@luisbatista1103 I'm pretty sure the world took a vote and Decided we needed more brents in the world. So they cloned him.
Just wanted to say again, how much I love your shop.
Enjoyed your channel for years.
So glad things are going your way, after the struggles of last year.
👍

Great new project thank you
Best vehicle I ever owned was a 46 Willy’s CJ2A. Never got stuck, Never broke down. ❤
I would like to see you restored as a world war II Jeep and you still are the best
Great fun, that little engine runs really well. Cool program Brent. All smiles here. 👍👍😁
You definitely got my interest now
When I saw how long the video was, I had doubts that I would stay to the end... Now I think there should have been more!
Just can't believe a old jeep could keep me glued to the screen that long...
I liked. I hope this Jeep Willys project continues until it turns from a rough stone into a diamond. Let's move on. Congratulations.
I would love to see you fix this one up ! Thanks for another , Brother !
What a cool machine. Yeh, I noticed it in the background... Ha!! Nice.
We definetly need to see more of this beauty!
A 1949 Willys was my first vehicle, I was 14, took 2 years of rebuilding with my dad. Enjoy the restoration.
Brent never seems to get discouraged nor does he ever give up! Always knows what to do next.
Use to use silver paint a lot on head gaskets back in the day....Some of the old cars were positive grounds back then....
Brent, that was fantastic. It brought me back to my youth when my buddies and I would drag things out of the woods or from behind barns to get them running. We didn't worry too much about the fancy stuff like clutches or brakes either. Thanks!
Great find very simple if all the essentials are there. What I like about you is you never give up.
Throw a couple of hundred bucks at it, a couple of days work, a couple of videos and at least you would have a working project for an enthusiast to buy. Maybe you could get a good swap for it at one of the events you go to. You could just drive it around and offer a ride to any prospective buyer.

Fix it for sure... Brent can do anything!
That was a fun video. A man with your talents could fix the jeep up in not too much time. It's a great toy to have.
That unit is in your barn for a reason, SAVE IT! Pablo would totally dig this rig.
You Big Little Kid. I can still hear you giggling. Ty for taking us along & Prayers for the shop while you are gone
Back in 1973 I had a 1947 CJ2A with a 3A window. I was just a kid then (19 years old) and I had a ball with that old Jeep. It had about the same amount of body rot as yours does. I love his laugh it made me very happy there's nothing like driving in an old jeep.
The motor in that jeep is telling you to fix me up. a great little brother to the General.
Thank you Brent I too have a 65 cj3 I need to get running. So thank you my friend.. I to lost a plug but no welder. I used a 1/2 " easy out not easy at all.
Good little project for the nephews to learn some mechanics and even fabrication.
i have always heard about old jeep guys selling or trading off jeeps just because replacing a clutch is so involved. so happy to see the joy you were having getting it running. fun ride thank you.
Minty !
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .
Later ...
Brent, restore it! You won't find too many oldies like that around! It's a classic! Once you do restore it, a camo coat of paint would make it awesome!
Fix it and give it to Ryder. He will probably smile as much as you, and what a project for both of you. God Bless.
Love his attitude, he never stopped smiling & laughing - he was having a ball !. Btw I know zilch/zero about cars but for being 70/80 years old that engine sounds great!

Good job my friend.
That "it just worked!" laugh never gets old. 😀
It actually kind of does get old
You definitely should fix it!
Yess, Ryder on his quad and the Jeep would be fantastic. I mean same terrain right? As always Big thumbs Up 👍 👌
That's a classic Willies! You should get it back on the road! :)
It's always a hoot watching you get these things running and driving after so many years. It looked like so much fun out in the field 😅
A great piece of military history. I would think a military restoration for all the vets out there in any country would be awesome! I loved the General build so this would be fitting.

Great revival Brent. Old school stuff there. Hate to see it just go back to sitting for years.
The best part is that is all open. easy to get to repairs.
A lot of history there, Brent . Bring it back to respectable condition and paint it to match the general. It would be a hoot to cruise all them back roads you are blessed with, in that "Critter". Greetings from Atlantic Canada.
It’s a CJ2A: civil edition, the small shifter between the seat it’s to engage the PTO at the back diferencial!
I had the exact same vehicle except I didn't have as many shifters. CJ2A 1947 vintage. ben
Yes ..go for full restoration.. Ryder will love it for his project car 😁👍👍😁
It would be great to see you fix this historic jeep.
For the amount of joy that thing brought you and how well that motor runs its worth trying to get a working clutch in that thing along with a couple seats. Would be fun just the way it is without any real restoration work

It was Definitely worth the time to get it running and Also the Fun and Enjoyment See You Driving around in the Field Brent
Saw this up on the lift the other day. Going to watch on the big screen.

I've worked on these old jeeps they're alot fun you can get parts from bumper to bumper would make a good video
Fix it !! A little brother for the General.
Wow Brent i'm impressed that you even got that sucker running again!! Too bad that it has so much rust on it, might be some good practice for Ryder though. I hope you and Ester made it to Lonestar Roundup and are there now enjoying everything.
There is just as much to start with as any other projects, who knows, could be worth it, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Best will it run vid on the internet! Genius!!

Helps me remember the 53 willys wagon I had for a while. great fun!!! it was almost in the same condition.
Brent You can make anything run ! I always enjoy "will it run " That Motor was stuck , That was Fun !:)
Awesome as Always Ooh I had a Toy one of these, i think it was just as rusty.. :)
It's a classic. It needs to be totally brought back to life. Not many around anymore. If you do not want to do it, sell it to someone who will show it the love a Jeep deserves.
Never a dull moment in Brent's videos.
Had so much fun watching this video, love them Willys ! Thanks a lot Brent
champion plugs notorious for snapping in half. Any plug hole that's got some depth will collect water and debris. Mix water and champions and snap!
Nice change of pace. Great job. Esther is the bomb!
Look like an entertaining ride, lol another good one 👍
What a great Willys Brent it runs great. You must fix it up it is crying to be back on the road, Great video as always thank you .God bless
Welcome back. So sorry for your loss
a nice project for your boy
That was GREAT! Good to see you having fun.
WOW ! that was some incredible multitask acrobacy there Brent, sitting on the floor, driving through mud, front camera , rear camera and on top of it flying a drone 👍🏼🤣

THE FUN YOU HAD RIDING AROUND IN THAT FIELD WAS WORTH THE WORK YOU PUT INTO IT , ENJOY / GOOD LUCK

I just love that new shop! I am jealous. GOOD things do come to those who wait!
Looks like you were having a blast on it!
Would like to see you dig into the clutch. Might be a bunch of debris jamming it up. Great video!
Build it. It's awesome!!! You laughed the entire time! Such a cool ride!!!!
Hey Brent, great video, nice to see you laughing and having a blast...Ralph
..
No clutch, no floor,no problem! Brent that willys will run forever. I seen one slammed with a drop beam out front.
Hi from Michigan I had a46 Willy’s it had trans problems I had to double clutch it to shift it. Fix it up to run around the place so fun will be had by all.
