The sound track to us older people of our lives the older you get the more meaning his music takes on.
He definitely provided the sound track to our lives.
Especially "Night Moves" -- "With autumn closing in" is a JOLT.
So, soooooo true!
@@sallyphillips9175 That gets me every time.
I had the smarts, but, I wasn't smart enough to do well in school. I could have taken my education further, I could have pursued any career I wanted, but, I enjoyed working with my hands. So I had one physical job after another until I got a job with a major oil company. And now after a 38 years as a refinery operator I have finally retired. Financially, I'm in great shape, physically not so much, pretty much hobbled. So with that bit of self pity out of the way, I can say that the Bob Seger that gets too me the most is "Like A Rock."
Bob Seger is an American treasure. Perfect road trip song.
Bob is a rocker but don’t neglect his ballads. If you haven’t yet heard Shame On The Moon, treat yourself. Never disappoints.
Seger's "The Ring" is one of the saddest (and most misunderstood) songs ever.
'Understanding' and 'Beautiful Loser' are two of my favorite ballads by Seger, but there are so many.
Still the same is my favourite of his
Yes please
He also is the king of the power ballad
My absolute favorite song from Bob. It’s a story about life decisions and creating a life style that you can live with. ♥️✌🏼😎
Amen.
Same.
Nicely put ❤
This song was in the movie MASK with Cher, Eric Stoltz and Sam Elliott. It’s a true story. Maybe a movie to consider for your movie channel ☺️
This one plus Katmandu
This song comes on at the ending climax of this great movie. Hard not to tear up when Cher puts the tacks in the board and says " now you can go anywhere baby"
@@dawnpatrol700 Right!? 😭
Oh, I just said the same thing. I didn't see your comment. I agree!! 👍
@@Chris.Davis.2 Great minds think alike 😉
"Roll Me Away" is one of those songs that makes your very soul soar when you hear it! There's been a few times I was listening to this on the highway only to look down and see I was going over 100 mph. This song is pure musical magic!
If you were riding, you'd probably like these.

Hollywood Nights is like that for me, even moreso.
@@tsgeisel it's funny you mention that. Bill Payne of Little Feat was the guest piano player on "Hollywood Nights", and after they finished recording, Bob Seger let him take a copy of the song home with him. Bill put it on while driving on the highway, and before he knew it, he was driving 120 mph. There are songs that bring that out of you, you can't help it!
Lol. Been there!
me too on 2 wheels
The true test of greatness is if the song still gives you goosebumps many years after the first time. ✌️
So true
Here in Michigan we call him Uncle Bob!!❤
Live outside Detroit. Love this guy!❤🩹❤
Bob Seger He doesn't write songs, he writes STORIES set to music.
Absolutely true ❤
The huge smiles on both of your faces says it all! So glad you listened to this one. My absolute favorite of his.
My favorite to ❤
Bob is one of America’s greatest singers and a national treasure. So glad you guys reacted to this song. There are a lot of great Seger songs to choose from. Thanks for your great reactions. 👏👏🇨🇦
You just can't hear this song without becoming emotionally involved.....
His music sounds better to me with every passing year.
Absolutely true ❤
One of Bob Seger's greatest driving songs! This also reminds me, react to the film "Mask" starring Eric Stoltz, Laura Dern, Cher, and Sam Elliott! An often forgotten 80's gem. ✌️✌️
I just made a post saying the same thing. SUCH a good movie! Not only does it have my favorite Bob Segar song, it also has my favorite Grateful Dead song, Ripple.
...riding songs
I also recommended it, such a great movie.
Love that movie
Bob Seger - you really need to hear his "Come to Poppa" and "Her Strut" Will make Amber blush and Jay smile
I have seen him so many times through out the years, including his farewell tour. He has always been one hell of a singer!
I saw him on that same tour, 2018 "Roll Me Away" tour in Houston, TX. The show was delayed 2 hours due to violent thunderstorms. We were at an outdoor venue with lightning and thunder and I thought "Well, if I get struck by lightining, I"ll die listening to a great rock icon." It was worth it!
