I love Bob Seger and this is my favorite song of his. That piano, that voice, as soon as he sings the first line it makes me feel something every time. Get on a highway for a road trip and hit play on this song. It's a must.
Edit: I can suggest so many of his songs, but I would love for you guys to hear Sunspot Baby.

When you rock out to this on a long stretch of highway, the drums perfectly match the white lines rolling past, you can't unsee it after that, wherever you are listening to it. You can literally outrun whatever was bothering you! Saw his last tour for his "Ride out" album in Vegas. Never seen so many bikers eligible for social security in one place! Awesome party 🎉

You nailed it. His voice does pull you in. I grew up in the Detroit area and Bob Seger has been a part of my life from the very beginning of his career. Amazing artist who puts so much of his soul into his music. I would recommend listening to the ‘Live’ Bullet album by Bob Seger. One of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll albums of all time. In my lifetime I’ve seen them in concert at least 10 times. From anywhere in a bar with 300 people in his early years to the Pontiac Silverdome with 70,000 plus on hand.

This song always makes the road call to me. A long time ago (early 80s) I had just finished my exams in my last year of my degree. I was tieing up loose ends, and getting ready to go to grad school. I was somewhat worn out and disillusioned (probably "burnt out" by today's standards) and questioning what I was doing in life. One day, I came out of the physics building (I was a physicist in those days) at lunch time, it sunny, and warm, and I made a sudden decision - I got on my motorcycle, went home, packed a backpack and hit the highway. I basically stopped 4000 miles later (I drove from the east coast of Canada to Vancouver Island on the west coast). Believe me, I can relate to every word in this song (except maybe the girl in the bar lol - I WAS a nerdy physicist after all)

In the 80s and I always went to see BOB when ever he came around. In 1983He played the Omni in Atlanta Where Atlanta Hawks played at that time. BOB sold the Omni out 4 nights in a row. Back in seventies we always played Night Moves at the pool hall. He is a Class Act . I'm not going to list songs because there are to many . His Sax player Alto Reed back in the seventies especially on. Turn The Page. I could go on and on about BOB but I would have to write a book.So for now kick back and listen to some BOB SEGER and enjoy the music. For now Peace ☮️ Out

I'm with you, Asia ~ I saw Bob live 13 times ~ The first in Cleveland, 1977, and the last in Pittsburgh, 2019, two weeks before in last retirement show in Philly ~ In the 70's, he wasn't a pretty boy, like let's say Frampton, and he wasn't a bad boy, like let's say Ozzy ~ But it was his so very soulful voice that captured me and drew me in, it is like velvet to my ears ~ I became a fan in '76 hearing Live Bullet played by one of my sis's friends, so I had to scrounge around magazine stores to read Rolling Stone and Creem to read about his music, then scrounge record stores for his earlier stuff on records ~ If you don't go back to the beginning of his journey, you are missing out!!

A lot of people put Bob Seger and Bruce Springsteen up against each other. No contest Bob all day!

Luckily . . . LUCKILY . . . I was born in 1961 and grew up listening to everything Bob created and saw him live 6 times. He has always spoke to this St. Louis kid.

Man, you guys are really hitting on some great ones lately!!
I would like to suggest Sunspot Baby, You’ll Accompany Me & Still The Same. I can’t remember if you’ve done the last two but I’m almost positive you haven’t done the first one.

We started this summer with our adventures. We first adventured to the south west. It was all planned out, paid for the rooms at every location before we left the house. Went by air and it was a pain in the butt. So when we got back she said I wish we had went to yellowstone. So I said get in the car. Took weeks seeing everything we could as the map showed things to see. Sometimes not covering a state in a day, we moved from Georgia to yellowstone, to the Titons, the bad lands, Colorado Rocky's and worked our way back to Georgia. Never knew that morning where we would sleep. Sometimes it was hotels and it was rest areas a few times. Got a camper for the next adventure and took a 70 year old truck driver who was a good friend. He said after 2 weeks of that he went to tell his family what we did and it took hours to cover just parts of the trip. You can do more and see more than your mind can comprehend. Be safe but take your adventure, no plans just see everything you want to as google maps says what's next. It's amazing. I hear this song and think I can't wait to roll me away again.

Bob Seger is the only songwriter whose songs have so much meaning. You understand wha he is trying to say.
