    Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band were my first rock concert in the late 70's. This song is just one of a whole bunch of major amazing hits. He philosophizes, he rocks, and does some killer ballads. Check out Katmandu, or Night Moves to catch the spectrum of his delivery. For more motorcycle riding tunes check out Fire Lake and Against the Wind.

    A lot about recreation is about re-creating, like doing that perfect wave all over again. It doesn't have to be surfing, it can be anything. Going out and getting it right, all over again.

    Bob Seger is a legend. Lucky enough to see him at least a half dozen times between 1977- 2019. Twice at the World Series of Rock in Cleveland, OH. He sounded as good in 2019, as he did in 1977. He has a long list of hits… Turn the Page is my favorite; you reviewed that awhile back.

    I saw Bob come out for Kids Rocks encode. All Kid said was I'd like to introduce The King, and the crowd went crazy because they knew Seger was there.

  • @itzel1735

    Nah, the song isn’t about the girl.
    It’s about getting away when you are “tired of your own voice” and running into someone who “I, too, am lost, I feel double-crossed and I'm sick of what's wrong and what's right”.
    Getting to where your soul begins to sing. ❤️✌🏽

    I don't think the song was really about a relationship with the woman he met, he had just decided in his mind to say "F*ck it" to everything and just drive away towards a different life. I think he had seen something similar in the woman's eyes, that she had some pain or was disillusioned with her life as well, and offered her the choice to come along.

    First time I heard this song was around 1984, it was played at the end of the movie Reckless, then a year or two later in the movie Mask with Eric Stoltz. Ever since, I've always loved this song and became a huge Bob Segar fan. He has a great voice live, it's amazing how much this sounds like the original version.

    • @MacMc691
      @MacMc691 11 месяцев назад

      @@FXMAN66 At the time, at least in my area, I couldn't find the soundtrack, we had a Tower Records too, but nothing. I did wind up buying the 45 from Romeo Void, that song still kicks ass, such an 80's song. lol Over the years, after the internet finally came along, I put a few soundtracks together to the movies I couldn't find soundtracks to back then, such as the movie, Tuff Turf, and a few others. The 80's had some great soundtracks, that's for sure.

    I do not believe in donating in order to help someone find good music and views but I do contribute in other ways. So if you want some great true rock legend schooling check this shit out!! Seger has 3 time periods. Pre Bullet band - Prime with Bullit band and last part of career with bullit band. All 3 are amazing but Nobody reacts to the pre bullit stuff and man are they missing out!!! "Leanin on My Dream" "River Deep, Mountain High" (Tina Turner cover) "Turn on Your Love Light" "Bo Diddley" from Smokin OP'S "2 + 2 = ?" "White Wall" .... these are some acid rock raw rock 70's funk . Even a lot of big Seger fans don't know these songs but sure as hell should!! Seger is a true rock god and there is No performer ever like him!!