This is my favorite Bob Seger song. Back when I used to ride on 2 wheels, I had this song playing in my head.
Use to ride?
@@madmanonwheels5150 I was involved in a head-on collision with a drug addict in a mini van. After a long recovery, and how the roads where I live have gotten too dangerous, I had to stop.
@@timothyforce1949,
Dang, man. I'm sorry that riding was taken from you.
I know how you feel. My days of riding are not technically over, but a lot more seldom now.
Bob Seger is such a legend, it's undisputable.
I once heard a radio DJ describe this type of Bob Seger song as 'Majestic". In all the years since I've still not heard a better description. Roll on Bob.
Great description of this song!
One of the most unappreciated people in Rock N Roll. Bob paid his dues and is just consistent.
It’s impossible to go wrong with Bob Seger 🔥 I recommend their song Sunburst, he wrote it as a tribute for KISS back when they opened for them
This song captures the complete essence of who and what Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet band does.
The PASSION with which he sings this song always gets me in my feelings! 😢😍
Bob Seger's music is poetry for the soul.
Think I've said it before here, but there's not a bad song in Seger's catalog ❤
Amen 🕊️🕊️🕊️🌠🎶🎵🎵
I’m 61,I’ve seen hundreds of concerts but seeing him live in 1981-still one of the best shows I’ve EVER seen.
I’m 61 also, seen Bob a few times, also in 81 in Dallas
58 here! Also saw him in 81 in Augusta, GA! A great show! Made my way to stage for encore...Night Moves!
You can tell when watching him perform that he totally feels it, it becomes him.
Always loved Bob especially “we got tonight
We've Got Tonight
Favorite Bob Seger song!! It is just beautiful!!
My very favorite Seger song! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
He opened with this back in 08. Already had us jumping up and singing along.
He’s the best!
Seger makes you smile and cry all at the same time . Legend
Bob's one of the best story tellers and love that voice.
A song that was never released as a single, but my absolute favorite Seger song is Famous Final Scene. The mastery of the lyrics, and the melodys are absolutely AMAZING!
I agree. Amber, make it happen. You need to check that one out.
Take it calmly and serene
ABSOLUTELY! It’s what I had playing as I drove away from the house where my x decided she no longer wanted me.
Great song
Music Americana!! Bob Seger singing blues and funky old soul...old time rock n roll!!
You had me at Bob Seger!!!!
The piano on this is killer!
Craig Frost on the piano.
‘Night Moves’ would be a good follow up to this one the next time you have a Bob moment. IMO it’s one of his most iconic and earliest big hits and launched his career. It’s great storytelling. It has a similar vibe to this one which came out about 6 years later.
I ❤ this song!
This… is Bob Seger’s best song.
Not the Best, but one of the Best ones!!!
My uncle did that famous “Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band” logo. He’s a noteworthy artist who’s also done logos for Super Bowls, movies, sports teams, award shows, and other musicians.
One of the best storytellers ever!
Another great Michigan Rocker, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band! The keyboardist Craig Frost was with Grand Funk in the 1970s before going back to the Silver Bullet Band where he bagan.
Jay &Amber, you'll love his "Hollywood Nights", "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" and "Night Moves", !!!
Seger's finest and that's saying a lot!
Bob Seger is not just a Singer He plays The Piano and Guitar TOO 😁
When I saw Seger in 96, he played the piano for Turn the Page
@@rondryden4534 I Seen Bob Seger for the first time in 1980 it was the Against The Wind Tour and He Was Awesome. He played The Piano on several Songs and They sounded as good as The Studio version if not Better. Have a Wonderful Blessed Day 😇🙏😇
I love this song. Another one from the same album as this, and MY personal favorite, is "Shame on the Moon."
If this song doesn’t bring a smile to your face and a yearning in your heart… awesome song!
"The Fire Inside" has to be the next Bob Seger stop.... it has fantastic piano.
