"Roll Me Away" is one of those songs that makes your very soul soar when you hear it! There's been a few times I was listening to this on the highway only to look down and see I was going over 100 mph. This song is pure musical magic!

One of Bob Seger's greatest driving songs! This also reminds me, react to the film "Mask" starring Eric Stoltz, Laura Dern, Cher, and Sam Elliott! An often forgotten 80's gem. ✌️✌️
I just made a post saying the same thing. SUCH a good movie! Not only does it have my favorite Bob Segar song, it also has my favorite Grateful Dead song, Ripple.

In Bob Seger and the Silver bullet band...you found the sweet spot of the North American 70s and 80s life. He is the default center of music from that time.
I'm sorry but I need to say what's on my mind. I've been listening to Bob Seger since the 70's. Everytime I hear him and the band, I always get emotional. I saw him on that same tour, 2018 "Roll Me Away" tour in Houston, TX. The show was delayed 2 hours due to violent thunderstorms. We were at an outdoor venue with lightning and thunder and I thought "Well, if I get struck by lightining, I"ll die listening to a great rock icon." It was worth it!

Nice one - I left almost the exact same comment, so maybe they'll take it on board: I'd love to see them react to Mask (or anyone do it for that matter: it's kinda forgotten these days). I didn't know about the Bruce Springsteen version, but honestly, I couldn't imagine Mask without this song now. Like you, I discovered Bob Seger because of it.
It's really unfortunate that there is so little footage of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band on stage. They were a superb live act. Catch them doing 'Get Out Of Denver' live. Smoking!
My friend bought a beat up, hollowed out van, we packed it up and headed to Colorado, from Indiana, and the only music we had was Bob's Live Bullet. Now THAT was a true road trip! What a blast!
The best part about being 70 & from Michigan is that I got to watch Bob before he was famous, at smaller, local venues around the state. Nice guy too. I love the unique voice; I love how he uses pianos & saxophones etc. in his rock band. Bob is one of a kind & still performs once in a blue moon for special things. He is 76 now & performed this October at the induction of Patty Loveless into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Sounds the same.
My 20 year old daughter at the time bought tickets for the two of us to see Bob Seger in 2019 for his Roll Me Away final tour for Father’s Day! It was an unforgettable concert in his hometown of Clarkston, Mi. It was so great to have that time with my daughter since she’s been away to college. Great bonding time on our 5 hour ride there from the Chicago area, had an amazing time at the concert, then rode all the way back home talking about the concert and catching up on life! It was the greatest gift ever!!! Bob Seger rocked and Alto Reed basically stole the show with his powerful Sax! We were both shocked and saddened to hear of his passing the very next year. R.I.P. Alto, thanks for the amazing experience and the unforgettable memory of that great day!