I KNEW you'd love this song. Great choice. Next SEGER classic to check out: "Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser" from the LIVE BULLET. This live medley has been a rock radio staple for over 45 years. Trust me on this one and go with it. Enjoy!
Bob Seger is one of my favorites.
Bob Seger was the only music my Mom would let us play Saturday morning cleaning the house, lol. Come to Poppa and Her Strut are are great songs
You guys need to do Night Moves by Bob Seger! You keep missing it and its one of the best :D
My friend bought a beat up, hollowed out van, we packed it up and headed to Colorado, from Indiana, and the only music we had was Bob's Live Bullet. Now THAT was a true road trip! What a blast!
Love the grit in his voice… my favorite artist
Rock and Roll Never Forgets by Bob Seger, that's the one you need to hear!
I am 62 n this song just makes me wanna ride on the back roads of south Dakota n cruise n just be free in the wind n enjoy the country side waving to n meeting people n just enjoying life because if u don't it will roll away from u so don't let it thx bob u r the greatest n thx for the music
I always loved to hear him sing.
Real Love is awesome by Bob Seger
In Bob Seger and the Silver bullet band...you found the sweet spot of the North American 70s and 80s life. He is the default center of music from that time.
Try Hollywood Nights for a highway road tune that will get you a speeding ticket. Driving beat.
My favorite artist of all time! “Night Moves” is my favorite and likely will be yours as well when you react to it.
Absolutley my favorite artist of all time. His songs are just as relevant today as they were when they were released and will continue to be that way.
This song played over the end credits of Mask (with Cher and Sam Elliott. Not The Mask with Jim Carey). That was the first time I heard it and it instantly became my favorite Bob Segar song. I’d like to suggest Mask for a future Movie Monday or Film Friday. Bob Segar’s music is played throughout. Of course there is also a version with Bruce Springsteen’s music as well. Springsteen was the director’s original choice. They couldn’t get the rights initially.
Nice one - I left almost the exact same comment, so maybe they'll take it on board: I'd love to see them react to Mask (or anyone do it for that matter: it's kinda forgotten these days). I didn't know about the Bruce Springsteen version, but honestly, I couldn't imagine Mask without this song now. Like you, I discovered Bob Seger because of it.
This is one of my favorites from Bob and the band.
It's really unfortunate that there is so little footage of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band on stage. They were a superb live act. Catch them doing 'Get Out Of Denver' live. Smoking!
This song is the start to every one of my road trips!!
This is my favorite Bob Seger & the SBB's song. 💜
Finally!!!!! My favorite Bob Seger song. Such an amazing song lyrically and musically. Thank you....
Gotta do Shame On the Moon, and You'll Acompany Me by Bob Seger
Heck yeah!! Bob Seger ruled 1976 to 1986! I saw he 4 times in the 1980's and it like a spiritual revival. You always feel uplifted and great following his shows! Seger, Mellencamp, and Springsteen were all bringing it! Seger did it so well, my mother who didn't listen to Rock loved him. The beard may have helped because she loved some Kenny Rogers too!
I've been waiting for them to do "Shame on the Moon" as well
Accompany Me, my very, very Seger favorite!
My favorite Bob Seger song! Thank you so much!
What. A. Song! What. A. Voice! GOLDEN.
I blasted this song driving away from a 10 year toxic relationship. I felt like flying with happiness. Thanks Bob 👍
My all time favorite Seger tune. I have told my wife to make sure this is played at my funeral. Great tune and a great story.
Please check out his live album Silver Bullet Live.
Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser will show you how good a young Bob Seger was in concert.
One of my very favorite Bob Seger songs!
I feel sorry for anyone who never had the privilege of seeing Segar and the Silver Bullet Band live. I went with my mom back in the mid-90s, then again on his retirement tour with my daughter. Thirty-plus years in between live performances and both were powerful and awe-inspiring.
Bob Seger is such a great storyteller.
A man from Michigan with incredible vocal talent and incredible song writing lyrics. Musicians and vocalists before autotune where the real deal.
SO many great artists from Michigan! Love them.♥♥
This is my favorite Seger song. And they’re all good.
This song has always made me feel uplifted
He puts so much into his performances, lot of soul
So glad y’all liked it. This is my favorite Bob Seger song
Bob Seger is just flat-out amazing.
What a sense of freedom, joy and empowerment.
One of Bullet Bob’s best. Saw them live with Grand Funk Railroad’s drummer Don Brewer sitting in. This song blew the roof off.
This song was used in the film Mask with Cher and Sam Elliot. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it to react to on your movie channel.
I'm sorry but I need to say what's on my mind. I've been listening to Bob Seger since the 70's. Everytime I hear him and the band, I always get emotional. His songs and his output always makes me crank the volume up. He is.the most gifted songwriter I have ever heard. The Silver Bullet Band rules to no end. I Ron Dryden salute Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. ❤❤
My 20 year old daughter at the time bought tickets for the two of us to see Bob Seger in 2019 for his Roll Me Away final tour for Father’s Day! It was an unforgettable concert in his hometown of Clarkston, Mi. It was so great to have that time with my daughter since she’s been away to college. Great bonding time on our 5 hour ride there from the Chicago area, had an amazing time at the concert, then rode all the way back home talking about the concert and catching up on life! It was the greatest gift ever!!! Bob Seger rocked and Alto Reed basically stole the show with his powerful Sax! We were both shocked and saddened to hear of his passing the very next year. R.I.P. Alto, thanks for the amazing experience and the unforgettable memory of that great day!
A life memory. So happy you got to share this with your daughter. I have 3 daughters and times like this bring true meaning to life.
lyrically, this is one of the most well-written songs ever....!!!!!
In the truck or on my bike, this is the first song on my playlist. Nothing like going down the road on the bike and have a hawk flying just ahead of you. THE BEST! 😎
When I was riding, on a mini trip, I admired a couple of hawks flying.
If this song is on your playlist, you' probably like these.

I’ve literally traveled across the entire United States on my Harley - from Florida to the Rocky Mountain states and back - with nothing but Bob Seger and The Eagles on a non-stop loop. Greatest riding music ever.
Always enjoy your reaction videos and you can't go wrong with Seger! His tune "Shame On The Moon" should be on your list soon.
One of my favorite Seger songs. ❤❤❤
When I was traveling the country, this song was my anthem. To this day, it's difficult to listen to it without tearing up
He never disappoints
The best part about being 70 & from Michigan is that I got to watch Bob before he was famous, at smaller, local venues around the state. Nice guy too. I love the unique voice; I love how he uses pianos & saxophones etc. in his rock band. Bob is one of a kind & still performs once in a blue moon for special things. He is 76 now & performed this October at the induction of Patty Loveless into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Sounds the same.
My favorite Bob Seger song. 👍🏼
Love, love love this Bob Seger tune. Seger with his blues and rockin' vibe and John Mellencamp with his folksy rock are two of the best Midwestern story tellers of all time. More of both please...
My absolute favorite Seger song and lyric…full of so many beautiful observations- ‘stood alone on a mountaintop’ ‘spoke to the faintest first starlight,’everything about this takes you on the journey. You feel it and the music carries you, up and down those roads. The piano player was mentioned-though in this video it is Silver Bullet member Craig Frost, the studio version is Roy Bittan from the East Street Band. It actually started off more mid-tempo, but during a studio break they turned it into THIS! ‘Nuff said!
I grew up on Bob Seger. He is such a great story teller. Great raspy rock-n-roll voice and the Silver Bullet Band are amazing musicians in their own right.
Love Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band!!! I think this is your 12th or 13th visit to his catalog! Can’t go wrong with his songs; my absolute favorite is “Turn the Page”, which you’ve already done (thank you!). Explore his cover of Chuck Berry’s “C’est La Vie” next.
